- Doug Berry visits rivers surging with historic snow melt on scenic road tour in the Eastern Sierra region along Highway US 395 and others near Bridgeport, CA. Also a scenic tour and interviews with owner of Sweetwater Outfitters in Bridgeport, California along the manager of the town's general store.

The temps will be in the 90’s over here this weekend on the west side. The lakes are fuller than full! Scary for the communities.

Thank you so much Dana! So glad you could come on my journey; learning how to edit and finding new adventures to share with everyone! I have been watching the reports on the west side, plus witnessed the snow pack which seems mostly still intact. Hopefully the levee holds, but looks like Tulare Lake is back for a few years. The tule elk from there are up at Point Reyes in Marin, perhaps they send them back down there? Really treasure the positive comments; Thanx again Dana!

Love the way you show a variety of subjects, like the wildflowers along the way. That rocky canyon you hiked up in the first video looks like rattlesnake paradise!

Do you think Mono Lake/ June Lake area will melt by around June 8 ish?
I think there will be snow in the mountains, and also spots on the dirt roads in corners in the shade or Northside. The main paved highways are clear, but if you plan on hiking you could encounter snow: bring spiked hiking sticks and if going higher elevation bring snowshoes. I think the fishing will be poor because water levels high and cloudy. Otherwise, should be good time for sightseeing and camping ( bring warm clothes for night). I hope that helps; have a great trip!
