- Not super impressed with this led kit from redcat but it works. Seems a little expensive for what you get.

That is the same controller they use for a lot of things. It does have blinkers that’s why it’s wired to the servo. It’s the other plugs on the light controller. If you are not using those plugs you can take out the Y that goes to steering and get some that extra wiring outa there

Look exactly like the $15 kit I get from Banggood to me. Just with a brand name on them. I put a set like that with the same controller box in my WPL shorty.

Nice… next thing I would do is change the shock in red to match the outside and add some MOB Audio speakers and to finish it off some red neon light and you should be set. Tagged me if you do this set up!!!
That’s bad ass it keeps getting better with every video you do! If you keep getting bored with it you should consider doing interior or a bad ass paint job on it!
I like the body style of these lowrider RC's.
Still like the warm LEDs for heads and reverse lights on a old style model. And i think i said before, GCM Chris had a video where he ground the LED tip flat to dull the beam and help spread the light, you should definitely try that technique i think you will appreciate it.

Thats crazy, both redcat trucks I own have tabs that screw in to hold the lights and the light kit the made for the gen 8 has blinkers and everything from what I understand for like $24, what were thinking! Anyway nice video!
For the price, it should of had blinkers even though I don’t like them because they turn on every turn you make (which is not realistic). Didn’t GCM do a video on how to make the LEDs dimmer? Flatten the dome end of the LED? Not 100% positive. Have fun!

Gonna install a light kit on my kyosho fazer, I think the white lights could benefit from a yellow tint
Looks cool AF but, I agree it definitely seems odd that there's zero lenses or clips to hold the LED's in place. And $50 dollars seems way too expensive to me, I could make my own for a lot cheaper that's for sure.
So, when are you going to fab up a nice car hauling trailer for this thing to be towed about on? Might look good behind your shiny red Hilux.

These are some custom ones I ran across on eBay. Jevries.com makes scale wire wheels but he only does limited production runs.
Cant get my reverse light to work already took out the k2 and k4 off and my reverse light only turn on when I turn to the right.. can you help me please what am I doing wrong....
What channel does the second Y connection go I know the first one goes on channel 2??

Over $500 dollars for that! Sorry but to me is not worth it.
That was my thing. I was extremely interested when I saw the first videos of them. Then came the price! I'm heavy into rc, but for what it is and does, it's way, way too much. I even contacted redcat, and asked if they would do a kind of bind and roll, where it came with everything except the trans (I fly helis and planes, so I don't need another transmitter that would only be for this one car). They said no, so I haven't looked at these since. I've purchased a dji drone, (2) 1/6 scale cars( both versions of losi super baja rey) and two days ago, a losi 1/5 scale dbxl 2.0. I said this to say, I don't mind at all spending money on models, but it's got to make sense somewhat. And for what you get(small brushed motor, no lights, somewhat klunky wheels that most replace immediately), I'm straight. If they drop the price to about 300.00(that's all it's worth IMHO), then I'm all in! Even 400.00.. But 600.00, nah.. I'm cool!
