Cammo undies with charge items have that problem because of how much the fire rate changes, at the start, the game thinks it's fully charged, but quickly realises you haven't charged for long enough, pretty sure it's just a bug
That video with people passing a basketball and a gorilla walking through unnoticed should be required watching before watching this series. Carl isn’t blind. Human perception is just extremely honed in on single tasks and points. Your perception of this game is not intrinsic; it was built. I love watching Carl play because he doesn’t follow the script of optimal play. I like optimal play but I also like seeing someone explore items the script would pass over and not even consider using. Yeah he passed over mutant spider but he was so happy about his little army.
Eh I feel like he’s well known as being alot less (or differently?) observant than others alot of the time, I think carl catches things most people miss and misses things most people see, for example last vod when he was finding womb tinted rocks left and right.
@@ultrasam6908 i got to dissagree about this, he experiment plenty during runs, doing stuff that lead to dumb damages cause he wanted to double check something, like if creep still hurts him, if the false phd still gives a black heart and allow him to lives, and more. It takes time for the new players to realize how insane some of the items are, especially with the way Carl playing the game. I wish he streamed it more often though
Long time watcher of Mario maker, seen this series and had to download this game, love your gameplay videos Carl, keep up the great work. Also props to your editor they dont get enough love.
Love the series and the good vibes! I've been playing Isaac for a couple of years now, this is taking me back to how I first felt when playing the game blind! Would love to see this series continue for sure!
I think you don't quite understand how good the D6 is yet so when you get it and immediately drop it, it can be so hard to watch haha though it has much more value as you understand what items you are picking up too
@schmingbeefin4473 i mean i did say that in my comment but even still even in that run he could have rerolled the devil deal since he knew both items as well as the dead sea scrolls as well as probably a few others i am not remembering
I really can't wait for him to unlock those, because that's really where the REAL progression begins. (SPOILER AHEAD) Also, I don't remember, though I doubt he has, has he encountered Boss Rush yet? He's gotta grind that soon if he wants to experience a LICK of the Repentance DLC content, which would probably break his entire brain.
Yes, but i think he doesnt really understand how OP it is yet. But then again he still doesnt know what most items do so its not useful for him at the moment
As someone who was there live, it was definitely a rough one. I think a lot of new joiners + less Mod presence. It was fine, just a wee bit frustrating
This game relies a lot on hiding info from the player, and even the game's main author eventually admitted it was a mistake: "If you were to ask me what I thought the biggest flaw with The Binding of Isaac is, I would 100% say it's not explaining what each item does... 700+ items later, this idea simply doesn't work at all... people would always say 'You can't play Isaac without a browser open on your phone.' I hated that that's how everyone played for so long, and still plays (unless they download that mod)... I have asked Nicalis if they could look into doing this as an optional HUD in the future." So... it's probably fine to add the mod which gives more info. Even the creator thinks it's better that way, and wants to make it official.
Personally, I can't wait for him to (Slight) SPOILER... Grind Greed mode, only to realize that Greedier mode exists and that he'll have to do it all over again lol.
Love this series, but people in the chat and people in the comments need to learn to STFU and stop spoiling. It’s getting more out of hand the longer the series goes on, and it’s distracting AF. Just let Carl play and learn at his own pace unless he expressly asks for your advice.
i'm liking all the vods just so he doesn't stop

At the current pace he's gonna unlock Dead God eventually
