The fact that he evens brings his employees to his house for dinner with his family says a lot about him not to mention how much he cares for his mother and trusting Dongeun with his credit card and even grilling the meat for his employees when once again he’s the boss
They shouldn’t have called him cheapskate and criticise him when he has such a good personality always taking care of others before himself
Especially since in Korean culture, it's usually the youngest that grills the meat and does the preparation.

i like her personality, i think as long as there's food she'll be happy. My wife only knows how to cook rice, fry things, instant noodles and boil eggs so I do the cooking in the house. She's a very picky eater, I have to think hard what to cook everyday. For me, thinking of what to cook is harder than the act of cooking.
With Dongeun, its easy to tell what food she likes and I think she wouldn't mind eating the same kind of food again a few days later.

She's a director at the gym. She's an esteemed pilates instructor and bodybuilder. She has the resources to feed herself. I'm sure she could feed herself if yang stopped buying her any food. So I don't see why her partner would have to worry about their own wallet.

Well maybe you see that her spendings on food is too much but I’m pretty sure she could afford it. It’s just the same as spending money on shopping, alcohol, parties etc. Just swap the food in and I think it’s a reasonable budget.

I mostly skipped all the parts that have Boss Yang talking with the hosts same with when Ceo Kim talking with the hosts. They kept calling him cheapskate and kept saying that Ceo Kim were meddling with her staffs too much and she's going to far.

I started watching from Seojun and Seoeon and the Triplets of Return of Superman first, then I watched we got married, WillBen, Naeun and gunhoo, sungjae, sian.....then I'm here.
I've been binge-watching coach Yang on this show the past days and I have a lot of respect for him. He is not the smoothest talker but he shows a lot of kindness through his actions. I know some people are not happy with how he is a penny pincher but none of us will ever know how much each penny means to him and how hard he worked and saved to get here. He still cares for his employees so much, even when he takes them to normal restaurants and they order loads - he still tries to stay quiet and eat less. And remember the time he paid for his employees' rent??
I think he's an amazing boss who thinks long-term while trying to provide the best for his employees at the same time. I wish this gym family nothing but success and happiness!!

Yes, you don't know. She might have a giving heart if they were to visit her home. And like most asian cultures, the eldest usually is more giving towards those younger. He is the boss, and the reason why he pays for food is because they enter a fitness competition under his gym name. They are also his employee and it seems he wants to take care of them too. I don't know how much he pays them, but he seems very giving too. Idk, it is usually the higharch thing...you all make something small into something big. This is a entertainment show, it's for fun. You don't think the variety show don't give them a budget for the storyline?! Then the PD and staff edits the show for the best possible theme for laughs.
Yes I don’t know if she has a giving heart and it’s not just me that make something small into something big but rather the variety show aims to do that in order to receive these kinds of various reactions. As a viewer, everyone can voice out their different opinions. If I’m the one paying for food all the time, i would have been calculated the cost of feeding the whole employees.
A variety show is made for good laugh and entertaining but those who featured should still carry respect and conscience because their actions are seen by viewers.

Some people are criticizing Dongeun for spending Boss Yang's money on too much expensive meat, but they're forgetting a few things: (1) he didn't specify what meat to buy and she didn't look in the pot so she doesn't know he just wanted some cheap meat for bulgogi, and (2) they're visiting Mrs. Yang for the holidays. It's common for Koreans to buy the nice Korean beef when celebrating special occasions.
This episode showed a different side of Director Yang, the lesson that there is always a story/reason to a person.
