Definitely Bakura, but he's easily the most patient villain in the whole series. And even after losing a few times, twice against Yugi and then against Yami Marik, he kept coming back. And in his last and true form he was close to wiping out the past and the present as Zorc. And he defeated Exodia, the 3 Egyptian Gods, and a Blue Eyes
I agree yami-bakura is the best villain in yugioh, I enjoyed seeing him silently working in the background and having a backup plan just in case something went wrong, he definitely is the most patient character in the entire franchise, and that's another thing I like about him cause he's was introduced to us as villain early on in the show but didn't become the Main villain until the last season. Also I felt bad bakura when yami-bakura possessed him when he was trying to run away for him.
Why is everybody ignoring Dartz from Season 4? He manipulated his allies to pursue his goals, presented one of the strongest duels Yuki & Kaiba ever faced (especially since Kaiba lost), his deck was immensely powerful (themed with the magic of “The Seal Of Orchicalcos“) and he collected thousands and thousands of souls to summon the Great Leviathan, one of the strongest monsters the world has ever seen. He deserves more recognition IMO as a villain.
Well it's like Bakura said, he had to wait, there was already someone else trying to take over the world. It a problem all villains have but never talk about. Gotta wait your turn, if all the bad guys tried to take over the world at the same time, they would get in each other's way and the hero wouldn't even have to do anything.

He won more then one duel. He beat people in Duelist Kingdom to qualify for the finals such as Bones and he bested Pegasus TWICE. (Not in a standard duel but in a battle of shadow magic)
Pegasus is the top villain because he is a troll villain by turning all the scary monsters into toons. Imagine the ridicule you get from him when he did it.

I always loved his evil British accent it’s actually kinda sexy lol His sub voice sounds WAY too feminine in my opinion but is lower as Yami Bakura by a bit I vastly prefer his dub voice bc he actually sounds like much more evil and threatening plus actually sounds like a male not a female

Been contacting Konami many times to help out but they couldn't do anything, I even had my ID memorized too.

Zarc: Everybody has a dark side, and as far as Yugioh heroes go, Yuya's is undoubtedly the darkest. When Yuya finds himself at the brink of defeat, he develops a sadistic and malicious demeanor that allows him to overwhelm his adversary with unprecedented brutality. This is a sign that it was only a matter of time before the hero became the villain; a villain named Zarc. Near the end of the series, Zarc gains complete control over Yuya and effortlessly wipes out all his friends, two by two! If you want my opinion, a villain who can manipulate the hero like a puppet and force him to do such unforgivable things deserves the number one spot.
Not only that, but despite Zarc’s symbolism and general malevolence, he’s not around for very long. Granted Zorc isn’t either, but...well, he technically isn’t on this list either. I think Zarc would be have been better than, say, diva, but yea. Also, notice how neither Arc-V nor Vrains is represented here, despite both being good.
Vector truly is the ultimate troll, genre-savvy enough to take full advantage of the protagonist's willingness to trust a friend. He even pretends to reform and feel remorse after regaining his memories just to trick his opponent. He also has some hilarious facial expressions despite not having a mouth in his normal form. We probably won't ever see this, but I'd like to see another villain just as berserk as Vector or Yami Marik with a super aggressive strategy to scare opponents into submission.
@@critically587 IKR, it's like he's watched tons of anime to get familiar with the cliches and exploit them. I'm surprised he never pretended to fall in love with one of the female cast just to make people think he was going soft, and then BAM.
As much as I loved Zexal, All the big villains weren't very threatening EXCEPT that of Vector. His reveal was the biggest slap across the face and I loved it. Some of the temporary antagonists, like that of Cameron 'Almost made an airship that Tori was on crash' Clix, are better than the bigger villains to me.

I knew number 1# would be Yami Bakura! He was there all along and I though he was just a side antagonist! But then he turned from just a side antagonist, to the final boss of the anime! I really like how no matter how often he got defeated, he always came back and kept on upping his game until he became the most powerful enemy that Yugi and his friends have ever faced! I find seeing a side antagonist, who already seems quite important to the story, considering that he keeps coming back, become the final villain of the series immensely satisfying!

Pegasus character had a serious problem. If he did what he did because he wants to bring back his wife, then why did he do the evil laugh every time he captured a soul? For someone who wants to save his love, I'd imagine him to be sad about what he does and be like "I'm sorry I have to do this, but it's the only way. :( ". Instead, he's like "your souls are mine, now you'll suffer forever and never come back! AAAHAHAHA!!". It doesn't make sense at all. Why would he enjoy spreading suffer and terror if he does it to save his love and not for purpose of evil.
You're right, and it's because the anime made up the whole part about Pegasus bringing his wife back for some reason. In the manga Pegasus just wanted to use Kaiba's hologram techknowlogy to make a life like version of his wife. Pegasus was only meant to beat Yugi that way the big 5 would give Pegasus Kaiba Corp. So why did the anime decide to through that in is beyond me.
Where is Dartz? Also, should of had some Yu-Gi-Oh music to duel by track as the background music for this video. Alright, so Yami Bakura was my number 1 too, though. Zarc, from Arc - V was pretty terrifying too, considering that he OTK'd a lot of duelists from different dimensions.
I really love how villains in yugioh aren't just villains they became that way after suffering and despair so it makes them more meaningful. Also I LOVED Vector! The moment he used Shingetsu voice to say he tricked Yuma and laughed at his face was the best moment ever! Also Bakura has always been my favorite even tho he would lose multiple times he was still going along his plans and eventually he came through with it. Also loved his creepy deck and just how sinister he is.
When I was a kid I started watching Yu Gi Oh when the group encountered Noah, and let me say I was so annoyed by his voice but I was so happy when he was finally defeated
For #1, it should be noted that Yami Bakura is the present day incarnation of Zorc the Dark one, meaning that he was the ultimate evil that existed in the series from the very beginning.
Won't forgot nightshround/darkness quotes, "abnormal weather, unstoppable disputes. The world is destroyed, because of broken human being." Not exactly what he said but can't forget these words. That's why I'm a fan of gx and didn't watch 5d, zexal and anything that came after gx.
feel like zarc and don thousand could have been high on honorable mentions. zarc's was eradicating the multiverse and he beat 10 people in a row in one game before losing against rey. with a strategy involving nearly unnaffected monsters, a no damage life gain setup, addiitional protection effects, and making sure your opponent cannot add cards from hand period. Don Thousand was a conqueror of a whole galaxy and only wanted more. his whole strategy sounded like a terror story, where he changes what you played or summon. with one shot burn strategies, a 10k atk boardwipe striker, and a 100k atk that is an auto win if you don't attack it. maybe this be more suited for top 10 strongest decks from anime villains

Bakura is definitely the best. He stood in the shadows and waited for the right moment to get his hands on the millennium items. He honestly didn’t care if he won a duel or not, he was always one step further than anyone (even yami marik) with back up plans just to reach his goal and he actually accomplished. I think he was a well written villain from beginning to end.

It's trying to force me into playing a children's card game under threats of killing my friends. Can you please arrest him? I've got school tomorrow and I just escaped from a burning warehouse that was set on fire by hooligans from the Shadow Realm. Officer: Don't worry kid, we'll just print new cards that grants you an automatic win on the spot. It's unfair, but that's how we caught that serial killer the other day. I'll tell you if I lost that duel I'd probably just let him make a run for it rather than apprehend that poor sucker in the middle of our game. Yugioh Protagonist: Thanks officer, I'm going to go back to school and live a normal life. Officer: How about you fix that hair of yours first. It looks like someone threw every type of hair-dye and gel into it and then gave up halfway through.
The first and GX are really good and in my opinion the series only gets better from then on. You'll notice there are fans of every yugioh series so it's really fun. I'd suggest starting from yugioh duel monsters (the first series) then GX and following in order of release. It's easier to do that to keep up with rules and stuff since the later series can be a bit complex
every series has its own theme. Yugioh-Egypt Gx-Academy school life and growing up 5ds- It has mixed thems but its probably the most mature and deep. Zexal-Galaxy wars with grey morality Arc V- Dimensional war mystery show with all game methods, its cool. Vrains- Humans vs A.I
Where's Lightning from Yugioh VRAINS? Serious, that IA almost destroy the VRAINS world as the real world. Besides, he: 1. Destroy the cyberworld where the Ignis lived and put all the fault in the humans, trying to make the Ignis revolts angainst makind; 2. He tortured emotionally a child for weeks during the Lost Incident; 3.Kill Revolver's father and put the responsability of that murder in the Sol Techonolgy. 4. His deck of "Armatos Legio" and his duel was awesome Lastly, EVERYTHING BAD THAT HAPPENED IN VRAINS WAS BLAME OF LIGHTNING
I love Marik the most. The guy was forced to take care of the Pharaoh's tomb when he was just a child. As a result, all he wanted was freedom and revenge. But when he was defeated, he destroyed himself for good after realising his sister knew that, despite the torture he and abuse he endured, he was far from the sadistic moron he would fully become after Odion lost to Joey.
Yami Marik was definitely the scariest one of them all. Honestly Yami Marik would of actually beaten the pharaoh if the original Marik didn't take control of his body and surrender the game!

Mai stole his RA and he got it back because of some bs plot armor. he lost first during the battle royale against Yugi, Kaiba, and Joey. and again, he won against joey because joey cannot continue the duel. without plot armor Tristan would clap him soo hard with his cyber commander deck the only great thing from marik is his craziness not his dueling

Once Yami Bakura transfer a portion of his spirit into Yugi's Puzzle it was obvious he will be the final opponent. he even Laugh at episode 54 when Yami Yugi and Tea were in the Domino Square for the battle city announcement and only Yugi heard the laugh because it was probably came out of the puzzle. i wonder if Yami Yugi ever realise it was Yami Bakura...
I'd argue the best of each Season is: OG: Dartz: By the end of the season he is hated, he is able to make people give into their hate including the pharaoh, and his duel vs Yugi was awesome. GX: Yubel as she has a different and more personal motivation and leads to Jaden becoming the Supreme King for some time. 5Ds: Rex Goodwin for his constant presence and eventual turn to the darkside, however I'd argue Roman Goodwin was the cooler villain with his talk about Destiny. He didn't desire to win as much as he just wanted good to fight evil and see who came out on top as it needed to happen. ZEXAL: Yes Vector made the most impact, but the best Villain has to be Don Thousand. In addition to being an actual GOD, he created the barians, set up most of the show, and was 1 duel away from destroying earth, Astral world, and strengthening barian world. Not to mention he has the power to control which cards get drawn on both sides. And he has monsters with 10k and 100k attack points + powerful special abilities, which are some of the strongest in the series. Arc-V: I guess Zorc. None of the villains meant that much to me. And I haven't seen the entirety of the show it just wasn't doing it for me.
Honestly Dartz needs more recognition. He basically was on Par with Zorc moments from taking over the whole world. Plus, Yugioh as a series, when it comes to monsters and magic doesn't even start in Egypt, it starts with Dartz and his people in Atlantis showing how duel monsters were somehow a thing in ancient Atlantis and the shadow games were an Atlantis thing with all the monsters getting trapped all around the world after Atlantis fell, such as Harpies in Greece, etc. As spirits trapped within objects or within the souls of people. Egypt with Atems dad just continued the story as we all know and love by rediscovering and harnessing this monster world/power left behind by Atlantis and Forging the items out of it, fighting one another with the captured monsters etc. So I say the best villain is between Bakura and Dartz. but I'm also a huge fan of Yami Marik too, the duel between Bakura and him was one of the best

Zarc: Everybody has a dark side, and as far as Yugioh heroes go, Yuya's is undoubtedly the darkest. When Yuya finds himself at the brink of defeat, he develops a sadistic and malicious demeanor that allows him to overwhelm his adversary with unprecedented brutality. This is a sign that it was only a matter of time before the hero became the villain; a villain named Zarc. Near the end of the series, Zarc gains complete control over Yuya and effortlessly wipes out all his friends, two by two! If you want my opinion, a villain who can manipulate the hero like a puppet and force him to do such unforgivable things deserves the number one spot.
Not only that, but despite Zarc’s symbolism and general malevolence, he’s not around for very long. Granted Zorc isn’t either, but...well, he technically isn’t on this list either. I think Zarc would be have been better than, say, diva, but yea. Also, notice how neither Arc-V nor Vrains is represented here, despite both being good.
He also does the biggest beat down in yugioh history. He basically defeats the entire cast on his own.

Vector truly is the ultimate troll, genre-savvy enough to take full advantage of the protagonist's willingness to trust a friend. He even pretends to reform and feel remorse after regaining his memories just to trick his opponent. He also has some hilarious facial expressions despite not having a mouth in his normal form.
We probably won't ever see this, but I'd like to see another villain just as berserk as Vector or Yami Marik with a super aggressive strategy to scare opponents into submission.
That scene when he acted as if he was reformed against Nasch actually fooled me. The guy is such an amazing troll.

As much as I loved Zexal, All the big villains weren't very threatening EXCEPT that of Vector. His reveal was the biggest slap across the face and I loved it. Some of the temporary antagonists, like that of Cameron 'Almost made an airship that Tori was on crash' Clix, are better than the bigger villains to me.

I knew number 1# would be Yami Bakura!
He was there all along and I though he was just a side antagonist!
But then he turned from just a side antagonist, to the final boss of the anime! I really like how no matter how often he got defeated, he always came back and kept on upping his game until he became the most powerful enemy that Yugi and his friends have ever faced!
I find seeing a side antagonist, who already seems quite important to the story, considering that he keeps coming back, become the final villain of the series immensely satisfying!

Pegasus character had a serious problem. If he did what he did because he wants to bring back his wife, then why did he do the evil laugh every time he captured a soul? For someone who wants to save his love, I'd imagine him to be sad about what he does and be like "I'm sorry I have to do this, but it's the only way. :( ".
Instead, he's like "your souls are mine, now you'll suffer forever and never come back! AAAHAHAHA!!".
It doesn't make sense at all. Why would he enjoy spreading suffer and terror if he does it to save his love and not for purpose of evil.

You're right, and it's because the anime made up the whole part about Pegasus bringing his wife back for some reason. In the manga Pegasus just wanted to use Kaiba's hologram techknowlogy to make a life like version of his wife. Pegasus was only meant to beat Yugi that way the big 5 would give Pegasus Kaiba Corp. So why did the anime decide to through that in is beyond me.
I like to think of it as him being a typical rich-guy douchebag coupled with extreme flamboyancy.

Where is Dartz? Also, should of had some Yu-Gi-Oh music to duel by track as the background music for this video. Alright, so Yami Bakura was my number 1 too, though. Zarc, from Arc - V was pretty terrifying too, considering that he OTK'd a lot of duelists from different dimensions.

I really love how villains in yugioh aren't just villains they became that way after suffering and despair so it makes them more meaningful. Also I LOVED Vector! The moment he used Shingetsu voice to say he tricked Yuma and laughed at his face was the best moment ever! Also Bakura has always been my favorite even tho he would lose multiple times he was still going along his plans and eventually he came through with it. Also loved his creepy deck and just how sinister he is.
When I was a kid I started watching Yu Gi Oh when the group encountered Noah, and let me say I was so annoyed by his voice but I was so happy when he was finally defeated
It's clear whoever made this or voted in it did not get past the first three series. There are way better villains among the six series than Noah.

zarc's was eradicating the multiverse and he beat 10 people in a row in one game before losing against rey. with a strategy involving nearly unnaffected monsters, a no damage life gain setup, addiitional protection effects, and making sure your opponent cannot add cards from hand period.
Don Thousand was a conqueror of a whole galaxy and only wanted more. his whole strategy sounded like a terror story, where he changes what you played or summon. with one shot burn strategies, a 10k atk boardwipe striker, and a 100k atk that is an auto win if you don't attack it.

Bakura is definitely the best. He stood in the shadows and waited for the right moment to get his hands on the millennium items. He honestly didn’t care if he won a duel or not, he was always one step further than anyone (even yami marik) with back up plans just to reach his goal and he actually accomplished. I think he was a well written villain from beginning to end.

I’ve only ever seen the first series and GX. They are REALLY GOOD. Also, watch the Abridged Series if you want some laughs.
I grew up watching the classic show. To this day I still love it and defiantly recommend it.
The first and GX are really good and in my opinion the series only gets better from then on. You'll notice there are fans of every yugioh series so it's really fun. I'd suggest starting from yugioh duel monsters (the first series) then GX and following in order of release. It's easier to do that to keep up with rules and stuff since the later series can be a bit complex
every series has its own theme.

Where's Lightning from Yugioh VRAINS? Serious, that IA almost destroy the VRAINS world as the real world. Besides, he:
1. Destroy the cyberworld where the Ignis lived and put all the fault in the humans, trying to make the Ignis revolts angainst makind;
2. He tortured emotionally a child for weeks during the Lost Incident;
3.Kill Revolver's father and put the responsability of that murder in the Sol Techonolgy.
4. His deck of "Armatos Legio" and his duel was awesome

I love Marik the most. The guy was forced to take care of the Pharaoh's tomb when he was just a child. As a result, all he wanted was freedom and revenge. But when he was defeated, he destroyed himself for good after realising his sister knew that, despite the torture he and abuse he endured, he was far from the sadistic moron he would fully become after Odion lost to Joey.

Once Yami Bakura transfer a portion of his spirit into Yugi's Puzzle it was obvious he will be the final opponent. he even Laugh at episode 54 when Yami Yugi and Tea were in the Domino Square for the battle city announcement and only Yugi heard the laugh because it was probably came out of the puzzle. i wonder if Yami Yugi ever realise it was Yami Bakura...

I'd argue the best of each Season is:
OG: Dartz: By the end of the season he is hated, he is able to make people give into their hate including the pharaoh, and his duel vs Yugi was awesome.
GX: Yubel as she has a different and more personal motivation and leads to Jaden becoming the Supreme King for some time.
5Ds: Rex Goodwin for his constant presence and eventual turn to the darkside, however I'd argue Roman Goodwin was the cooler villain with his talk about Destiny. He didn't desire to win as much as he just wanted good to fight evil and see who came out on top as it needed to happen.
ZEXAL: Yes Vector made the most impact, but the best Villain has to be Don Thousand. In addition to being an actual GOD, he created the barians, set up most of the show, and was 1 duel away from destroying earth, Astral world, and strengthening barian world. Not to mention he has the power to control which cards get drawn on both sides. And he has monsters with 10k and 100k attack points + powerful special abilities, which are some of the strongest in the series.
Arc-V: I guess Zorc. None of the villains meant that much to me. And I haven't seen the entirety of the show it just wasn't doing it for me.

Honestly Dartz needs more recognition. He basically was on Par with Zorc moments from taking over the whole world.
Plus,
Yugioh as a series, when it comes to monsters and magic doesn't even start in Egypt, it starts with Dartz and his people in Atlantis showing how duel monsters were somehow a thing in ancient Atlantis and the shadow games were an Atlantis thing with all the monsters getting trapped all around the world after Atlantis fell, such as Harpies in Greece, etc. As spirits trapped within objects or within the souls of people.
Egypt with Atems dad just continued the story as we all know and love by rediscovering and harnessing this monster world/power left behind by Atlantis and Forging the items out of it, fighting one another with the captured monsters etc.
So I say the best villain is between Bakura and Dartz.
but I'm also a huge fan of Yami Marik too, the duel between Bakura and him was one of the best
