Are you still vaping ? I am 58 and have been smoking for over 40 years. I smoke about 30 a day and desperately want to quit. I have just failed after another cold turkey attempt. I am thinking about vaping for a bit before trying again to quit entirely. I know vaping isn't as harmful to the lungs.
@@moonlitdesert I am coming to that conclusion myself. I don't ever envisage myself being a non-smoker. I have reduced my smoking to less than 20 /day without any difficulty, and will carry on cutting down until I reach about 10 /day. And in the year since I posted, the world has become so incredibly crazy, the good Lord can take me anytime he wants.
So you basically traded one bad habit for another? Vaping is addictive as well. Makes me think of trading liquor for wine and telling people I stopped drinking 🤣

I successfully quit cigarettes smoking vapes, then I found out they destroyed me almost as bad. Messed my trachea up pretty bad. Made my breathing so much worse
Stress is the main trigger, for many. Don't plan to quit when you have a anticipated stressful event coming up. Put yourself in a strong position to succeed.
@Danny Buck Agreed my life is a stressful shit show everyday cold turkey is the only way otherwise you can never learn how to release stress in another way besides smoking
Biggest mistake I ever made, was to quit smoking. I got fat. I gained 140 pounds. I struggled with diets and exercise but I could not stop the weight from coming on. I went from a slim 135 all the way up to a pot belly 275. That's right, I almost made it to 300. My waist went from a 32 to a 50. I got kicked out of the navy for being obese and I lost my retirement. I developed severe sleep apnea and I'm a borderline diabetic. I had to give 5 trash bags stuffed full of my favorite clothes to charity. I had to give up running, water skiing, riding my bike and scuba diving because I got too fat. Had I known I was going to get fat like this, you best believe, I would have never quit smoking. And to top it off, it was a very tough thing for me to do
I have mental health issues and I'm on day 2 of quiting still smoking weed pure as it's not as harmful as tobbaco and it helps me with my mental health were tobbaco dose not it makes me depressed
Might not be a great with the weed in the long run especially with preexisting mental health issues. It's linked to psychosis things like that. People who like weed like to downplay these things. Best of luck
Nice talk.. i,ve made some experiences ,that i want to share.at least iwas quitting nicotine ,...after 30+years. I,ve quit drinking,joints..,and now finally smoking at all. That habit was such a big part of my personality,or ...what i thougt,it would be... I did all the withdraws alone,.,booze was unbelievable hard ,... Marihuana just three days..., nicotine seemed impossible to quit, whithout the previous fights with those other Habits. Some say,you just have to wait three days, look at the walls, having moodswings,...but for me it took four weeks of aktive waiting, the days to end.... Its worth it... Cheers now i tap my shoulder from time to time
God can deliver too and more importantly. I tried to listen to this. The stigma is huge and starts with the educated offendable 300 dollar an hour humble servant.
I just want to point out that nicotine replacement therapy is not quitting, no matter what form you take it in. If you’re still using nicotine you’re an addict, quit cold turkey and endure a few days of discomfort and then enjoy the rest of your life knowing you beat nicotine. You can do this
I've been at this now going on 55 years. I had stopped completely for about 6 months, but temptation is always looming in the background. I have been a smoker now for close to 55 years and it's not getting any easier. The problem is old movies and everyone smoking in the movies. I'm down to about 2 cigarettes a day, but the movies are always telling me one more won't kill me. I have come to the conclusion that I AM going to die and no amount of not smoking is going to change that. I'd kind of like to be able to dictate the time I'm going to die, but that smacks of the notion of suicide. I've been the caregiver of three different elderly non-smokers who all died and lived pretty miserable lives beyond 65.. I'm thinking that if I make it to 70 or so I'll have done pretty darn good.
Wow! It's got a pretty good hold on you. Do you have children and grandchildren? I quit a measly 10 days ago I've tried quitting about 5 times before this is my 6th attempt and I'm thinking it will be my last. Dying isn't the issue, the suffering before the death is the problem.
Yeah that’s one of the most common lies we tell ourselves (we want to smoke) from our addiction devil. lol Hoping this video motivates me more! Lie 1- “I want/need a cigarette” Lie 2- “1 more won’t hurt” Lie 3- “nicotine helps me calm down” Lie 4- “Quitting smoking is hard” Lie 5- “I can’t quit smoking” Lie 6- “I enjoy smoking” 😅 learned how much we lie to ourselves when I read Allen Carrs book- I quit for 6 weeks after reading his book. My husband smokes too and he hadn’t quit, I like to blame him for my relapse 😂 but I know it ain’t his fault 😅
@@emilysloan492 I have my 0.1mg liquid. A drop in the coffee is so satisfying. I wake up in the morning with the bottle clenched in my hand and have a drop after breakfast.😜 I bought the Alan Carr book but it didnt work for me. my brother read it but he became even more of an idiot. I decided i didnt want to stop like that wishing for a smoke and trying to brainwash myself it was not true. Taking it out on other people. I did watch some hypnosis videos but I think this liquid is really helping even tho it is mostly water or maybe coz it is mostly water. i don't know it practically still gives dry mouth and stuff but with some mint juice not so much. i think the 0.1 is definitely better than 0.2. Hard to say coz it could still be from vaping before. I might drop to 0.05 in a while but in theory i am already having very little nic. muscles and nerves ached quite bad and my head feels weird. no wonder it is difficult.

That’s how I feel. I smoke myself, and I still wish they would ban these damn things. But that wouldn’t stop it from circulating no more than illegal drugs have. It would just make them more “precious” and expensive. Some underground entity would produce them.

Every heard about prohibition? Something tells me that creating a back market for cigarettes is a worse idea... Which is exactly what would happen when you "outlaw" a world full of people entrenched in years of nicotine addiction from getting their drug.
I feel like i was hooked on like the 3rd cigarette. Sort of blame my mom for smoking while pregnant, i fully believe she gave birth to basically an ex smoker that was already primed for the addiction. Not to throw her under the bus just fyi if your a pregnant woman you may be damning your child to it. Finally ready to quit after 20+years and all the bastard taxes they put on it, nothing has been taxed like it, and its fkd because it truly is the hardest to quit and the government can just rake in money from addicts and the general public actually agrees with that. They dont tax the tobacco manufacturers Just the users.
Im only half way through, but so far hes leaving out a couple legitimate pleasures derived from smoking, not just the nicotine or associations. Look, its not all 100 percent a complete trick, as if theres no actual pleasure, kr any pleasure is just a lie. No, in the moments of smoking, the enjoyment and experience of a cigarette, theres the feeling of the smoke hitting the throat/lings, the swirl of the smoke, the rich taste of the tobacco (if its a well made, quality cigarette), flicking the ashes, etc. These are real things and real enjoyments. Im not in denial that nicotine is what keeps the whole train moving, but non smokers, understand that, at least in my experience, smokers mostly are not having a cigarette and just choking it down in disgust just to get our nicotine. The experience of smoking tobacco, in this case cigarettes, carries with it a multitude of pleasures aside from the nicotine. I would argue the physical sensations and actions of smoking are just as addictive as the nicotine. Its a double whammy. Worth it? Probably not, but even with the addictive factor, there is still the libertarian side of me that wins out. Even a leathal peoduct like cigarettes should remain legal. Lots of people smoke and want/need their cigarettes. If someone is reading this that find cigarettes reprehensible and wants them banned, and maybe even decides to be a karen and say that even me smoking a cigarette outdoors should be banned, just because the smoke may slightly blow in the path of someone walking who could very easily choose to step out of the way for a second or so... Please know that, as far as myself, if im still smoking, its because of the nicotine Plus the equally great experience of the tobacco plant itself. I can only speak for myself, but trust me, most of us arent choking em down just to get a drug. First one of the day with coffee is so delicious, it makes me wish i could take a bite right out of the damn cancer stick.

Why would you not trust your creator and wash your body out with herbs and foods which have no negative side effects on the body? I don’t think that’s true. I hated it the first time. Hated it for about a whole month actually. I smoked them after a joint to enhance my high. Gave me a good “head rush”. Didn’t know I would be buying packs less than a year later.
This isnt true - I was puking on my first cigarette, I felt dizzy and hot - but i continued and became a heavy smoker 🤷🏻♂️
@@kurluk04 Everyone else's experience can't be true if it doesn't match your own?
I too loved it right away.
Even though it gave me a queasy feeling, the other feelings that happened at the same time won over.
It's a horrible habit no doubt.
Not true! I hated it, actually threw up and still was a lifelong smoker
@@melmurphy2751😮
To the public I smoked for 65 years I give up smoking through using vaping equipment I enjoy the flavours and I think that anyone that smokes it wishes to give it up should take up vaping it help me I Quit when I turn 68 and now I've stopped for 4 months thank you
Are you still vaping ? I am 58 and have been smoking for over 40 years. I smoke about 30 a day and desperately want to quit. I have just failed after another cold turkey attempt. I am thinking about vaping for a bit before trying again to quit entirely. I know vaping isn't as harmful to the lungs.
@@moonlitdesert I am coming to that conclusion myself. I don't ever envisage myself being a non-smoker. I have reduced my smoking to less than 20 /day without any difficulty, and will carry on cutting down until I reach about 10 /day. I am pretty sure I will reach that goal without any great sense of loss. And I will enjoy my smoking far more without that sense of deprivation people feel when they quit totally. And in the year since I posted, the world has become so incredibly crazy, the good Lord can take me anytime he wants.
So you basically traded one bad habit for another? Vaping is addictive as well. Makes me think of trading liquor for wine and telling people I stopped drinking 🤣
@@peterc9153 With your mind set, you can count on never being a non smoker..If you can cut to 10 a day can you not cut down to none a day? Both of the comments I've read sound hilarious when I read them. If you read it a few times you might get a good laugh too, or maybe a good cry when it really sets in what you're actually saying..
Stress is our constant companion there's no perfect day to quit. Just do it and be prepared.
Thanks professor!! It’s really helpful to quiet smoking
And to top it off, it was a very tough thing for me to do
Iam quiting I don’t want to die sooner that was motivational
This interviewer is really good
Thank you 🙏 I'm quitting 😊🎉
I'm done today
I have mental health issues and I'm on day 2 of quiting still smoking weed pure as it's not as harmful as tobbaco and it helps me with my mental health were tobbaco dose not it makes me depressed
Might not be a great with the weed in the long run especially with preexisting mental health issues. It's linked to psychosis things like that. People who like weed like to downplay these things. Best of luck
True that brother
Hope you still doing well brah
They're such different things though.
@@clkp4520 I second this word of advice.

This is neat. Thanks.
Nice talk.. i,ve made some experiences ,that i want to share.at least iwas quitting nicotine ,...after 30+years. Cheers now i tap my shoulder from time to time
Thank u. I quit today
The mindfulness book "30 Days to Quit Smoking" by Harper Daniels is good.
I may have to admit to my mental illness.. whatever it maybe & quit smoking.🙏
Thankyou so much
I failed more times than I can remember, I'm free now but we're never completely free from addiction, we're on probation for the rest of our lives.
I am on day 3 of going Cold Turkey. I tried many times before, but never ‘Cold Turkey’
How's the quit going?
I've been smoking 49 years now how can I stop
Great interview!!!!
Day 1 , I am a non smoker
How's your quit going?
@@Nordia16cool picture 😁
God can deliver too and more importantly.
I tried to listen to this.
The stigma is huge and starts with the educated offendable 300 dollar an hour humble servant.
My brother is like that. He can smoke . Then goes months without smoking. He may smoke a few . Most of the time he is smoke free.
I just want to point out that nicotine replacement therapy is not quitting, no matter what form you take it in. If you’re still using nicotine you’re an addict, quit cold turkey and endure a few days of discomfort and then enjoy the rest of your life knowing you beat nicotine. You can do this
Why don't they get rid of smokes all together in shops
Because the sky is blue
Lie 1- “I want/need a cigarette”
Lie 2- “1 more won’t hurt”
Lie 3- “nicotine helps me calm down”
Lie 4- “Quitting smoking is hard”
Lie 5- “I can’t quit smoking”
Lie 6- “I enjoy smoking”
😅 learned how much we lie to ourselves when I read Allen Carrs book- I quit for 6 weeks after reading his book. My husband smokes too and he hadn’t quit, I like to blame him for my relapse 😂 but I know it ain’t his fault 😅
You're thinking like I think... But we've got to be wrong. We've got to quit. In Jesus'name, please help us. Amen
This video is making me want to smoke..
@Nicholas Bennett 😆 I'm glad Im on the other side of the screen, so I can smoke my brains out. kidding.

Hard not to troll you guys but I’m shutting up
So what was the point of even posting this comment then? Did it kind of relieve that want to troll someone? By saying this you just trolled because you in a more passive way just trolled anyone that’s commented and has come back and see this comment. See what I mean?
I quit for 60 days then i have insomnia and depression very bad so now im on nicotine patch for my brain
Save this 9:15
I’m quitting toDAY!
Outlaw the damn thing stop making them problem solved
That’s how I feel. I smoke myself, and I still wish they would ban these damn things. But that wouldn’t stop it from circulating no more than illegal drugs have. It would just make them more “precious” and expensive. Some underground entity would produce them.
I agree. Cigarettes and tobacco should be illegal.
@@lyvinlyphe9644 it will never happen to many people getting rich ,they just care about profits only ,I'm giving it another go trying to quit it's hard as hell
Just take an anti depression tablet stuff the cigs. Dopamine addiction. That's the problem.
I was standing outside smoking while it was -12 degrees and i realized im retarded and need to stop thats while i was halfway through this video

Varenicline is substantially excreted by the kidney, and the risk of toxic reactions to this drug may be greater in patients with impaired renal function.
(This means chantix will harm the kidneys, however if you have renal rfailure it will hurt them more)
the risk of cardiovascular events associated with the use of varenicline is judged to be minimal and clinically insignificant (insignificant to who?)
(Does this mean I should gambel with my life because it says minimal?)
Contact your healthcare professional if you experience new or worsening symptoms of cardiovascular disease while taking Chantix, for example: Shortness of breath or trouble breathing. New or worsening chest pain. New or worse pain in legs when walking.
🤔🤨 Why would anyome want to take something proven to damage vital origins? Why would trust someone who practices everyday because they don't know what they are doing but think they do?
Why would you not trust your creator and wash your body out with herbs and foods which have no negative side effects on the body?
Today is 7/6/24
My husband was in the hospital about a month ago due to an infection and gave the hospital permission to damage all his vital origins with 2 antibiotics because the dr said it could happen doesn’t mean it will.🤔🤨
Drugs damaged my husband origins, his origing were made worse with drugs said to help.
His kidneys were at 30% when intering the hospital, the antibiotics took them to 11%. We left the hospital now I am helping him 100% natural with food and herbs.
The entire medical system was set up to depopulate the world.
😡🤬 It is definitely working.
