Hopefully you can ask a local or two about past earthquakes experiences from Manta, and up and down the coast of Ecuador. The last one was April 2016.
I was in Ecuador in 2017 and 2018, food is great and prices are very economical. Never been to Manta, I heard they have the best weather (Guayaquil is humid as hell and Quito is the total opposite).

Definitely the weather is better than in Guayaquil and Quito. Mostly it's about 24-28 C, the water Temperature is also about 24-25C, so really nice to swim in the Pacific Ocean.

Well, you cannot call Manta a beautiful city. Also, there are nicer beaches. But it's ok for 2-3 days. Life in Manta is pretty relaxed, safe, you can have good and not so expensive food, there are a few nice bars and a modern Shopping Mall. The water temperature is quite worm, so you can enjoy swimming in the Ocean.
I suggest to stay in Hotel Balandra (my favourite one, 2 min. from the beach and just next to the Mall) or Hotel Vista al Mar (a very small Hotel but with a breathtaking view).
Appreciate your street & beach footage. Nice to see off the beaten path places like that restaurant that serves delicious seafood soups. Will be stopping by Manta for a couple nights soon. Been enjoying your Brazil videos as well 👏👏

If you like partying you should do a pit stop in Montanita for a weekend, just south of Manta - has the #25th best ranked nightclub in the world (Lost Beach) and the place never sleeps from thursday night to monday morning haha

Hi Sly when i look at what is on offer in Manta and I compare it to other countries further afield ( Mexico ) ,I have to say Mexico takes the crown and I have watched dozens of videos to compare ,maybe I am mistaken and have too see more of Manta and the coastal cities of Ecuador .......

The weather is about the same year round. The only thing that changes is the cloud cover

@@jaybee5832 not at all. Ecuador is similar to Kenya in terms of weather. You get the high uv equator sun at high altitudes. I call it "suit weather"
