This one is slightly shorter than the Vid.me version if only because I was trying to cut out the parts that triggered the copyright claim, till I gave up and just file a dispute. This time the dispute succeeded so for anyone who can't watch the other version for whatever reason, here you go!

One of the earliest examples of Tom and Jerry speaking was in 1944's Lonesome Mouse. Jerry has a thick New York accent and Tom has a few lines in a deep voice. The two are largely a silent duo, but there have been instances of them speaking, especially in some of the earlier 1940s shorts. The voices are never consistent, though.
Recobbled Cobbler Huh... I knew that Tom and Jerry did have shorts where they would talk and be allies/friends on occasion when I read TV Tropes' franchise original sin page.
Also Jerry had a scene better than the movie among with singing is what Family Guy used
That was actually from 1943.
Tom and Jerry Road Trip would have made a better Tom and Jerry movie. Now I really want to see that! No songs about being friends, no bland generic Rescuers wannabe stories, no countless greedy villains, and little to no talking from Tom and Jerry.
Beware, I think there will be someone asking you to look at Tom and Jerry and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory crossover.

Heck, maybe Warner Bros should get the guys who worked on that movie to do a Tom and Jerry movie. Because clearly those guys know how to make a movie with characters that don't talk much.
Aunt Pristine just looks like a fatter version of the villain from The Rescuers. Came from a different film indeed
And both of them look like Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

Old Movie: let have a plot that has nothing to do with Tom and Jerry
New Movie: LETS MAKE IT CGI!!!
Also New Movie: Let's have Tom floss and sing FULL SENTENCES in autotune at one scene, who is voiced by T-Pain. Also, let's pull a Smurfs and focus on the awful human characters.
As you said before it would have been a more passable movie if it was a road trip plot about the two trying to get back to Tom's owner while learning to work together. I think Robin could have been in the film by being the daughter of Tom's owners, and she's the first one to notice that Tom is missing and is sad that her precious pet is gone. Tom would also be eager to get back since Robin and him have a strong relationship with one another. The only times we see Robin is when she and her parents are at the new house and she is thinking about Tom. Also all the villains that were in this film could have been obstacles that Tom and Jerry meet on their way to get back to his owners. In other words, it would be more like the plot of the Brave Little Toaster than the Rescuers plot we got.
Also I was thinking reuse Robin's father design so he's married to Tom's female owner, and thus also be his owner as well.
Aunt Figg would no longer be related to Robin, since she will be Tom owner's daughter. She and Lickboot would be a rich married couple, who take in Tom and Jerry so that they can be forced to be play campaigns to that spoiled fat dog of theirs. They would be the first obstacle that they would face.
Applecheeks would be the second one and he captures the duo to do whatever awful things he plans for them. They manage to escape as well and free all their fellow animals.
Finally there is Captain Kiddie, who would be the owner of the carnival and he would be the last obstacle. He would hold them hostage for his own reasons, and Robin and her family would be coming through the carnival. Robin spots Tom and tries to claim him, but Kiddie tries to hide him from her . Also at the carnival Figg, Lickboot, and Applecheeks have tracked down the duo to get them back. This ends up in squabble with all four parties, which could end up causing something like a fire and Robin gets caught in the mix. Tom and Jerry while working together save her, and they are all finally reunited with Tom owners at the end.
The Cat Gang and Pugsy and Frankie will be cut as well.
I think you'd be a much better writer than any of the ones on this film

Due to the horrendous songs featured in this film, I had to replace them with Daft Punk songs so my ears don't bleed.
Forget about the cruel aunt. What about the fact that somewhere in this universe, there were a set of parents who were so cruel and abusive that they named their son "Lickboot"!?!?

I wish you could have mentioned Richard Kind was also the voice of Bing Bong in Inside Out and Dana Hill was also the voice of another male cartoon mouse named Scrappy in Mighty Mouse The New Adventures. Also have you heard of the animated film Lapitch the Little Shoemaker? I've yet to see anyone on TH-cam do a review of that film
He was also the voice of Molt, Hopper's talkative brother in A Bug's Life.

I used to feel like I was the only one who found some good points in this movie (namely Tom and Jerry's frienship interactions) and was fine with Tom and Jerry talking.

Is it me or does the aunt look like a human version of Ursula from Little Mermaid? No not like Ursula when she was human, I mean like how she looked throughout most of it.

Two things wrong with this movie...
1) Tom and Jerry talk, but, they DON'T talk constantly.
2) THIS MOVIE IS JUST LIKE THE RESCUERS!!! 😡 It makes me mad thinking about all of the similarities between the two movies!
Adding a few more:
3) The melody's not horrible, but songs are poorly written and occasionally poorly delivered
4) The characters have little to no personality (even Tom and Jerry - how is that possible!)
5) Way too many bad guys for one movie and for the climax!
6) Tom and Jerry ARE NOT friends in a 180 moment!!!!

How did i knew about this movie? Here's how:
When i was a little boy, i used to frequent Cartoon Network, (until there was a Ben 10 publicity where a giant monster attacked the city and Ben couldn't defeat him because he turned into Grey Matter) and i also slept many times in my paternal grandparents' house. I had this memory, deep inside of me, lost in my memory like a bottle in the ocean. I remember having seen, in my grandparents's bedroom, an animation involving Tom and Jerry, but they could speak. And there was a little girl named with a name that sounded a lot like Robbie (thank God that wasn't her name. Who in their right mind would put that name to a girl?). I forgot about that, until 2016. I was looking through Netflix catalogue and i found out that Tom and Jerry had a movie, and one of the stills promoting them on Netflix was one where Tom and Jerry were alongside a blonde little girl in some kind of attic room. Then, i researched about the movie in Wikipedia and, eventually, i saw it. I liked it a bit. But i can perfectly see it's flaws and understand why most people hates it.
Kinda weird that Robyn's voiced by Phoebe Heyerdahl from Hey Arnold of all people. Everytime I hear that voice of hers, I keep expecting Helga Pataki to pop in.

Adding to that Rescuers comparison, I just realised: AUNT PRISTINE FIGG IS PRETTY MUCH AN OLDER MADAME MEDUSA. She ditched Snoops and went with Lickboot instead.
Tom's owner is completely wrong in this movie. Tom's original owner was a single rich black woman with a harsh temper, not this blonde, soft-spoken married woman.
R.I.P Dana Hill the voice of Jerry and Max Goof from Goof Troop and from Duckman!
There was also an old T&J cartoon where Tom spoke Spanish to impress an Hispanic woman who hired him to catch Jerry.

My parents rented this film when i was, like, 5 or 6. I had absolutely no standards back then but even then I remember feeling it wasn't "proper" Tom and Jerry at all.
3:33 - 4:11: The first two/three cartoons you mentioned are "Busy Buddies", "Tot Watchers" and "the Truce Hurts". Tot Watchers is my least favorite, because Jeannie blames Tom and Jerry for the Baby's disappearance, making me favor "Busy Buddies" over "Tot Watchers".

My reaction to this movie is this: "I don't understand, that's not what we advertised at all."
You should review The Classic Spyro The Dragon Trilogy in the future for both all of your subscribers and all of the long-time Spyro The Dragon fans out there.

I remember getting this movie on VHS for Christmas one year and regardless of how many times it was played at my house, I never liked it, despite Tom and Jerry being my 2nd favorite tv show of all time.
I thought the villain's name was "aunt figg".

I use to like this movie... but, yeah... this movie freaking blows.
I used to like this movie, too, as a kid.
This makes me realize that a Tom and Jerry movie just doesn't work. Maybe in the right hands it can work.
Having them speak is fine, the problem is making them close friends and shifting the focus away from them. Them having a love/hate kind of relationship makes more sense than what the movie tried. They can co-operate, it's just that instances of co-operation should be balanced out by instances of fighting and trying to kill each other.

Fun Fact: Joseph Barbera, who was involved as the film's creative consultant, wanted the titular protagonists which are Tom and Jerry to remain silent, but just about everyone else involved in the making of the film downvoted his idea. Hypocrites much?
Me: I actually like this movie better then the Direct to DVD movies not to say I hate them but I think it’s a great idea to have Tom and Jerry work together even in this movie and this is actually is trying to be original

Another cartoon similar to Tom and Jerry but had a movie was Oggy and the cockroaches, and uses the attached shorts formula by taking the blue cat and his friends and enemies to 4 different eras of time, but conserving the slapstick humour and silence of the characters
