On November 8 I was at the 55/56/57 station and there were 3 trains and the inbound Metra blowed his horn for fun

Why did the crossing equipment activate when the train did not even move yet

I honestly am not sure how that works. There's radio controlled switches on railroads, I wonder if the crossing at 93rd has radio controlled signals.
