I think the more important question is "why are they tempted to cheat or actually decide to cheat to begin with?" If anyone who is engaged, cheats on their significant other, clearly something else is going on in their mind and in their thoughts. Yes, this should not be glorified or approved of, but wouldn't the significant other rather have this happen and find out about it before the big day than after? If that person is cheating, clearly they do not love their future wife/husband enough and a wedding should not be happening.
I liked The Notebook, but you are right. I can't imagine being happy or moving on knowing that my friend or relative got cheated on because "their" significant other was actually missing their "true love/soulmate". It would suck even more if it was me right? Well then, I shudder at the thought of a teenage me thinking that the "its not cheating coz its ma soul mate" trope makes senses and that's how life can be at times. The influence is real and detrimental to young minds. And let me say, I like Ryan Gosling, but James Marsden is ...🔥🔥🔥🔥
