37 year smoker and I've tried it all. What works for me is wellbutrin and lozenges. The Chantix works also but has been pulled off the market so I had to go to wellbutrin and it actually works better for me. The patch gave me a bad seizure requiring hospitalization and so that was out for me. So far so good with wellbutrin and lozenges.
same thing happened to me! I was going to get chantix and it was pulled. So i just got prescribed wellbutrin to quit smoking. Has it helped? Have you smoked at all?
@@iuvcats3334 Yes it has helped me, and works well. No I haven't had any slips and smoked any cigarettes at all. I'm at the point finally where I no longer have strong cravings and occasionally after my morning coffee will I get a slight pang for a smoke but it's gone after a couple of minutes. Good luck with your endeavor and I hope you can also quit.
I’m headed to the doctor today.. so ready to give up smoking. I relapsed another a decade 2 years ago.. I think I have underlying depression . This info was so helpful
Thank you for offering up these other methods. I think next time I feel anxiety- or a stressful emotional situation- I’ll just pop one of those nicotine gums. I really want to COMPLETELY stop.
I’ve been trying to do it without any prescriptions and over the counter stuff- I’m going to try some of these over the counter things. I don’t smoke a lot- I can go 3 days- but then when I have an emotional difficulty- I light up again. I typically smoke 5 or less a day when I get into the roll of smoking daily.
@@deepesh370 I have heard it being used for atheletes foot and toenail fungus, but its efficacy is not well-established. I would say it's generally safe to use (but avoid swallowing it of course), so it may be worth a try if you prefer to avoid the other over-the-counter antifungal topicals for ringworm.
*I went to my doctor here in Australia the other day to get Champix but there has been a worldwide recall and it looks like it might not be back until the end of 2023 so I might go back to him and see about Zyban (bupropion) Ciggerets are so expensive here in Australia around $45-$50 for a pack of 25. it's our government's greed without offering many solutions*

Yoo, it is very helpful , thanks Doc.
Hey what about Suboxone?
i quit smoking in 2 months using e cig
I am obese, I want to quit smoking, and lose weight. My question is I am currently taking 20 mg Prozac, can I take the Bupropion along with Prozac?
They can be prescribed together for most people, but you should talk to your doc :)
I've tried everything to quit. Every method you can name. Nothing has worked. I'm even considering using hypnotherapy to quit.
Me too. Gum makes me crave cigarettes more ironically. I think I'll just cold turkey it.
So you can still smoke for two weeks of using bupropion?
tracyblake i’m late but do not smoke while you’re taking this medication it can lead to blood clots
Hey doc
I have asked a question in your ringworm video !
It would be great pleasure if you can answer that ✌️

@@MajdMD i have tried many antifungal creams and lotions but they are not very effective! So this time want to try something different
@@deepesh370 awesome -- let me know how it goes! Note it can take weeks to resolve.
I'm in love with you doc.
