    my feedback is that this is a lovely compressor, worth more than the sticker price. the mix knob does add some unexpected and undesired volume when i blend in some dry signal with it. small price to pay for an otherwise super versatile and beautiful sounding compressor. i love it on vocals, drums and mixbus especially. thank you!

    Big Shout out to IGS for a compressor that has completely blown me away I've only had my 3U mastering edition a few days and I'm using the GE 5670 red 5 star tubes and I'm amazed at the 3D and warmth Mojo air WOW! what a compressor and it wasn't hard to change and calibrate tube at all thanks IGS

      Hey Joral, quick question! I just received my IGS Tubecore 3U yesterday and wanted to test my spare matched quad of NOS 6N1P-ev valves. Calibrating the VU meters to '0' was easy via the rear trims but tone testing the unit showed a very small mismatch (0.2db) on the right side despite the VU's being lined up perfect.. Did you adjust any of the other pots on the back (e.g. balance left and right?)? There's nothing mentioned about those trim pots in the manual, but the fact they are 'easy to access' at back make me wonder whether I should be adjusting them as well with a full new set of new tubes in! Cheers in advance man!

      @@raesco Hi I can't say to much about the toobes you chose for I opted for the GE 5670 5 star red's and they calibrated nicely it seems like I saw something about what your pointing out back when I was looking for a new compressor at gearslutz and one was talking about I think the same thing your sayin however on a end note I didn't adjust any other pots except the ones I changed the toobes from sorry I couldn't be more help

      @@joralsoul698 No worries man, appreciate that! In the end, Igor himself advised to try a different set of tubes (not that my set was 'wildly' out, but their outputs weren't balancing well!) and my spare set seemed to behave much better! Cheers.

    Does removing the warranty sticker and opening the device voids the warranty?
    Asking cause I'm interested in getting a Tubecore.
    Thanks!

    I was a bit confused on the 1k tone part, so if sending a 1k tone out of my DAW (Pro Tools) and into the Tubecore, what DAW level will the 1k tone be set to? I'm guessing -18dbfs since that is what my interface is calibrated to I believe. Thanks!

    Someone pls explain why he change the tubes in the right sockets and puts the new ones in left sockets?? I have one and wanna swap as they start to make a ”bell sound” when ”tapping lightly” on front panel.
    Thanks and all the best to all 🙏🏻👍🏻💎

    is it possible to use 6386 tubes in the tubecore 500?

    • @igorsobczyk
      @igorsobczyk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. TC500 uses pentodes.

      @@igorsobczyk But you prefer the 3U with the stock tubes anyway, right? It sounds amazing on techno. Would the 3U sound better on vocals than the 500 series or just different?
