Thank you!! This is EXACTLY.WHAT MY PROBLEM WAS TOO! I got an estimate of almost $1000 to replace it, they said it was not something they could just fix, that it had to be replaced...i didn't believe them, so after unboltng the seat, and realizing it wasnt something that was just stuck, I came across your video...i fixed this in five minutes, I know nothing about cars, but your video was so informational, it was an easy fix!! And a huge savings! So THANK YOU!!
I had this same problem, thought it would cost me hundreds of dollars to fix or more! Although I was glad it was stuck where I could drive safely. BUT it was annoying that no one else could adjust the seat. Thanks to you, now we can all drive the Rav4 again! You are a life-saver!!! :) mine was a Rav4 2015 too. I wonder if it is a common problem. I shared on facebook so more can see this video.
2013 le here exact same problem, you're a life saver. I was totally pissed this morning after swapping cars with the wife, thanks to you I got the seat back to her position while watching the video.

Takes about 3 minutes & some light effort to remove the seat, personally i hate bending down to look under the seat so i would have just taken it out to make it easier. Nice fix though!

It's just a poor design.
I had the same problem and fixed it myself. Toyota dealer was asking $180 just to check what was wrong with it .
