Thank you for your great tutorials! I've having an issues with adding PuzzleMattes as a matte, the color grade is not updating the changes in the corrector node that have a matte attached to them. I can see the changes in the clips preview (clips timeline), but not in the final image viewer windows. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Is it possible that the cryptomatte node needs the exr to be in 32bit? When i plug my 16 bit exr in there the cryptomatte node turns red as soon as i drag it in the viewer. the log says something like this: [Cryptomatte][Cryptomatte1][WARNING] input image is not 32bit RGBA EXR [Cryptomatte][Cryptomatte1][ERROR] failed to read layer/index/channel information for layer: 'CryptoObject' I guess I answered my own question there, huh? :D
I'm not a Davinci user myself, sometimes I'm leaning towards learning an node based compositor, but what are the lets say extreme benefits you get from working with for example Fusion vs AE for similar work as the tutorial?
Much more robust tools in Fusion and especially Nuke compared to AE. The ability to use World Position Pass is huge. No such workflow for that in AE as far as I know. Plus the color grading tools in AE don't even come close to what Resolve offers.
Thank you for this video. It answers various questions that I had about optimizing work with mattes in Davinci.
Nice! Glad it helped!
Great video, thank you! I've been looking for how to use cryptos in the colour sector for ages and this is the first explanation I've found!
Glad it helped!
Amazing, literally just needed to figure this out and you've published a vid 17 hours ago😀

Thanks, could this be a video idea to compare useful features of other compositora (conpared to AE)!? ;)
And what if I want to use the puzzle matte in fusion tab?
Yeah, super easy there, just set your channels from the puzzle matte node to all of the red green or blue to get the matte you want
Where the hell were you? You know we can not continue without our leader so please upload more video.
