    First off BOG THANK U for gainmatching as most utubers do NOT care to do this and the video reviews become useless so Great Job.
    Second we use 2 of the Blue stripes everyday in our studio and LOVE THEM! Soo nice sound and Great video!

    Bro i found this the most inaudible natural compression sound ever, the color is so pleasant. After seeing this video i started thinking this is the best 1176 clone out there! And ive heard them all!

    A little 6-slot lunchbox with two Blue Stripe 576 and two One LA 500 would be a very nice all-purpose portable stereo compressor box offering the classic 1176 > LA2A chain for two channels

    Just got one and loving it. Next compressor will most likely be the ONE LA. Three 500-series spaces in stead of 4U racks.

      @@preciseaudioblog hi...I actually love the unit, sounds great and doesn't take much to get a good dialed in sound...being that the attack is very fast, you can squash the hell out of something...funny that you asked, because I just ordered a second unit with a pair of focal Shape Twin 2.5-Way monitors about 7 hrs ago. I use the Compressor everyday.

    I wonder how it would stand versus the 1176

    • @nimrodmotion
      @nimrodmotion  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Me too. :) I would love to compare it to an original Urei 1176, but don't have one. But I can tell that I don't have any other comp that could beat the IGS on vocals. It's just crazy good. I can go crazy with it to have 10-15 db gain reduction, and still sounds great. I couldn't do that with plugins

      @@nimrodmotion I believe you. All the tests I've seen (drums, acoustic guutars, bass and vocals) are awesome. Do you process electric guitars with it as well? Cheeers!

    • @nimrodmotion
      @nimrodmotion  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@preciseaudioblog For e guitars I rather use an LA2A or LA3A comp, cause their slow attack just lets the pick sound go through and then even out the performance. But for all other instruments: drums, bass, vocals, the IGS is a great option

    I also got one and I have a question, does your device indicate noise at each step of the output potentiometer when it is not processing a signal and does a slight high-frequency noise sound when activated

    Hi! Thanks for this video. So the attack on the 1176 is faster more you turn to the right to 7, but the 576 fastest attack is on the left set to 1? Just making sure I understand. I can't find anything on the website. Thanks!

      Btw great mix and thanks for the example. Subscribed!

    • @nimrodmotion
      @nimrodmotion  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have the Alter 500, so I cannot make a comparison about the sound, but basically one big difference is that the 576 has pots for attack and release. The Alter 500 was modelled after the Urei 1176 black face plate, while the 576 after the Urei 1176 blue face plate (it has a bit more saturated sound)

      @@nimrodmotion Awesome. I mix alot of hip hop & r&b vocals. Would you recommend the 576 for this genre?

    • @nimrodmotion
      @nimrodmotion  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eddierosa98 definitely. The 576 works for any type of vocals. For aggressive "in your face" vocals use slow attack, fast release

    Do you ever compressor on the way in? Have you used the 576 while tracking? If so, how much compression do you do?

    • @nimrodmotion
      @nimrodmotion  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HI, I always compress on the way in, usually through an LA2A 2-3db gain reduction, and then at the mixing the 576 stays on the main vocal. Sometimes "all buttons in" if it's a rock tune

    • @JesusMartinez-me1je

      @@nimrodmotion awesome! I'm in between getting this blue IGS or the one LA from IGS. What would you say? I love how your vocal sound through the blue. I've heard the one LA on other videos but it just doesn't sound as good. But maybe its you who is making the blue sound that good.

    • @nimrodmotion
      @nimrodmotion  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JesusMartinez-me1je you can go for both you won't regret any of them, just be aware that the One LA needs a lot of power, so your rack should be a solid one, not Fredentein. Both of them are fantastic for vocals but in a different style

      @@nimrodmotion I own a vintage king audio lunchbox I hope it has enough juice. What is your advice to when a singer is very dynamic. Would you record him with low gain through out the performance so he doesn't clip. Or would you turn down he gain when he sings in the loud parts?

    • @nimrodmotion
      @nimrodmotion  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JesusMartinez-me1je Normally I would use the same gain setting, but nevertheless if the singer has totally different approach on the chorus compared to the verse (screaming vs soft singing) then I would change the gain and the compression settings according to the way he sings
