Totally! Lately I've been using E instead of Em when I am just improvising around (: Been planning on making a followup video to showcase that and maybe some additional stuff i am researching about this particular STALKER style (:
Ahhh dude thank you, just the video I was looking for, pretty niche so I was lucky to find it. I wanted something to play with around the thanksgiving campfire. Very nice guitar as well, I’ve been wanting a classical style for a while, but my junky Yamaha is more STALKER appropriate lol
When I was first getting into guitar, one of my first songs and one of my biggest motivations to play was learning the STALKER song “He was a good Stalker”. To this day I cannot yet play it all the way through, however I like to think that this song in particular helped me build callus fast since it uses those bottom strings so much. It also helped me stretch my fingers and make me quicker at chord changes. So I would absolutely agree that these chords would be great for beginners to learn with
honestly, i love just switching through the chords on a loop for the benefit of building calluses and getting lost in that drone/rhythm - so i resonate with you! thank you very much for the comment
Hey man thanks a lot i just started learning guitar and Stalker and the metro series are one of my favourite games, really man thanks a lot! Also a unrelated question but is it a lamp thats giving off the yellow color to the video?
Onionknight! I love the name. I appreciate the thanks! My pleasure completely. To answer your question, yes! I was shooting with my warm lighting turned on and in retrospect I would have recorded with my cooler lights but... oh well lol Metro and Stalker are the GOAT btw. Rock on! (:
@@Vanderthal haha it really is a cool name. The warmer tone really looks good on the video, also your voice is very calm and soothing so it goes with the vibe. Yup!, The Gothic series (it's close to my heart) , Metro, Stalker, Stronghold and the first 2 Call of duty are my all time favourites.
Interesting. Same chords (and progression) are used in 'Waiting Around to Die' by Townes van Zandt, which is one of the most beautiful fingerstyle songs every written.
A neat little lesson that got the juices flowing on a night I just wasn't feeling it. I've written like four songs just noodling with this stuff thank you
You have no idea how much I love the stalker vibe so when I saw this in my rec, I had to watch it. And yes I did immediately did grab my guitar. Abolutely no regrets.
Thx, I been playing for 5 years now and I did know how to play the metro last light theme, it was my first song I learned. And I have to say that I play a similar chordes when I'm vibing with a Spanish guitar. I appreciate this video.
Did not realize how much I needed video love the Metro series need to play stalker lol. I would throw in a f chord if wanted play round with or would make a good chord to end with
Thank you for the tips! I'm a beginner and this was exactly what I was looking for. Do you have any other tips for adding other variation to these three chords? I'd love to add an occasional 4th chord for flavor or maybe introducing some other little riffs. Thank you!
@@emtymilkbag7611 My pleasure! Yeah I gotchu (: When you switch between chords, you can hammer the whole chord on at once or at least the string you'll be playing for when you switch chords. You could also use Em sometimes instead of of E and their difference is simply whether or not you're fretting that 1st fret on the G string (: Also
Approved by Campfire Stalker. Most of the OST songs are in the key of A minor. You can also switch E minor to E major for variation.
