I've been work from home since 3 months before the pandemic started. I will NEVER go back to working in an office. I'm just too distractable in an office to be truly productive. I need TH-cam on monitor 2 and nobody bothering me for 10 hours
@@reganoelze I'm a contract writer, and I was able to WFH before (during the pandemic), but I moved to Spain and its super uncommon here. Hard to find jobs in general , so difficult to get exactly what I want on top of it! Totally agree with all your points in the video though, it was amazing before when I had an extra 2+ hours in my day!
I was at the lowest mental point of my life while WFH. I just sat at home all day every day. I mattered to no one and I was basically a machine that no one cared about. I rotted in a room by myself and I was going to continue to rot alone until the day I retired or died.
Working from home is not for everyone. I love not having to wear uncomfortable clothes all day, having to commute long hours to work and eating by myself at the cafeteria while staring at my phone and being disturbed by other people’s noise and gossip while trying to work. It works for me but everyone has different needs
So sorry to hear that you struggled working from home! I hear this a lot too. It's definitely not for everyone and I've noticed I have to put so much more effort into making sure I don't let my social battery run to 0. What about working from a coffee shop??
It definitely takes more effort to socialize when you're WFH, but I have deeper conversations now vs. when I was in the office. I prefer getting to choose who I spend my social energy on, but WFH isn't for everyone!
I hate being in the office. I’m in marketing, most of my job doesn’t require me to be at the office but I work in an old office culture z. It could be the best hybrid job.
@@foodnwords I love that you said this - I had the same experience! I didn't realize how much masking I did until I started to wfh. I'm def team WFH too!!
@@pcstew oooo yes, I lived in the marketing world too and needed complete quiet in order to get my work done. The office was not the place for me 🫠 do you get a flexible work schedule at least??

Working from home is way better for a lot of people, but it's not good for those who want to socialize

Are you a work from home or in office person??
Definitely team WFH, pandemic really broke me out of masking and coping with my ADHD in unhealthy ways!
