Hi Andrew glad you got to see old yellow up your way . I bet you are relieved to see the back end of the bulls . And would agree with giving they yards any upgrade even if hardly used just to make it more bull proof. And just a suggestion maybe see if there are any mods you make to help make loading easier and safer then you could just use those yard all the time. Anyway hope you and your family have a good Xmas . And wish your dad a merry Xmas from us viewer's

If you don't keep the calves, I would recommend angus bulls. They are much easier to handle and the calves are worth more. Don't know about there, but that is true in America.

Nice video. Love Jersey cows but the bulls are dangerous so continue to be careful.
Have you thought of adding panels to the yard fence so the cattle can't see thru the fence. They are left likely to try to jump through the fence.
Could have temporary sheets of plywood for a sight barrier.
I am in East Tennessee USA.

@@nikkireigns yeah. My dad had a friend who ran a dairy with about 50 Brown Swiss. My grandfather had a Guernsey Brown Swiss cross for a milk cow.

The day is probably not too far away when there will be widespread robot beef-boning rooms. Cow repro: Some years A.I only & no bulls worked ok, other years not so much, there are still things the cattle reproduction researchers are finding out the tiniest details on like cattle pheromones, etc. Cattle yards - maybe see if a livestock sales rep can show the local sale yards layout on a non-sale day. The balance between cost, form and function, etc.
