Listening to the Album Dana Dane forever yesterday reminded me how musical that album is. Its aged VERY well right? I loved "Lonely man" when I first heard that album decades ago because I wanted more of that "Love at first sight vibe". Love What dirty minds you have, Jonny the dipper, Dana Dan 4 ever, ect. And I do like his 3rd album, i sure wish he made another with herby

My #2 album of all time only album I have ahead of Great Adventures is Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold us Back. Story telling, creativity, lyrics, witty, funny, flow, multiple characters, ad libs This album had everything. My favorite song of all time in rap is Big Daddy Kane - Ain't No Half Steppin. But my second favorite song ever is Slick Rick - The Rulers Back. Those horns on The Rulers Back are hypnotizing I could listen to that song all day.

The Great Adventures of Slick Rick is one of my all time favorite albums across the musical spectrum. I was 4 years old at the time when that came out in 88', my older brothers at home had it on heavy rotation. It was one of my hip hop albums from The Golden Era of Hip Hop that was part of my growing up on listening to.
Dana Dane him and slick Rick they were also a rap game knango brothers their styles are so much alike but takes time to get use to them glad to see them doing well love to see them preform together thanks for sharing this one keep up the good work

Slick Rick's first album still remains one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of 1988. I give him the credit for playing different characters with a different tone especially Indian Girl. Speaking of Indian Girl, the closing part gave the laugh of all laughs. Once I first heard it, I died laughing for the better. TGAOSR album will never dies!!

I got my 'The Great Adventures of Slick Rick' LP signed by the man himself. I wasn't even born when his first three albums were released so for me to meet him and have him sign my shit was unreal. I've always said that Slick Rick is The Undisputed Godfather of Storytelling in Hip Hop, he set the blueprint foundation for a generation of MC's that came after him who were greatly influenced by him from Snoop Dogg, Nas, Notorious B.I.G, Outkast, etc. The Great Adventures of Slick Rick took the listener on an amazing journey into his world and giving us insight into his perspective. Hey Young World was Slick Rick at his best showing us an introspective glimpse of his way of reaching out to the youth giving them a positive message. This record in particular was part of The musical soundtrack to my life. Slick Rick is The Undisputed Godfather of Storytelling in Hip Hop.

I've always said that Slick Rick is The Undisputed Godfather of Storytelling in Hip Hop, he set the blueprint foundation for a generation of MC's that came after him who were greatly influenced by him from Snoop Dogg, Nas, Notorious B.I.G, Outkast, etc.
The Great Adventures of Slick Rick took the listener on an amazing journey into his world and giving us insight into his perspective. Hey Young World was Slick Rick at his best showing us an introspective glimpse of his way of reaching out to the youth giving them a positive message. This record in particular was part of The musical soundtrack to my life.
