I never realized the rift was the same between all the chords. I don't even play the guitar (I sometimes play I'm Yours on the piano while singing) but this was somehow satisfying and helpful? Thank you!

It's not actually the same... each chord has its own little "riff" if you listen to the song. Especially the last transition back to G

You know there isn't a right way round? Also this helps it keeps its tuning with a capo on 🤷♂️
Are you playing Em with the 1st and 2nd held down on the 3rd fret? I can't seem to get that slide to ring out without having that held down.
Yeah I'm holding it it but when I slide I'm lifting my fingers up from the chord - if you hit the lowest string it will help add the bass to the slide without having to hold down the chord as you do it ... hope that helps

I was sliding my G chord like that way before this song came out on another song I was playing but it wasn’t as good sounding as this song is though I have to admit

How do I strum the rift? So down strum then shift to 9th fret, do I strum again when I slide back down to 7th fret?
Yeah it’s just strummed the whole time, the movement of the slides will make the riff sound like it does on the track with the strums 👍
