    At 3:14 of the video the narrator says to push forward to work the suds into the carpet. He neglects to say to turn off the shampoo flow lever on the tank before doing this. The video clearly shows the lever in the off position at that point. I did not do this and ended up saturating the carpet with foam, thus using up a full tank of solution on a very small area. That needs to be noted and should be added to the video.

      Yup! I noticed that as well. Thankfully i had seen another video from an actual home user that clearly emphasized this critical step and how Kirby fails to tell most buyers.

    So I’m going to do my whole house. Been a Kirby owner since 2002. This is the model I have now. The instructor told us to foam the area in lines. Let foam sit on top and cover small areas than come back and suck it up by turning off bubbles. So do I apply Suds why moving Kirby in reverse and go back up going over the suds to work into carpet than going back down on it leavings suds over it again? Than start a new line of suds next to it??? Than turn off nozzle of suds to suck it all up???? Or do I let it sit and suck it all up using the Kirby with bag on??? I remember I use to go over the square lines of suds the Kirby leaves on the rug .than let it sit for 10 min than come back with suds nozzle turn off and suck up the water and they tray will fill up with dirty water and I’ll empty it. it gets pretty full and dirty and continue to go over rug until dry . So what way is the correct way?just go over area once ? And the tray fills up with water when turning off the suds nozzle? Ain’t that the way to dry up the rug and suck the soap off?

    Hi Nimblinn. The Kirby Shampoo System uses a dry foam formula. It works a layer of foam into the carpet using only a small amount of water. As the foam dries, it encapsulates the dirt and debris and pulls it away from the fibers. After the carpet has dried, thoroughly vacuum the floor to remove all the encapsulated dirt. Using just a fraction of the water an extraction cleaner does helps the carpet dry faster, and prevents damage that can occur to carpets and floor when too much water is used.

    The Kirby Carpet Shampoo system was first introduced in 1965 with the Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50 model. There are no shampoo systems that are compatible with the 515.

    Hi Vacuumboy69. Using hot water can cause overfoaming of the shampoo. In this case, warm water works best.

    Hi Chris. Your Sentria II system should have come with a small, concentrated bottle of Kirby shampoo. Our dry foam system is different than steam extraction systems. It uses very little water to create the foam that is applied to the carpeting. If you have questions about Kirby shampoo or your Kirby system, please give us a call at 1-800-437-7170.

    Why not hot water?

    • @ccrawford9891
      @ccrawford9891 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hot water causes too much foam during shampooing. Warm water is best for optimal for dispersal, because you won’t get too much foam nor will you get not enough.
