These dozers were part of an estate of heavy equipment that were being cleaned up. Most of the stuff went to scrap but we agreed to purchase this TEREX D-600D (Hanomag) and this Liebherr PR731C for just over scrap price - $2,000 each. After the ride, batteries, fluids and a considerable amount of my time, did I overpay?

Watching you collect more broken old “junk “makes me feel better about my own poor choices ! Keep up the good work
LMMFAO!!
I know what you mean. Tyler is here to help in many ways.
😂😂 😢true 😢
Thanks! Hopefully it isn’t junk lol
🤣🤣👍👍👊
Sometimes the youtoob algorithm gives you gold, this channel seems ok with good content, no loud crap muzak blasting. I think I will subscribe.
Thanks!
Me too. I'll give it a go.
Liebherr are top of the market machines. They make cranes (Some of the biggest in the world), dozers, dump trucks, loaders and a whole lot more. Glad everything worked out for the movement of both machines.
Thank you and the other one have one of the best long lasting diesel hard duty machines build ever(hanomag -true German high end quality build to last with 0% china parts ),and he thinks he over paid them.
A little bit of work some investment with no paint job at all just make it all work fine he can double the money easy including the investment parts and work!
This libheerr dozer it's not good machine
Back in the 1990s I wanted a Liehberr dozer so bad. They were cheap here in Georgia USA. Everyone said they tear up and parts are too high. I had lots of Cat machines and just wanted to have one just for fun. I almost bought one but did not. All the sudden every manufacturer went hystat. Now I hate hystat (as far as owner operator not running gps and I want open source machines that are easy to repair). I like hystat when it's new, rented, or someone else's purchase. The cost of the pump and motors and the catastrophic potential. It's like a terrible zero turn mower. Easy to operate. Happy to see someone take a chance on this machine. Eager to watch.
Clint at C&C equipment mentioned once they use 15/40W motor oil 🛢️ in all their machines they've worked on or fixed which would save you a lot of money $$$. Others have said 15/40 motor oil lacks anti rust ingredients but key it's OIL when All is said and done, right. Buying larger quantities of 15/40 and mixing it with hydraulic oil seems like a good idea to me. I was low on hydraulic fluid in an older rollback I own and added some 15/40 and all's good so far. I wish I could find a small dozer that I could move around on my own. Baby Dozers, 🤣🤣🤣. It's great to see you having such good luck this early in the year. Keep it up. 😊
Thanks Mike!
Thats only on John Deere hydrostat machines with that sepcific pump
heck yeah, glad to see them safe and sound with you guys
Nice rescue. I'm looking forward to the repairs on both.
I know very little about heavy plant equipment but my fascination level is off the chart! Like a kid with Tonka toys. Which is amazing considering I'm in my late 60's and retired.
Great video mate thanks for sharing
Great collection you got. Enough to keep you busy for a while. 👍🤘🏻
Call Clint at C&C equipment in Nashville Indiana he know the the Liebherr like the back of his hand…he also does youtube!
well done great job , have fun with those machines !!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Another project or 2! Cheers from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦!
More to come!
Gread Video and success on getting them running !!!
Great what you do love watching all your videos Best wishes from England UK
Two more “junk” dozers, a superb stativa, and a coffee blacker than death=a pretty amazing Sunday morning. You’re always so chill and matter of fact. ✊🏻✊🏻
I love my coffee black as midnight too
Can’t wait for the follow up on these
I enjoy the longer videos. Hope to see more in these two machines.

New subscriber from Australia, can’t believe you got these old girls for $3k each delivered, awesome price. Can’t wait to go back through your other videos.
Welcome aboard!
Same...watching from across the ditch...what a score!
@@dieseJL from down here in New Zealand...subscribed
So glad ya had the 4 g to save these old dozers. I have always wanted to see/learn/hear about hyd driven crawlers. Will be along for journey and surely there will be lotsa work for D6 sizes!
That’s what I’m hoping!
Damn Tyler you got yourself two Amazing old dozer’s. Check voltage to the blade solenoid valve and ohm out the coils to it. Can’t wait to see your next video, and keep up the great work.
Thanks! Have any experience with those dozers?
Both engines run great.
Happy Easter to you and the family!
Thank you, happy Easter to you too!
Keep up the good work Mr Ordonez
Wow absolute bargain of the year
You get the oil leaks fixed on the Trex and that will be a good machine.
why didnt you open the hydraulic lines to the dozer, then lift and chain it? or just chain the 2 blades together so the blade could go on the truck?
As far as the Mystery Red Fluid goes, IH Hy-Tran used to be red back in the day. One shop I used to do work for also used to blend Hydro Oil and Dexron ATF to improve its Lubricity so it could be used in other applications that required it. Nice work getting that old iron out of there anyway.
Thanks!
Liebherr is SWEET! Worth fixing.
We got a liebherr 741c is a really good machine once you work it all out, hydraulic side of Dozer was the bottom small pump on the splitter box.
Hydraulics are on a pilot system it should have test points everywhere.
If you were able to force the hydraulics up/down then I'd say it's not electrical as it shouldn't move at all.
Great video
Keep up the content!
Thanks, will do!
You're not supposed to walk around with a quart 30w in your pocket. 🤣👍 Every time I do that something follows me home. 🤷
Great video. We love your honest videos.
I appreciate that!
Great vid! Good luck!
Thanks!!
That Liebherr Dozer has a Mercedes V6 in it!
Another nice vid Tyler.
That A good deal, there germy made super quality
Nice job Nice Bulldozers Nice show 😃👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
You’re quite the collector! Hope things work out for you. Any 411 on the giant loader in the background?
The dozer leaking fluid was a total mood 😂
Agreed but Time is money.
And 36 grand later he managed to get them home. Another 60 grand and one will run... lol. Good luck my friend. I love ambitious projects to save things.
Trex has an exhaust manifold leak, and an engine miss that is worse when the engine warms up. Bit of work there
Man, that is exciting
good buy you can't lose
The absolute beast engine of an old lieberr
Man I would go anywhere if I could even just play in a dozer for a while. I’ll do with it whatever chore you need done. Would be so awesome playing on a huge dozer.
2k per machine is extremely cheap for those size machines in my area. Most around are half the size and they want 3-6 thousand for them and they're always beat to absolute sh*t.
good buy, you should have bought the hanomag wheel loader too
Still may 🤔
@@dieseJL Yessssssssss
in some hydraulic systems. a small chunk would get lodged in the valve body and a pencil magnet will clear it
Hey Tyler your Wife must be very understanding ,it is always an adventure to see what you have bought ,but as always very watchable entertainment ,i enjoy every episode Mate
Cheers kym
Adelaide
She is a saint and my biggest supporter! Couldn’t do this stuff without her 👀
Fix, repair, and clean it up, then sell.
Yes
$4k for both - it's a great deal, not overpaid.
👍👍
That was fun
Running with oil so low will cook oil. Volume = cool
Need to operate levers while lifting blade cyl.
You need to rev up that Liebherr . And use the terex to lift the blade up to pivot the blade
boy that v6 diesel is just too kool glad you were able to save em, by chance I can get the contacts for the lowboys? I cant find any guys here to move a harvester for me. thanks
Where are you located?
My Leibherr pr711 hold about 40 gals of oil in that tank
you got a hell of a deal on those machines
We’ll see, lol
Essential you take blade
I think I would try putting a chain around the blade and use the Trex to pull it forward.
Very interesting and a whole lot of face time.
If nothing else rap the blade with the Trex blade and load it first on the loboy and chain it down.
Back Trex off and put the Liembr on with the blade once you unrap the blade together
Then get the Trex loaded on the other lowboy ands be gone.
The Liebherr will make a great machine once sorted
Man brother you got a heck of a deal. I think you will do all right. You need to give one of those to your wife. Hahahah so she can be invested!! Thanks for sharing y'all's adventures!!
She can have one if she wants 🤣
Good idea saving your body using the ramp for the battery install.
And then making jim lift the other four cores
👌 Top Job
..
Какие планы на эти бульдозеры, восстановление или разбор на запчасти. 👍👍👍
Sounds like you need a home on the golf course. 😃
Wow. 1000. Each. How dam far buddy. Thats a lot man.
120 miles one way
Question: If you are up a creek without a paddle; HOW did it get up the creek to start with? Got a non-answer as a small kid.
Could you not have used the hook on the terex blade some chain then lift the other
Hello Tyler. Are you sure the Liebherr isnt just still too low on fluid to move the blade? I think you mentioned 75 gallons and someone else in the comments said 40 gallons. Either way not very much fluid for it to be expected to function well. Maybe your plan is to change the fluid, so not putting too much in until thst happens? I was surprised when the Liebherr turned.
I think the blade would have some function. We need to drain fluid and fix leaks before we put a few hundred dollars of fluid in it!
Use pb blaster on the pins
Clear the tank hydro filter
When lowballing backfires.
He he. Your collection is growing. Great. He he
sweet
I own A D 600 c terex. It is actually a German Hanomag crawler. My torque converter seal is our and it pukes oil out in a stream .
Join the club
id be taking that new track chain
Oh I did
Liebherr with MB OM 421 and the other one Hanomag with Hanomag Henschel Diesel ?
Yep
The one that runs and drives to me has an odd engine sound when you rev it??
Lol,you should have offered scrap price..I did that one time on an older 977 loader..The guy thought for a few seconds & said,ok..😂😂
I think I paid scrap minus the ride
@@dieseJL Actually your correct 😂😂
Is that next to Detroit airport?
That German Merc diesel engine must be worth something to somebody. Even if it is a replacement for a truck or some other project.
I have a name suggestion for the Liebherr; when I turn closed captioning on (to hear your Dad and Uncle), it shows up as “Lee Bear” and it sure is a bear. Thanks for the video from Canada . 🇨🇦
I think you scored!
Super
Man I want just 1 dozer so bad.
I like to use filtered used engine oil. For shit I'm not sure about.
I really want to know why you took the blade off when it was already up in the air when do you need to get a permit
the blade was 12'8" wide, max legal with a permit is 12' unless you want to have two escort cars
There is a button with an arrow on the instrument cluster… press that button the blade is set to float that’s what makes it act like that
Ah that is good to know
I’m thinking you get that tank full and the problems will go away
there may be a safety that does not allow the blade to cycle unless something silly like the seat belt is hooked up, something to check anyway, you could also chain the blade to the other dozer face to face, that way it atleast can travel home
That’s what I’m hoping
You need the makita XWT08z impact it will remove anything!!!
I will google it
That red oil is ATF. That's meant for automatic gearboxes of cars and for steering pumps of cars and trucks. So it's not suitable for the hydraulic system of a dozer.
They will run till they break then you will park or junk them. Parts will be your catch 22.
