You are creating a valuable resource and I'm sure I speak for all those who watch these videos but don't comment when I say "thank you for your hard work".
I really learnt a large amount about lights from this tutorial, much more than from lots of other similar tutorials in the past. However it did speed up a little too much for me towards the end. It’s not always easy for the viewer to see which controls you are manipulatiing. A superimposed blow up of the control panel could reall help. Please keep up your great work. It’s much appreciated.
Thanks for the tip. Yeah things did get a little advanced towards the end. Have to think about it maybe there's an efficient way to include some zooms in my tutorial edits without taking much more time in the edit....
Options here are limited since Fusion does not have ray tracing renderer as of now. Scenes with advanced effects I would typically render from a full 3D application. Things could change if we get other Render engines via USD in the future... let's see.
you are a big legend. Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials. I've been wanting to create 3D infographics type video and it is very hard to find tutorials about working on a 3D environment for Fusion! Thanks again!
Thank you. Just discovered your channel and Wow. That is a lot a great information and delivered in aa very comprehensive way. Looking forward to learning more from your videos.
Thank you so much, another great tutorial. If you're looking for some tutorial suggestions, may I suggest camera projection/painting out elements tutorials? All the best.
@@VFXstudy Thanks. This is a pretty cool method: th-cam.com/video/W2k9S_xkoL4/w-d-xo.html that I tried to replicate. It works but at the beginning I'm getting some black on the image plane and can't figure out why. If you give it a try and get the save pb please let me know. Thanks
Your content is awesome, I've learned so much. This is specialized content since the Fusion userbase is still in the process of growing so I hope you're not discouraged by low viewcounts compared to e.g. photoshop tutorial channels. Those of us who follow your channel get enormous value from it!
Thanks and glad to hear that. Yes I also try to think more about the value and learning effect when creating the tutorials rather than the viewer count. 🙂
Hmm you mean like the spheres reflecting the environment? You can attach an image, ideally in spherical coordinates like an hdri map or so... or use camera projection to project onto it...
@@VFXstudy Something like the text animation past a object and the object reflection moves in the reflection off the text instead of a simple light reflection. I saw the video on using camera as a projector on a square and sphere. Say the metal bowl has metallic texture. The spoon is on table. Can fusion cast spoon reflection on to the bowl As I animate the spoon? I would love to see a tutorial on this. Then I can update my intro to my videos with real reflections on my text.
Not sure what you mean by Realtime in this case. But if you do greenscreen you can so.etimes Film amd extract shadows from set, other times you have to manually create or manipulate masks to fake shadows. If you have recreated 3d geometry in post, sometimes you can project shadows into a 3d scene. Depends on the scenario, but creating or faking missing shadows is a typical compositing task that can vary in complexity
Excellent tutorial. The Z-depth and the light-spill make it really look good. I can see a cinematic planet scene in my inner eyes. I´m just afraid it will take a while to know how to use all the nodes instead of layers (After Effects). But the community got a very very helpful teacher. Thank you. (Is there a German channel, too?)
Brother, First I would like to say thanks for your hard work. But beginners need more help, it is difficult to follow too many information at a time. . Can I request you to make short videos with precise information...thanks
This is not a beginner tutorial. Check out my free Beginner course on my website. That starts from scratch and is good for beginners in Fusion. vfxstudy.com

Thanks lot for the kind words. Glad you are finding the tutorials useful and are getting something out of them.
I know it is kinda off topic but do anyone know a good website to watch new tv shows online?
@Rayan Braydon lately I have been using flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Cristiano Brayden yea, have been watching on FlixZone for since april myself :D
@Cristiano Brayden thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it !
THANK YOU for making these videos. Never stop, you're by far the best channel to learn vfx compositing in fusion. I hope your channel explodes soon:D
yes
Thank you, will take cover when it blows up 😋
+1
Thank you for helping to make lighting a little easier to understand.
Thank you. You are the best at Fusion
Thank you for sharing your time and talents!!!
Thank you for this tut finally I can learn about lighting in davinci resolve. This is so valuable for me as a beginner. Thank you
Well, I would say if you are watching this tutorial, you are probably past the "beginner" stage :-)
@@VFXstudy i have been trying to create a simple 3D lately with lighting thanks

good, but is there any way to do this in actual 3d in fusion? with objects actually occluding light rays?

Impressive tutorial. Congratulations from Spain, keep the good work and let´s make Fusion better reknown.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks for your tutorials. I've learned a lot from you, and I like the way you deliver your content.
very illuminating ; ) your fusion tutorials the best out there, deeply appreciate the time and effort you invest in making them!
I love your tutorials
Fantastic stuff!
Hi Bernd, another excellent video. You are one of the best innFusion tutorial. Keep it going.
Thanks 🙂

Is there a way to add an image and run it across sphere and use mirror texture with light to reflect what's in the image off the balls?

Thanks... just a matter of a little practice and you'll get comfortable with the nodes. No, so far I haven't thought of a German channel...

Can you do this with just a Jpeg or Png file instead of 3D Text?
Yes you can I watched your clip th-cam.com/video/S3QJJalUjq0/w-d-xo.html clip on 2D to 3D so answered my own question. Thanks for the editorials.
