Join me on an unforgettable journey through Jordan, not as a tourist, but as a guest deeply immersed in its rich culture and warm hospitality. In this episode, we go beyond the usual tourist spots and dive into the heart of Jordanian culture. My friend Rami introduces me to a side of Jordan that many travellers rarely see. We'll start our adventure by visiting a local jewellery shop owned by Rami's uncle, where the intricate designs and craftsmanship tell stories of tradition and artistry.
Our journey doesn't stop there. I'm invited into Rami's home, where I have the privilege of chatting with his family. It's a genuine experience that gives me insights into the everyday life of Jordanians, their customs, and the incredible warmth with which they treat guests.
Next, we wander through the vibrant streets of the city, soaking in the sights, sounds, and smells that make Jordan unique. Our day is filled with discoveries, including a stop at a cosy restaurant where we indulge in local delicacies. But the culinary exploration doesn't end there; we also try bamboo milk and delicious pastries, adding a sweet note to our adventure.
This travel vlog is more than just a recount of a day well spent; it's a heartfelt thank you to Rami and his family for their unparalleled hospitality. My journey through Jordan has shown me the true spirit of this beautiful country. Every "welcome" I received (and they were many) was a reminder of the kindness and openness of the Jordanian people.

Haha this was brilliant Mihaela! So wonderful to see you being so gloriously vivacious in the company of a warm welcoming family - usually we just see you as a solo operative! It was lovely to enjoy being part of the family with you too...we have virtually no family left now and seeing all these lovely people - with 35 kids! - brought back the warmth, generosity and love a large family group does best. this bamboo juice sure ooks good.....bamboo is an amazing plant and incredibly renewable! If they can make plant based milk out of it like soy and almond and oat we think they should market this more because dairy is so unhealthy in comparison....thanks for sharing more of your wonderful trip to Jordan....we would love to try all of the food! To travel to this country and few neighbours you definitely need someone with you to show you around. For solo travel and woman I think is to dangerous. Food definitely is different and is worth it to try. 🌞
