Puss wasn’t not afraid by the end. The point was that he was afraid but would fight anyway because he values what he has. Before, he wasn’t afraid, so he didn’t value what he had. Fearlessness isn’t a sign of strength. You can see him release a big sigh of relief when he realizes Death was going to let him live.

having fear isn't equivalent to gaining wisdom. Puss gained the wisdom in the end and whilst he was fighting, he was a fearless hero. Before, he was afraid to die when he met Death. Kitty was definitely lying about not showing up to the wedding. If she hadn't, she wouldn't have known Puss didn't either, nor would she have acted so mad over it.
I guess when she found out his reason for bailing was because he was scared rather than just not caring about her was comforting along with his sincere apology. Albeit he made a stupid mistake, he really did care about her which was all she wanted (someone to love n vice versa) hence why she was ready to forgive him n even lighten his guilt so they can both move on from the past. Gotta say, Puss was very lucky with that cuz not everyone is that forgiving n I'm just glad he learned his lesson to not take Kitty for granted again.
I wonder if she did show up, just not dressed as a bride since she had a feeling Puss would bail. So she was there, but maybe stayed in the back or a separate room in case she was wrong and would need to change back. Given her skills, I could totally see her slipping into her dress in less than a minute and… well, fairy tale magic logic. If anything, maybe a quick spell would do the trick. Weddings don’t normally start until both bride and groom are there. If this is a Spanish style wedding with Catholic traditions (since that is the major religion in Spain), then there normally isn’t groomsmen or bridesmaids and neither would have had that anyway. They could have a father/mother figure stand in, but given Kitty’s lack of trust they would have most likely walked down the aisle together. Which isn’t uncommon, but mainly reserved for circumstances where the bride’s father can’t do it (such as what my friends did at their wedding. Her dad had passed away so they did a ‘first look’ then walked down together). So yeah, she wouldn’t have been waiting at the altar itself since she wouldn’t have walked down it alone and the ceremony wouldn’t start until Puss showed up. Since Puss didn’t and Kitty had a feeling he wouldn’t, she probably didn’t even dress up and just counted down until her suspicions were right. Once they were, she was probably disappointed and sad, but then most likely got mad at Puss for doing that to her and thus held a grudge cause planning a wedding ain’t easy! Plus, may have felt embarrassed about the whole thing since they did have some people and/or creatures show up. So long comment short: Kitty was at the church, not dresses up, and waiting to see if Puss would walk through the doors or not. Since she was expected to be dumped, she didn’t bother going out as the bride and that’s why she “didn’t show up either.” Cause technically Puss was in eye sight of he church so he showed up, just not where it mattered. Aka the altar.
But he did apologises to her for not showing up so she could have known from that moment and decided to tell him the truth but I also do think she was lying tbh

In the recent movies we had, heck even the old ones did it, the scars magically disappear.. but in this film, every time Puss takes off his hat you can see the scar. Puss doesn't tug on the map too strongly during his and Kitty's MINE scene. Either Kitty had a deathgrip or because he knows he's got the advantage due to his claws and Kitty didn't have hers (He had his claws out during that scene, and if you have a cat you know they can really be strong with that) When everyone was fighting for the map in the last fight, even though Kitty was mainly fighting back for defense, she was also trying to grab the map. But it wasn't for her own, after all, she gave the map to Puss. She was still trying to help him.
Perrito's Map isn't all that joyful either, it's very open to interpretation and alternate meanings. "Pocket Full of Posies" is a nursery rhyme that is analogy to the Black Death (bubonic plague) "River of Relaxation" Human culture often associates death with rest and respite, and his backstory is that his family tried to drown him, not hard to connect the dots. "Quick and Easy solution" is what I assume an extremelly depressed person would consider suicide to be, actually, but perrito is so uber optimistic and cheerful that he just is basically never reaches that
Also the map seems to refuse people to get a wish ( By putting on a hard path to dissuade people from getting it. Hell when we see Kitty and Puss path... I truly wonder what Jack Horner path was lol ). But it's also like the map want Perrito to get the wish with such a easy path... And he's ironically the only one who doesn't need nor want that wish.
Which, if you think about that last part. They really don't make it to the "Quick and Easy solutions", since it's gets changed to Goldi's view of the map during the little scuffle. Which, in a way the start of it being changed, began when Perrito was just being a happy, fun loving pup, chasing a stick.
The lovely details I love are Death appearing in the intro (near the wave of crowd on the Sleeping Giant fight) And how everyone's wish didn't came true because they all told what they are going to wish for (Birthday wish rule)
Actually they all realised they already got their wishes. Goldi -> A family, even if they are bears ( Perrito pointing out she won the orphan lottery even ) Puss -> A life worth figthing for instead of nines worthless lives ( like perrito said too : isn't one life enough ? ) Kitty -> Someone, anyone she can trust ( both Perrito and Puss, Perrito pointing out Kitty name was smooth... and that she was cool too ) Perrito -> Doesn't need a wish because he already got two best friend ( i love this guy seriously ) The only one not truly getting his wish is Jack Horner... But F* this guy.... He would have shot a puppy in the face ! ( not mentioning everything else lol )
Goldies wish makes a lot of sense when you realise baby constantly gives her shit about how she’s an orphan. If I was Goldie I would’ve probably wanted to have the same wish. Also death exists and doesn’t exist. Throughout the movie nobody but puss knows he exists until everyone is in an environment where they could instantly die.
Yeah it's a bit of a mess with Goldie. The parents are constantly backing her as being their daughter. It's just the "little" brother who's resentful about being the junior in their relationship. That's why I really like that in the end, Goldie passes the ball to Baby their next heist.
Yes I agree with both of these comments but I’d like to add another perspective. I can imagine it would be quite hard for a child to have someone come into your life and the parents immediately start favoring one over the other. I think the strongest example of this is when they are in their cabin and Goldi and Mama bear reminisce on the first time they met. We can see baby bear is upset that some random intruder stole his bed but the parents don’t mind at all. Plus all the times they both rib* on each other mama and papa tend to take Goldi’s side. Not saying baby was in the right for his treatment but I can understand it better. That’s just my opinion
Nah, Death is visible to everyone because when Goldie, the bears, and Team Friendship were on the star, they could ALL hear the whistle and Kitty and Perro saw Death leave the star
I love how Jack horner didn’t even try to kill that last chef he really needed a soldier and he complained like a lot of people in Hardcore CoD 💀 CMON U WALKED INTO THAT ONE
If you think about it, this movie is proof that personal stakes are usually more effective as a writing tool than fate of the world stakes. Puss's fight with Death is waaaaaay more climactic than team friendship's fight with Jack Horner. One tries to (basically as it was shown) end the world, while the other is just trying to kill the protagonist, and yet that one death compared to the death of the whole world has a higher level of tension since we as an audience were led to care more about it throughout the story. The only way I can really see fate of the world stakes hitting harder than personal stakes in any story would be if the story focused more on the world than the characters, or if the characters were shown to care deeply about the world that was at risk of being destroyed. Idk. It's all about what the story chooses to focus more on I suppose.
Amazing read into this! I genuinely forgot about what Jack was wanting to wish for at the end there. I guess we had to give the writers credits for building such a lively and vibrant world but at the same time, had us hooked and focused on mostly the Death and Puss' fear of mortality parts.
I think death the wolf was inspired by anubis. Especially with those sickles and how he drew an eye of fire at the end (which is a symbol of Ra and also the symbol of Egyptian mythology)
this movie has better writing than any other movie from the last 2 years and its a fucking Shrek spin-off. Like theres not a single moment anything feels too far-fetched or out of place. its all "Just Right"
If you haven't seen it you should watch the animated movie "Bad guys", it's extremely good imo and it's probably tied with Puss for my favorite animated movie of the last few years.

The river could also be the stream that his owners tried to drown him in. He is just so happy he doesn’t seem any of it that way.
Which, if you think about that last part. They really don't make it to the "Quick and Easy solutions", since it's gets changed to Goldi's view of the map during the little scuffle. Which, in a way the start of it being changed, began when Perrito was just being a happy, fun loving pup, chasing a stick.

@@wisygirlywopitty Jack Horner just removes the world, instant void like his bag
I'm so happy that you were able to post the video on youtube finally, crazy reaction as always, loves you guys
Thank you
The lovely details I love are Death appearing in the intro (near the wave of crowd on the Sleeping Giant fight)
And how everyone's wish didn't came true because they all told what they are going to wish for (Birthday wish rule)
Actually they all realised they already got their wishes.
Goldi -> A family, even if they are bears ( Perrito pointing out she won the orphan lottery even )
Puss -> A life worth figthing for instead of nines worthless lives ( like perrito said too : isn't one life enough ? )
Kitty -> Someone, anyone she can trust ( both Perrito and Puss, Perrito pointing out Kitty name was smooth... and that she was cool too )
Perrito -> Doesn't need a wish because he already got two best friend ( i love this guy seriously )
The only one not truly getting his wish is Jack Horner... But F* this guy.... He would have shot a puppy in the face ! ( not mentioning everything else lol )
@@wisygirlywopitty yea but I was describing their original wishes the ones where they say "can't say birthday wish rules"
@@wisygirlywopitty "You're not gonna shoot a puppy, are you Jack?" "Yeah, in the face, why?"
23:16 This is the type of dark humor that only dreamworks can pull off
This is peak animation right here, Fantastic story, characters, music, and everything else
istg dream works is pumping out banger after banger. and theyre outperforming disney. definetly the start of a new animation renaissance
@@AgeOf3ra that’s exactly what I said
@@johanoskarsson8209 yea baby’s parents show blatant favoritism in Goldie, especially the mama lol. That would’ve had me hot
in most tales if death hears you talking smack he's going to put you in your place or teach you a lesson.
And here some key facts about wolf he did say that he was there to witness each frivolous end he quite literally since seen on the death cards
He's also standing in the crowd during the giant fight for a second.
Phoenix incinerates the map and destroys the wishing star.
Uncle: Magic must defeat magic!
One More Thing !
I loved Wagner Moura as Wolf/Death, such a presence.
The GOAT reactors watching a GOAT movie!? I’m here for it!
GOAT in boots
I love how Jack horner didn’t even try to kill that last chef he really needed a soldier and he complained like a lot of people in Hardcore CoD 💀 CMON U WALKED INTO THAT ONE
Fun fact: hints of death being the grim reaper, because he was never seen on the map
I love how despite Jack Horner being the main villain they still decided to make Death the most terrifying and best antagonist.
"Harry Potter bags"... It's Mary Poppins' bag. It even has an umbrella in it that makes the girl fly away and little umbrellas on it.
I do agree with that.
Amazing read into this! I genuinely forgot about what Jack was wanting to wish for at the end there. I guess we had to give the writers credits for building such a lively and vibrant world but at the same time, had us hooked and focused on mostly the Death and Puss' fear of mortality parts.
Thanos wanted to "end the world", kinda. And it's still very climatic, personal stakes are better, but the execution is even more.
I think death the wolf was inspired by anubis. Especially with those sickles and how he drew an eye of fire at the end (which is a symbol of Ra and also the symbol of Egyptian mythology)
If Goddi grab the map, Jack Horner will target her while she try to save Baby. She left it behind so Jack won’t interfere with the rescue. 37:49
this movie has better writing than any other movie from the last 2 years and its a fucking Shrek spin-off. Like theres not a single moment anything feels too far-fetched or out of place. its all "Just Right"
writing is top notch because they didn't pandering to anyone. obviously DreamWorks give the team creative rights and it's shown here.
If you haven't seen it you should watch the animated movie "Bad guys", it's extremely good imo and it's probably tied with Puss for my favorite animated movie of the last few years.
@@boboboy8189 pandering only happens when executives shove their stuff into it.
That said, sometimes they can make something better, but a lot of times pandering is just an executive decision thing.
We need more companies to just let their creatives do their jobs
Ayo the reaction is back thank you! I was in the middle of watching it and was removed like a month ago.
Everyone actually got their wish in the end. Puss got to live, Kitty got someone she can trust, Perrito got friends, Goldie got a family, Jack got all the magic in the world and Death got the respect he wanted from Puss.
You guys' reactions were quite fun to watch. I love how contagious your laughs are and genuine emotions in your reactions!
Thanks for that. Certainly means a lot
Loved this movie, no heroes just villains each having a selfish dream everyone wanted 😂👌
Except perrito my dude was the mvp
Something I saw pointed out was that the Wolf was neither perfectly human shaped but neither was he just a fairy-tale animal like puss or the little pigs. His body plan is more in between, something that sets Lobo apart from established creatures in the world
You mean Death? That's the official name.
“No one can make me bleed my own blood” sounds very similar to “you made me bleed my own blood” - Nelson Muntz 🤣
I watched this with the american side of my family (i'm british) and my aunt and uncle straight up gasped when mama bear said 'bugger'. It was so funny.
23:28 You all might as well have been in that scene with those reactions on your faces.
I believe that is Marry Poppin's bag Big Jack is using
Especially at the accusation of having a “granny bag,” he immediately counters with “it’s a magic NANNY bag!”
Plus the flying umbrella he throws to his henchwoman sells the fact he did steal Mary Poppin’s bag. Or the nanny gig wasn’t working out and she sold it 😅
"The Egyptian stuff". I never made that connection before. He is Anubis, the Dog-God of death. Good catch, Miss.
To translate the spanish you cut out at the end he basically yelled about toying with puss since now he valued his life and it went against death's morals to kill a man who values the life he has
Yup. AdorkableNerd speaks Spanish fluently.
Small point... The "Wolf" was never as an icon on the Star Map.... heh 😼🐺
Yamato, Anasui, now Death. All this Wolf representation I am honestly loving a lot
" and I don't mean it metaphorically , or rhetorically , or poetically, or theoretically , or any other fancy way. I am DEATH !! STRAIGHT.UP. !! "
chills. literal chills 🥶🤦🏽♀️
This movie hits all points!
Thank you for this reaction. Everything Everywhere All at Once is my favorite movie of 2022; however, Puss in Boot: The Last Wish is my most enjoyable movie of 2022. Also, the movie I have rewatched the most. It's so good!
Doesn’t that imply that you liked it better? XD
(At 38:32) guess this proves it. Death's not in Puss's head. He's physically real and here.
Huge like Guys. Thanks for this reaction, again the team work made the Dream Works!😁
Thanks again!

Happy birthday😂🤣
Love your channel - the reaction was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Glad you enjoyed
I just watched this movie recently and I hope I watched it in theaters. I'm happy to see you guys reacted to this
Puss should’ve known he would meet his match someday lol. Death knew the so-called legendary cat wasn’t all that.
wow, this one stuck! thank you for the reupload!
The fact that the post-credits scene hints at a possible fifth shrek movie worries me, don't get me wrong, I loved the shrek saga, but I really feel like sometimes It is necessary to know when to say goodbye, it is necessary to know when to put an end to everything.
It is necessary to know when to stop and let something die while being popular and not risk remaining in the memory as a bad ending to a saga
Well, they let it die in its time. Now with new authors, new good stories can come. After "Puss in Boots" I believe they are capable of it
I kind of agree. But... If it can keep the same great writing and animation from this movie... Then I'm optimistic for Shrek 5
Shrek forever came out 13 years ago, i really don't think they are reviving this franchise just for the money. If they wanted to squish every single penny they could they would have made an Ice age, but they didn't, i genuinely believe they are making Shrek five because they want to tell a cool story
When your little sister is keeping a secret *oh I can’t tell you birthday wish rules Sorry*
Looks like Araki (JJBA's author) didn't call Shrek suspenseful for nothin'
I'm death straight up 🥶🥶🥶🥶
Cold as glacials brah got goosebumps when I first heard that line from him
I'm glad you re-uploaded it, had to wait to rewatch it in case it got taken down again 😂
This movie actually was awesome, the animation was great, they did some frame rate stuff like in spiderverse as well, which gave this a lot of character. This was great
perrito telling finishing his story solidifies that cats are never happy aholes, and dogs are just pure bundles of joy and innocence.
“Never happy”
Yeah, I’m sure Perrito would’ve been totally ok if he was mutilated and disabled like how kitty was lol
Perrito is lucky the ones he chose for his friends weren’t terrible. Imagine what would have happened to that “bundle of joy” otherwise.
With the "Trial" Part, will really wanted to know how Jack Hornors would have loked like.
*Jack Horner's
The ending is a setup for Shrek 5, planned to be released in 2024, under the same director.
At the end of the movie when perrito made a super cute face but he actually made magnum face.
Yesssssssss I love the energy I was waiting for this reaction

2:06 Isn't that actually a reference to Marry Poppins?
Could have sworn yall watched this already this a re-upload or am I tripping
I'm pretty sure it got removed due to copyright.
Ye I’m sure I watch this reaction
The weapons that Death uses are not Egyptian or anything. They are sickles. Agricultural tools used for harvesting.
Nice to see this re-uploaded. But what happened to putting this on your new movie channel?
i think this is way to popular to put there after Roshi's numbers, i'd rather put something a little more moderate like when we did the Matrix, nobody cared too much..not a big loss to the main channel....
@@YaBoyRockLee That's honestly why I thought you were going to put it on that channel. To quickly get eyes on it and help it grow faster. But putting it on the main channel is a better decision for sure.

they definitely implemented japanese animation styles and plotlines into this and it works beautifully
What about spider man into the spiderverse
Why do so few people recognize Mary Poppins’s bag and umbrella?
Declawed vs losing a 2,000 dollar couch, lol....
There's a reason lots of vets refuse to do it nowadays- it's now well known that's it's an inhumane procedure with multiple drawbacks and lasting damage. If someone has a cat that scratches furniture, buying an expensive couch is a bad idea.
@@loupgarou95 Cool. I'll get something other than a cat. But you know, one vet won't? There's probably 5 that will... lol.

The other name of this movie: Puss vs MAdara Uchiha's long lost wolf summon. I mean Lobo literally says in the end he came for an arrogant legend. That's what Madara does. He comes foe arrogant legends to show them just how beneath him they really are.
when you mentioned, it's canon what was canon with the pups story?
Took y'all long enough, LETS GOOOO
10:00 nope, she is wat wrong. those are sickles, the Egyptians used Khopesh and look VERY different. Historic Culture, got to love it.
My son's favorite character is Death
Your point about Goldie grabbing the map first wouldn't make sense, because they were all fighting for the map, if she was holding it, it would bring the fight close to them
Facrs
Maybe I should change my name, the name Keith always getting the axe....
A cool detail is when puss is fighting the troll, you can actually see Death in the crowd watching him
Giant
(At 39:50) probably their silhouettes
idk why everyone were disappointed with goldilocks when she told her wish....i get it,not telling them but using them to get your wish is evil, but the wish is not bad,she is a human and all she wants is a proper human family...
You already said it. You actually understand it. You said it right before the final “but”
I think people are mostly disappointed cuz the delivery, basic like holding back the truth up until than, and the timing. The momma bear captured our heart and just felt bad. The humanized the bears very well.
Also these type of movies/shows the happy ending isnt really ideal for regular people lol.
Fiona staying an ogre for true love.
Puss destroying the wish and keeping one life? Lol. Come on. It’s not evil to wish for more lives either.
But there is a message in the movie/shows and we just focused on that. It was obvious Goldie was gonna accept the bears as her “family”. And it did.
@@YaBoyRockLee I think it’s interesting that none of the wishes were selfish or evil (but Jack). Hence why they decided it was enough for them and they didn’t need a wish cus they had what they wanted. But Jack wasn’t happy cus his wish was evil.
I wonder what the dark woods would’ve looked like if he held the map lol
