    My wife and I left mormonism. Our whole families are still mormon. So it was hard leaving. But our faith in Christ has dramatically changed. We fully believe in the Jesus of the Bible, God opened our eyes, and hearts through His grace. When you trust God's word, and his word only, then you can truly see His Holiness and why no one could do what he did. He changed our marriage, our family, relationships, and our hearts. Dramatically! Nothing gives you better rest when your reconciled to the God of the Bible. Praise God, Praise the Savior! There is life after mormonism.

      Praise the Lord, very good. The Bible (series of books) makes references to holy writ or records not now present... So if those books came to light, would you accept them as Jesus's word ? Only curious.

      Scripture reference? I'm sola scriptura. I believe the Bible is complete in showing how God reconciled man to Himself. It's the best love story you'll ever read. What difference would another book make when this one shows God's love for us through Jesus Christ? God came down in flesh, the Holy Bible spoke of his coming, he came, taught his disciples, left us His words and his disciples words, and told us how to follow Him. Anything else that's added is not of Him. Look in Revelations if you read the Bible.

    I'm a Truth Seeker & a Born Again Christian.
    I never met a mormon until 10yrs ago. I was shocked to learn how different their beliefs were. The first mormon I talked to here in Utah said to me, that my Holly Bible was a fairytale!!! How horrible!😟
    I dont like the fact that the mormon church uses people for their financial corporate enterprise business gain.
    I hope this cult will dissolve in my lifetime. May God have mercy for them.
    I will not use their terminology of using God's name in vain...so, I will always call them "mormon".

    I was raised a Roman Catholic. In the mid 70’s I took a through and open-minded look at Mormonism. I almost became one. But there was always something inside me that did not accept what I was being taught. Something did not seem “right.” In the 1980’s I joined the Southern Baptist Church. I was raised a Southern Baptist and am shocked to even find that so much of their doctrine had been entrenched in LDS , like minded themes especially with race (what’s the difference between Sourhern Baptist and just “Baptist?” We were told it was because we supported the South and made an agreement whoever won the war would get the title “Baptist “ and this was the split between the Southern Baptist and the First Baptist .” So yeah it was part of the unwritten laws of the church until the late aughts I believe - (I couldn’t get married in the church until 2003 because I had my son out of wedlock and still hold shame for my great transgression”.)

    I am an ex-mormon who came to know Christ as a born again Christian. My family joined the Mormon church, as converts, in 1980, when I was in 6th grade. I had grown up in the Catholic Church, at a private Catholic School up to that point. I truly loved God as a child, prayed often, and felt His presence in my life. When we joined the Mormon church, I simply saw it as worshipping the same God, just in some different ways than I had known for years. Over the next several years I began to see God in a different light, for exactly the reason that you are displaying in this video. God seemed to always be changing the bar. It was already so hard to measure up and then it would change continuously. There was a youth activity at one point that was supposed to start with a carnival and end with a dance. At one point during the carnival the lights flickered and went out. We were suddenly being separated into different groups and told to sit in a certain area, accordingly. It turned out that it was a simulation of the return of Christ and depending on the certain activities (works) available during the carnival that we had completed, we were being sorted into the levels of heaven. We had no forewarning or instruction that we should do these certain things. I ended up being put into the second to last heaven and it crushed my spirit. I began to resent God over the next few years. I also noticed that I just didn't ever feel His presence in my life when I was going through really tough times, even when I was in church Sunday after Sunday, going to the temple, and serving in any way I could. I eventually began to rebel and finally turned my back on it and walked away. During the 80's we we were told that Christian churches were an abomination, to go to any other church was like turning your back on Christ, so I felt I had no other choice but to dive into the world headfirst. There were many difficult years but I felt that I was just a failure who just didn't measure up,or that God was rejecting me for some reason. In 1993, I came to know Christ as my Savior. He pulled the scales from my eyes and the burden of works off my back. I wept like a baby when I realized that God was NOT the god of the Mormon church. My parents are still very active in the Mormon church. I pray for their salvation, and I am so thankful to REALLY know Him. I have a heart for those who see the truth and walk away. I didn't have this kind of support available at that time. I look forward to seeing more of what you are doing. God bless!

      Your comment was posted about a month ago, or so, Kimberly, and I just noticed it. Thanks for sharing from the heart. That was refreshing!! So glad you truly know Jesus Christ personally now, and understand it's about faith and not works. Yes, cults magnify works in place of grace and faith to maintain dominance and fear lest any of their congregants be revealed the truth. However, as someone who has know Jesus for many years Kimberly, I sense deep in my spirit that God is on the move. The genuineness of salvation by grace, through faith alone will shatter this veil of lies that have enslaved so many. Yes, It is coming. Just pray and be patient dear friend. Evil may have its time in the spotlight, but love is waiting in the wings. Be richly blessed.

So, don't send your money to those fake Christians, send it to me, your one-true Christian preacher for Jesus, because I am honest and faithful, unlike those fake cultish Christians, like the Mormons and the JWs. I believe in the unchanging word of God, as written in the Bible. Therefore, you can trust me. Please send me lots of cash. Because this is what my Christian God wants you to do. In 2016 Nelson declared that the implementation of the policy was the "will of the lord". Any member who sustains the leaders and believes the prophet is the only person with authority to speak for god regarding his commandments would accept 'the will of the lord' coming from the lord's anointed as doctrine. Is it possible for a revelation declared to be the will of the lord to not be doctrine?

Gordon B Hinckley publicly stated they don't worship the same Jesus that Christians do. They put a lot of effort into the appearance which was drilled into me as a kid by the church and family members. The appearance of righteousness by self effort is the Mormon way. Trusting in Jesus Christ and His Finished Works alone for salvation and receiving His righteousness and salvation as a FREE GIFT by God's Grace through Faith is God's Way

I'm certain after paying for what I am certain is an endless list of bills the LDS church is providing as best it can . I can tell by your appearance references you are probably convinced that Mormon's don't serve because they actually want to serve so don't know how I can address that.

    • @aimee3221
      @aimee3221 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matt Howard The Mormon religion teaches it's members that the Bible can't be trusted to be accurate or translated correctly, and that many plain and precious truths have been removed from it. Which then leaves the door wide open for men, and Satan, to add to and take away from God's Word and call it a revelation or restoration.
      The Mormon doctrine changes who God the Father is and who Jesus is, and it perverts the Gospel, and redefines the meaning of Salvation and Grace to mean something other than what God's Word actually teaches.
      As far as serving goes, I know that many Mormons serve because they want to, but you can't get away from the fact that this "service" along with the teaching that obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Mormon gospel are necessary for, and inseparable from, ones ability to merit or qualify for salvation. That ultimately makes that service self serving.
      The book of Mormon teaches that Only "after ALL you can do" can you be saved by Grace. That means works earn you Grace in the Mormon religion. That is exactly the opposite of what God's Word teaches. God's Word teaches us that our works have nothing to do with salvation or we would have something to boast of. God's Word teaches that mixing Grace and works cancels each other out. They cannot be mixed for salvation!
      Jesus promised He was going to prepare a place for us and that He would come back to bring us to be with Him *Where He Is* in His Father's house! God's Word does NOT say we are to be forever shunned in some lower Kingdom separate from Heavenly Father and our families, because we didn't do enough or repent enough per the standards of Mormonism. Jesus DID say that whoever comes to Him would in no wise be cast out, and that whosoever *BELIEVES* in Him will be saved. That means Eternal Life in Jesus Christ, with Him in His Father's house!
      So are you claiming that this "service" is for God's Glory when in reality it is taught by Mormonism that it is for the Exaltation and Eternal progression of Man in order to work your way into becoming a God who will be worshipped by other men? God's Word says there is One God and there was none formed before Him, and there will be none formed after Him. It's plain and precious and TRUE! and it makes me sick to my stomach to see people continuing to fall for Satan's lie that we will not die but instead be like God by choosing to decide for ourselves what is good and evil instead of trusting what God has already said, and taking His invitation to come and eat FREELY from the Tree of Life by God's Grace through Faith in the Finished Works of Jesus Christ!

Like the fact that Joseph Smith was a 19th century Warren Jeffs with at least 34 wives some ad young as 14. The fact that he was an adulterer because in Navoo these marriages were against the the law. The fact that he got Fanny pregnant 10 years before his so called revaluation on polygamy. The fact that he married ten women who were all ready married. The fact that that breaks the D&C laws on plural marriage. The fact he lied and denied these marriages until the day he died. The fact the guy used a brown rock in a hat to translate the BoM and the church hid that fact from church members for over 100 years. It’s all very derogatory but its the truth that church leaders have admitted to.

      Funny, the Catholic Church is one of the oldest Christian churches--nearly going all the way back to the time of Christ. But somehow these days, it doesn't represent "true" Christianity. Despite the fact that most other modern Christian churches are Johnny come latelies that have existed for less than a century or two, they now tend to poop poop anything related to the Catholic Church. Why? Because they have to: The reality is, Christianity has an abysmal track record regarding all things that we generally consider decent. But somehow, the larger "Christian" community (these Johnny come latelies) have successfully painted Catholics as non-Christian heretics while at the same time convincing their adherents that their brand of Christianity is the one true brand of Christianity, as is evidenced by the fact that Mormons are stupid. And thus, we have informative and enlightening vlogs like this one--produced by insightful, unbiased religious geniuses like Jessie.

    The bible teaches that God is unchanging. As such, changing "doctrine" is a good indication that ones church is man made.

    • @jayt1077
      @jayt1077 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Solidsilenceful If you want to study this issue in depth, you'll find that their are plenty of resources out there that explain apparent contradictions between the testaments.
      In brief, I'll point out that the old covenant with its legalism was for Gods chosen people, the Jews. Not for the gentiles who are under the new covenant which is the ultimate fulfillment of the old.
      Recall that NT scripture teaches that the whole of the law can be summed up as love your neighbor as yourself and God above all.
      This isnt to say that liturgy and ceremony have no place in Gods church however. We Catholics burn incense, wear vestments, celebrate a sacrifice, have alters, and even say Jewish passover prayers at mass among many other things.

    • @tonyrobbins6338
      @tonyrobbins6338 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A man-made book called the Bible teaches that a mythological god is unchanging; ergo, any other false doctrine that changes is also false. That's pure genius in my opinion!

    • @jayt1077
      @jayt1077 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @John Thompson Mormonism is easily shown to be man made because of it's relatively recent place in time.
      Judaism goes back so far that it's impossible to say with certainty what its exact inspiration was.
      Christianity is full of martyrs from its founder on down who died handing on the faith. To me this seems like the work of sincere believers rather then charlatans who were out to make something up. Wrong maybe, but not deliberately dishonest.

    • @jayt1077
      @jayt1077 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @John Thompson You mistook my meaning. I wasn't saying that religions' credibility is determined by how old they are, I was saying that younger religions like Mormonism and Scientology are easier to debunk then older ones like Christianity. I thought I got that point across without using so many words.
      For instance, their is plenty of evidence that Smith was a charlatan who engaged in money digging, and changed his doctrines. Similarly, L.Ron Hubbard's life story as told by Scientologists is easily proven false by publicly accessible records.
      Christianity on the other hand is much harder to disprove out of hand given its age and the records available. These records suggest very strongly that whoever Jesus was, his followers were convinced to follow him to their deaths in many cases. I'm unaware of any records that portray Jesus as an intentional con man or anything that shows his apostles to have profited from their status as such.
      Smith was finally assassinated in prison by an angry mob comprised in part by disaffected associates after destroying a printing press and making various other dictatorial moves in Nouvoo.
      He was hardly the religious martyr that the church makes him out to be. This in contrast to Jesus, who, Jewish and Roman records show, was killed for upsetting the Jewish and Roman authorities with his teachings.
      To put it plainly, if their were some sort of smoking gun that proved Christianity and Judaism were false and or purely man made we wouldn't be having this discussion now.

    • @jayt1077
      @jayt1077 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @John Thompson Martyrdom doesn't make a thing true either and i'm not saying it does. However, unlike Mormonism their is no evidence that the apostles and early disciples profited from the message they preached. Paul had his head chopped off, Peter was crucified upside down, and John was exiled to name but a few. This continued in the decades and centuries that followed, arguably up to the present day Islamic persecutions that saw a group of Coptic Christians put in cages and set on fire for their faith.
      This stands in stark contrast to Mormonism which saw Joseph smith and his inner circle grow in wealth and power as years went by. Towards his end Smith had such a hold over his followers that he could take nearly any women he wanted. This concept lives on in the FLDS church today where we see powerful "prophets" essentially running entire small towns and the lives of everyone in them.
      The overwhelming consensus is that Jesus was truly a historical person. This fact is so widely accepted that even prominent detractors of the new testament, such as Bart Ehrman, consider the view that Jesus never existed to be a non starter.
      We even have extra biblical accounts from both Jewish and Roman writers such as Josephus and Tacitus who make reference not only to Jesus, but also to his having been called the Christ, and the belief (even among Jewish detractors) that he was some sort of sorcerer.
      While, you'll no doubt object, consider that most history is written after the fact, and that much of what we consider history comes to us only in written form. If your going to discount the existence of Jesus because of this you pretty much have to discount whole swaths of recorded history to.
      I should also point out that Christianity didn't come from a collection of writings. The writings of Paul and friends merely reference the development of the nascent Christian church that already existed up to that point.
      The church gave us the bible, not the other way around, and it stands today as a tangible reminder of the legitimacy of the message it proclaims. If not for Christ, his apotles, and the message they died to pass on the church, and its apostolic priesthood, wouldn't exist.

      Nondenominational Bible Church. But if I were to associate with a denomination, it would be Baptist. I want a church that preaches the Word! Nothing else. The Bible is our authority.

    I'm not LDS and I never was. I just want to hear that the LDS leaders have heart-felt remorse for all of the families that they ripped apart because of their HUGE HATE of LGBT individuals and the many suicides that resulted in their stance on the LGBT Mormons. When these leaders go on youtube to make a video that asks for forgiveness for these HATEFUL AND CRUEL actions, please let me know. I want to watch that video and hear them say that what they did was wrong and they know it hurt many people that never deserved it.
    Ok, now that I got that out of my system, l want to say this. The reason for ALL OF THIS change of heart is because attendance is going way down and the money is not coming in. It's amazing how they change their minds when they see people are leaving in droves.

    Revelation is very different than what most Mormons think. They are conditioned to beleive that just about everything their leaders say is revelation from God. When God reveals something to a messenger or Prophet he does with a specific purpose. God is not trivial, he is not interested in messing up with people's lives like this LDS policy on gays. Look at the scriptures and see how God communicates his will to his servants. Hopefully this whole mess in the LDS church will help their members awake to the reality that these men are not speaking for God.

      @NaDopros I am relating what Mormons believe, they think that their leaders are Prophets, Seers and Revelators, they mention this dozens of times during general conference and other meetings, they even have to vote and sustain them as such, I always believed that the authority and legitimacy of a Prophet lies in his message, prophecy, vision, revelation etc. Not in their titles and adulations.

    You need to understand in 2015 the member where not ready for this new revelation
    now the members have matured enough for God to allow the church to have the correct revelation or the more fuller revelation. So GOD is not changing his mind , just the members can now live up to Gods will.
    Or so goes the mind control.

I mean what do you think is going to happen when said kids here families are between MAN and a WOMAN ?

      Chris Little ehh as a former member of the LDS Church id have to disagree with you; they spend their money on tons of ridiculous stuff. When I was a kid we’d do truck or treats on Halloween in the church parking lot with all the ward members and people would drop serious money to out do each other with candy and food. Not to mention that Utah LDS members typically are very superficial and it’s basically a competition among the women on who can look the nicest at church- in other states it’s not really like that but definitely in the salt lake area.

    So what happens to those people who were excommunicated? Are they invited back? I am not sure what the exact difference between being excommunicated and being declared an apostate? What comes first? Does one follow the other? Could some kind soul educate me? Thanks...

      Thankyou for your answer. So then being an apostate is worse the being excommunicated? I understand you can come back to the church if you are excommunicated and "fix your shortcomins" so to speak. Or does that require the First Presidency too?

    I believe this policy came into action because of what was happening people indeed taking there own lives and the pressure is so great they should have heard it sooner and God don’t change his mind like the Lds church does there struggling am sure in membership because many are leaving and realizing how False it is.

    Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
    28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
    29 But he said, Nay: lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
    30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

      We are commanded to test the spirit when we pray or read. That means when you 'receive an answer to a prayer' you need to test that answer to see if it truly matches the Word of God or if it actually works against it. If you're having opposing answers to prayers in a short time span and you think those answers are from God then you need to check yourself.
      BTW, Abraham and Isaac is totally different. God spoke to him directly . . . not just a sequence of conflicting prayers. When God speaks, there is no mistaking it.

    The following is an email I wrote to a Mormon friend on November 17th, 2015 about the LDS Church's position on this.
    "I read an article in the news about a protest by some Mormons over the church's refusal to baptize children who live in a same sex home. It said they can't be baptized until they are 18, leave the home and renounce the homosexual lifestyle. This does not apply to children already baptized living in a same sex home.
    Here are my thoughts on this. The LDS church is denying salvation to people who through no fault of their own are in a home whose parents are homosexuals. Why not deny Baptism to children whose parents are alcoholics are non-mormon. If you believe people should be baptized when they reach the age of accountability and decide for themselves to be baptized, it is ludicrous to deny them Baptism through no fault of their own. They are not homosexuals, their parents are.
    You don't have to be a prophet and get a revelation to figure this one out, it is a matter of common sense.
    If the LDS church believed the Bible and taught that a person is saved when they are born again or regenerated by the Holy Spirit instead of being baptized into the Mormon church this would be a non issue."
    My Mormon friend called me back in April or May and said they changed the policy. So apparently he remembered our email exchange on this LDS policy.
    Loved the video Jessie. Keep up the good work.

      @noneya bizness You are either an idiot or on crack. Maybe both. Faith or trust is based on evidence. I have faith (trust) that the chair I'm sitting in will support me because I have sat in it numerous times and it has not once failed. Faith that is not based on evidence is wishful thinking, not faith. That is the problem with Mormons, they have no evidence to support their belief system, so they ignore all the evidence contrary to what they believe and rely on their feelings. I may feel this chair will support me but if I don't have the evidence that it will, I may wind up on the floor in a heap. I have faith in God and his word because of the evidence.
      When King David was a youth he slew the giant, Goliath, a man of war. His faith or trust in God was based on the evidence that God had previously delivered him from the bear and the lion.
      1 Samuel 17:37
      David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.
      Only the ignorant and gullible like yourself, think that faith is without evidence.
