What a great idea and what a great choice of player to introduce it. Michael doesn't just play the guitar, he plays the instrument so, while his approach to them all is similar, his ability to pull out the best from each is magical. Best wishes from Toronto, Canada.
This is a wonderful idea and such a beautiful looking and sounding instrument. I’m not a professional musician but have played on and off with my band which we formed at school over 40 years ago. We are about to do some more recording this winter to complete our first album. I’m also working on some solo pieces which I’d love to record with this so I will be getting to work on the application straightaway!
So glad you like it, thanks! And don't worry, we're not just looking for a "professional" musician. Everyone will be considered so we're looking forward to seeing your application 🙂
Thank you so much! Michael always does a fantastic job showcasing our work. It's always rewarding to see our instruments in the hands of talented musicians. 🤘
Yes! This is a great way to go, Rosie. I am not professional and not in the UK, but when I go to England next time I will visit your workshop. Your guitars sound incredible.
Thank you so much! We're thrilled you love the idea and appreciate your kind words about our guitars. Whenever you find yourself in the UK, we'd be delighted to have you visit our workshop. We look forward to meeting you! 🎸😊
Great sounding guitar....got the bottom end. Darker sound of mahogony.. I like this one! Kind of a vintage sound. Doesn't have the overtones of the rosewood body. Nice sustain.
Thanks a lot! Don't forget, if you're based in the UK then apply to our Artists' Guitar Program to have it all to yourself for six months turnstoneguitar.co.uk/artists-guitar-program
Thanks, we're so excited to get this guitar out there! And if you're ever thinking of playing outside your living room, apply! And please do share it with anyone that you think may be interested.
I can imagine if small bench builders offered paired back range of their guitars, it would be very difficult to compete on cost with boutique builders like Collings and Bourgeois. Even custom options from Martin, Taylor and now European builders like Furch and Dowina?
It’s true, competing on cost with the big names can feel like trying to win the Tour de France on a tricycle. But we believe our meticulous craftsmanship, attention to detail, and personal connection with each instrument offers something different that might mean we're in a different race altogether. Thanks for your insightful comment!
@@DustyNonya Who knows what the future might hold for this program 😉 To help soften the blow a little, if that's possible, we do build left-handed instruments at no extra cost, and have done several ✌🎸
@@TurnstoneGuitars Oh you'd definitely be at the top of my list if I had the cash. Kindve afraid to ask what shipping to the US would be on any of the CITES woods, though 😆
@@DustyNonya We include free, fully insured, worldwide shipping and do all the necessary paperwork for you. Running out of reasons not to get one now 😉
I take cheap guitar's and make them play like 10 thousand dollar guitars. It's possible. With the humidity we are now experiencing, i wouldn't own such an expensive one. I definitely give away a lot of them.
Thank you for your question! Our guitars are crafted with meticulous care and high-quality materials, and each instrument takes a significant amount of time and skill to create. This dedication to quality naturally makes them more expensive than mass-produced instruments. We understand that this can make them less accessible to many working musicians which is why we've launched The Artists' Guitar Program, which allows talented musicians to borrow one of our boutique guitars for six months at no cost. This way, we hope to make our instruments more accessible to a wider range of artists, regardless of their financial situation. We'd love to hear your thoughts on this initiative and encourage you to check out the details on our website.
There are plenty of more realistically priced makers around. As fine and beautiful as these guitars are, they are too much of a liability to play and own for most jobbing players.
Bob Marley, one of the best songwriters in modern times, wrote his songs on a cheap Japanese plywood guitar. People who can afford these guitars don´t give a thought on the problems of working people. And they have nothing to say and cannot compose well. They never will, with all their money and super guitars, write like Roger Waters
I love the sound of it
Thank you 🥰

Couldn't agree more, he's so good! Thanks for the kind words about the guitar and program 🙂

I'm just an amateur, but good for you, Rosie. A great opportunity for someone as well as getting your name where it deserves to be.

I sure would of liked to play that acoustic...🎸
If you're based in the UK then please do apply to play it yourself for six months! turnstoneguitar.co.uk/artists-guitar-program
Great idea! Sadly I’m not a professional player!
I play for myself and family and friends!

Professional? It doesn't matter how good you are. My best and first advice was to play for myself.
Videos like this are making me wonder what would be the outcome of a collaboration between Rosie and Michael :-)
Indeed! 👀

Luckily I'm left handed so I didn't even have to read the asterisk to be disappointed.
Haha, well, at least you got a break from reading the fine print! 😅
@@TurnstoneGuitars Beautiful guitar, though. I enjoy your work I just can't help but remind the hobby we exist from time to time ;)

Are your guitars priced for the working musician , or for people with more money than average ???
