Totally agree about using a “Easy to use” sewing machine . Less bells and whistles the better . Wow, culottes look great and fit perfect ! Love seeing all your farm pictures .
loved your video. We are also beekeepers so it was great to see a fellow beekeeper and your gardens and such. !Love that Camijo yarn! and your knitting!!!
I am 100% with you on sewing machines. I got my sewing machine when I first got married. It still works perfectly! And that’s 50 years ago. That makes me look old. I don’t feel old but…. You get so much done ! Amazing! I love your podcasts. Keep it up!
Loved this style of video! Great to see your progress along the week and super fun to see your garden! Hope you are able to do more of this style video. Thanks a bunch!
So glad to see your mods to the culottes, and I enjoyed seeing your gardens. I am always amazed when I see healthy squash plants as mine always get attacked by squash bugs and squash vine borers!
Absolutely love this episode! Loved hearing about your thoughts on the Winslows and seeing your gardens! Also fun to see your salad❤! Have a great week!
I love the pants so much! I laughed so hard about the attempts to get the pants in the frame. It reminded me of when I try to show my mom stuff on video chat 🤣 I am definitely going to need that pattern ❤️
Your garden looks great! I have some sketchy squash/cucumbers/watermelon still. But, I know KC area is several weeks behind the Ozarks which is still north of you. Garden patience is hard!
Loved your podcast today was behind so I listened to your last 3 got so much information loved all the fabric and patterns and the knits you are a busy lady 😊 always enjoy your podcast and the sharing you give thank you so much ❤
I waited for years for my mom’s Bernina. By the time I got it, 2 things happened. 1. Too old to learn how to use it. 2. Not much motivation to try. Ha! I personally loved the modeling. You are the bomb! Missed your calling. 😂😂
Love the Rosenlund pattern. Adding to my favorites. I currently have yarn for four summer tees…..hmmmm, maybe more than four. I had an epiphany this year. I live on the NC coast and our warm weather far exceeds our cold weather. My wooly knits were not getting enough love. So I am focusing on summer knits…tees, Slipovers, tanks etc.
I have the lantern moon interchangeable set and I love it. They work with knitters pride so I also have the knitters pride shorties. Between those two, I almost never use anything else. I love the swivel cord. Once you go swivel you never go back!
Loved the episode with the variety of crafts, the garden tour and then the salad making…which had me salivating! 😊 You have a humongous garden! Do you do a lot of canning/freezing for future use, especially all those tomatoes???
Absolutely loved this style of video Kaci! Loved seeing your crafts of the week and the garden tour really brought it all together! I have been obsessed with my garden this year. I only have 2 tomato plants, 2 pepper plants and 1 zucchini plant in my small raised garden bed (I only have a small outdoor patio, the rest is all community shared) but even just that is bringing me so much joy! Can't wait for you to get started on your Rosenlund top! I definitely have worn mine both alone as a top and as a vest, its so versatile! You are going to love it! Have a great week!
Loved this episode🥰I'm so impressed, the pants look gorgeous! Do you have any sewing patterns that are super beginner friendly? Sewing gives me anxiety but I want to try challenge that too😘
I really love the hinterland dress by sew liberated and if you like wrap pants (?) these were soooooo easy! Those are two great beginner patterns. I also love the strata top by sew liberated ❤
Thanks for the great ‘hangout’ 😊 Your pants turned out great. I love the colour. Is the plan to wear your ranunculus with them? It looks like a great colour match from here. I have made a ranunculus in both fingering and dk. I love them both. The guage depends mostly on how severely you block it, or need to block depending on the size you choose. It’s hard to go wrong. Can’t wait to see how you do it. Thanks for a lovely fresh and happy podcast.
About wood needles…I originally purchased Lykke. If you like metal, these are NOT the needles for you. They are so sticky, I had to sell them. I than purchased the Knitters Pride Ginger Set and I LOVE them. They are so smooth, high quality and a good size range and cost friendly. I have 1 pair of Lantern Moon but I’ve only used them for cotton. They are a bit stickier than the Gingers. I’ve also tried Knit Picks and they are a great wood option as well, but I only have them in strait needles and not their circulars so I can’t speak to the quality of the wires and connection. But I’d hands down chose Ginger by Knitters Pride!
I have the same sewing machine as you and I think it's great. It does everything I need it to do. I'm inspired by your beautiful trousers. I love the style and the fabric. Stunning!🩵
I enjoyed seeing all of your crafting! I can't wait to see all that you make for Rhinebeck and hopefully you will be making a vlog of your time there. The test knit suspense is mounting!
I have wooden interchangeable needles from knitpicks. I love the needle tips (I have a set of foursquare and a set of dark wood ones as well). However, when I realized that the lantern moon chords worked with these is when I truly fell in love. I got the lantern moon swivel chords and have never looked back. I also have some lantern moon tips that I have ordered separately and they're just as great as my knitpicks ones. So I would highly encourage the lantern moon set!!!
My favorite needles are KnitPicks wooden interchangeables (I have several sets - they are very affordable.) I use them with my lantern moon cords. I bought various lengths of lantern moon cords. KnitPicks now also has options cords and they are a big improvement over the old standard KnitPicks cord.
I was hoping you made the blue floral top so you would share where you got the fabric, it's so pretty! That's a great idea to spin a few minutes a day. I'm more of a binge spinner; I'll spin for a few hours and then not touch it for a while.
We drove through the Ozarks first part of May on our way home to Montana from Mississippi. I keep wondering where you were! WE spent a night in Eureka, which was really nice. I like to season my chickpeas , then air fry them to either snack on or add to salads.😊
Love love love your pants! Thank you for such great info and for always being such an inspiration with such good insights. And I am so with you on the sewing machines!! I have my grandma’s and you can have it when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers!! 😂❤😂
Oh my goodness, Kaci, what amazing gardens you have!! When I saw you had no fencing or protection around your gardens I was wondering, you must not have rabbits or deer that eat everything green??
Oh Kaci I wish I knew you were going to do this pattern. It looks alot like the Stretch and Sew patterns I have used over the years. I would have suggested that you use a pattern tracing material and drawn out your particular size and preserve the original pattern. That allows you to customize your patterns…ie, shorten/lengthen the legs , make any other adjustments needed without cutting up the original pattern. ❤
I will have to try Lantern Moon. Can u add square needles? Not too many users but would b interested to hear ur perspective. ❤ books for stabilizing pattern instead of pins (which I hated). Thanks for sharing.
I have a 1978 Kenmore sewing machine. It weighs about 100 pounds! :) Can you tell me how you finish the seams on your pants so the seams don't fray? Thank you!
I have been so far behind in everything. I announced one winner on instagram! And Tazhi is picking the winner she is sending yarn to. And I’m announcing pattern winners on ig!
Catching up on old episodes I’ve forgotten to finish and it’s so exciting to see the little bit of ghost ranch knowing now what it’s knit into!
I absolutely love those pants!!!, the color, the style, they just look soooo effortlessly wonderful.
Totally agree about using a “Easy to use” sewing machine . Less bells and whistles the better . Wow, culottes look great and fit perfect ! Love seeing all your farm pictures .

They don’t make them like they used to! I love sewing machines from a a couple of decades ago! They just work forever!
Same. Not quite 50 years but many. 😉
That chickpea salad looks good!
Loved this style of video! Great to see your progress along the week and super fun to see your garden! Hope you are able to do more of this style video. Thanks a bunch!
You have the best music of all podcasters!!!
Awww thank you so much!!
New favorite episode! The pants look great on you. Seeing your garden and lunch is a nice departure from the norm. Happy Summertime!
Thanks so much!
So glad to see your mods to the culottes, and I enjoyed seeing your gardens. I am always amazed when I see healthy squash plants as mine always get attacked by squash bugs and squash vine borers!
They get us too sometimes! This year has been the first time in a while we haven’t had any
You are so talented! Great ideas for your trip to Rhinebeck.
I just love the style of your pants, so flattering. Awesome. Winslow style.❤ Thanks for sharing everything, I am getting the bucket, great idea💕
Yay! Thank you!
Absolutely love this episode! Loved hearing about your thoughts on the Winslows and seeing your gardens! Also fun to see your salad❤! Have a great week!
Thanks so much!
I love the pants so much! I laughed so hard about the attempts to get the pants in the frame. It reminded me of when I try to show my mom stuff on video chat 🤣 I am definitely going to need that pattern ❤️
I don’t have a big recording space so it’s hard sometimes 😂
Your garden looks great! I have some sketchy squash/cucumbers/watermelon still. But, I know KC area is several weeks behind the Ozarks which is still north of you. Garden patience is hard!
The culottes are beautiful and practical for summer! How wonderful to have fresh fruits and vegetables right from your yard !!
They are!
That’s a smart Rhinebeck knit! Even though it’s October, it’s always usually hot at Rhinebeck.
Wonderful! Love this.
Loved your podcast today was behind so I listened to your last 3 got so much information loved all the fabric and patterns and the knits you are a busy lady 😊 always enjoy your podcast and the sharing you give thank you so much ❤

Wow a Bernina!!! I’d actually like one of those haha ❤

I think I’m leaning more towards this same thought more and more these days

I feel as you do about sewing machines
Another fun episode!!!

Hello from Mounds Illinois.
Hello ❤
beautiful video
A beautiful episode. I love the culottes. Deschain is also a sweater that is a quick knit. 🌸
Thank you so much for this episode. It looks like you love to keep busy!
Haha I guess I do!

I’m sorry!! I bought this tee years ago! I would love some of the fabric tho ❤

We are a few hours away from eureka but I’ve viewed a few times. Pretty spot!
@YoungfolkKnits I left out the Springs, as in eureka springs! 😅
I’m interested to hear about test knits and what the benefit is to you.
I love your show. It was a long two week wait this time. 🙈. 😍
Good idea! I will chat about that!
I love the color for your pants ❤
Thank you!
Love love love your pants! Thank you for such great info and for always being such an inspiration with such good insights. And I am so with you on the sewing machines!! I have my grandma’s and you can have it when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers!! 😂❤😂

You’re amazing. How do you manage your time to do so much? TY
I feel like I’m always behind on everything 😅
Those pants are so cute!
Thanks! 😊
I have to get a strucket omgeeeeeee! And I can't wait to make your salad ❤

I do that sometimes! But I have the original pdf so I can have them printed again
Love your pants!❤❤❤
Thank you!
Love seeing your garden. Do you do a lot of canning?
Thank you! Yes we do! Mainly pickles and tomatoes
I will have to try Lantern Moon. Can u add square needles? Not too many users but would b interested to hear ur perspective. ❤ books for stabilizing pattern instead of pins (which I hated). Thanks for sharing.
Great idea!
Absolutely love your pants. Did u make the hack yourself? Or is there somewhere I can find it in a tutorial mabey? Really enjoy your channel
So sorry I forgot to add link to a tutorial! Just put that in the description!
You should wear your Taylor shirt to Rhinebeck!
I should!!!
Kaci do you play your piano to create the lovely background music?🎼
I bought this pattern a while ago but havent got around to make any yet
Hope you enjoy it when you do!
❤
The culottes look amazing on you! I’m inspired to try them for myself.
You should!
I have a 1978 Kenmore sewing machine. It weighs about 100 pounds! :) Can you tell me how you finish the seams on your pants so the seams don't fray? Thank you!
I want to try to make these pants❤ I’m not a very experienced sewer . Do you think it’s a beginner friendly pattern? If not can you suggest?
If you have sewn something before then you will be totally fine!
Please share the printer for the pattern. I couldn’t quite understand it when you said it,
I had it printed at ewe fine fibers. There is a link in the description 🥰
Did you ever end up making the Jones Trousers?
I didn’t! I have the pattern and everything cut out
Did you ever announce the winners for Collar Me Happy KAL? I think I missed it.
I have been so far behind in everything. I announced one winner on instagram! And Tazhi is picking the winner she is sending yarn to. And I’m announcing pattern winners on ig!
I have a guess as to who the test knit is for, based on the yarn chosen and the due date.
Your culottes are fantastic! I need to sew some too❤
Yes you do!
Where did you get those needles?
Lantern Moon sent me the interchangeable set as a gift but I bought the fixed needles from Amazon ❤
@@YoungfolkKnits thank you Kaci. I will look for them. Love your wrap pants. I am 60 and mad those as a teenager. Lol. Still love them
Please do not convince me to make wrap pants this week right before we leave for vacation 🥺
Haha you should!
