I live in Hoboken from 1952 to 1959. My Mom and I lived at Northern end of Washington St. 1 bock west in a 4-story building, no elevator and was considered a poor person building. I still remember my first day of kinder garden in Hoboken. My friends and I used to play on the docks where many trains would be parked. Were good memories. I live in California now but would love to go back to Hoboken to see places I remember. Although from your video it is very modern and built up looks like. Great video, thank you.
My mom was born therr in 1929 and still alive! Said it was a depressed plsce then.. frank sinatra lived close by and before rich.. she cant believe its like this today....id like to go just to see Cake Boss!!!
This place is amazing to be honest, I got the chance to stay with my bosses friend during a convention. Its amazing at how while walking, you can keep moving in the direction you're going. If one street is giving the cars right of way, the other isn't, allowing you to continue in your direction. Not to mention how amazing the waterfront is.
Great job James! My hometown man. I'll always love that city. Unbelievable, I'm planning on going back for a visit next Summer, I live in Maine now for the last 22 years, but the pull on my heart is still as strong as it's ever been. Highlights: Restaurants, bars/pubs/taverns with pool tables and entertainment, and great people, the street scene is incredible, whatever you want, we got. lol. Italian feasts in the Summer, the feast of Saint Anne's the biggest of which, with fresh zeppolas, and of course fireworks.. Some goodfellas vibes, (well it's the birthplace, so...the old days ok?) Fun events in the Spring and Summer, festivals with some of the best rock from the old school. A small community with a large population under the shadow of NYC, it doesn't get any better, believe me. Hey, I was born in Hoboken, birthplace of Frank Sinatra, baseball, Pia Zadora, among others, and I remember the horse drawn cart (old white horse who us kids loved) selling fresh fish wrapped in newspaper, those were the days! You visit, you love.
Nice to see that you're actually from Hoboken...its yuppie ville and alot of outsiders claim they're from Hoboken when they weren't even born or raised there. I hate when ppl say they're from there when they really aren't. A true Hudson county person stands out and you can tell who is and who isn't from here.
I tried to drive in there today but the traffic coming in from Morristown scared me away. Thank you for the post, at least I got to see some of it until I visit it another time. Beautiful views!
Great video! I was visiting Jersey/NYC a week before you posted this. Will definitely explore more of Hoboken the next time I'm out there. And I read In Cold Blood in high school. Very disturbing but very good.
Thank you! I really appreciate it! Hoboken was definitely a nice area. I can’t wait to explore it some more. I agree, In Cold Blood was very good, but it’s the kind of book I only want to read once.
Thanks! That was a bad omission on my part. I wanted to go to his birthplace home during this day but ran out of time. I know it’s only a star on a sidewalk, but it’s definitely another fascinating aspect of Hoboken.
@@Jamesnu thinking about going to New Jersey this summer I live only 2.5 drive. Went to surf city jersey city 2021. Was thinking about Newark this time grab some lunch one day soon.
Why didn't you come to the west side of Hoboken? I wonder if you would still think it was nice 😆 🤣 #AndrewJackson #HBnR #TheSquareMile #HOB #HobokenHasIt
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. Whoever puts his trust in God’s Son will not perish but will have life that lasts forever. For God did not send His Son into the world to say it is guilty. He sent His Son so the world might be saved from the punishment of sin by Him. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. If today you hear His voice harden not your hearts. Now is the time to be saved!

I hear you! I get very annoyed when people go about without a mask. I always wear mine except when I move away from people so I can talk to the camera for these videos then it goes right back on. I'm sorry you had to move away from Hoboken. From the day I spent there it seems like a nice place!
@@mickeyrotundo8653 Thanks! I’ll only take off my mask if I’m filming myself and no one is near me, but even if no one is close to me and I’m not recording I’ll still wear it. It doesn’t bother me and it’s the right thing to do.

Green Pear Cafe Hoboken is a must, fresh, modern yet delish!
Thanks! I'll have to check it out sometime!
When it comes to Italian food, it is salami not pepperoni :D NJ is so beautiful.

I was told there’s a street in Hoboken with stores and food

Going there next year where is the closest hotel to stay there?

I'm from the West. What airport would I fly into to get to Hoboken? Your video is really good, and now I want a "lobster tail" from Carlos!!
