Recognized as Jiangsu Province, and Nanjing City's master craftsman-artisan, and also an iconic inheritor of Jiangsu Province's intangible cultural heritage "Velvet flower making technique", Mr Zhao has been making velvet flower for over 40 years. I would love to see more of his work or anyone else's.
Traveling is a good way to educate children. I wish I had the chance to travel when I was young. Now I am 66, and am traveling all over the world. ❤
I am 66 too and is now in a coastal town in Hythe UK, beautiful place and lots of walk and bicycling track. I play Pickleball too.

Hi Miriam, I have actually been trying to learn Chinese and watching your videos has been so helpful because you have the subtitles in both English and Chinese and I can verify the words with the characters to comprehend. Since I have no one to practice with I watch your videos and I can listen, read, and comprehend the conversations. It also helps that you have the subtitles even when speaking English, because I can better comprehend the written language. Sometimes words can be lost in translation so it helps when I hear from both English and Chinese and can still see the subtitles for both.
Now watching your videos has made my studies much more enjoyable as I look forward to deciphering the puzzle while enjoying your story telling. Thank you!

I have really enjoyed the things you showed on your short road trip recently - the pottery, the dying - and I know we will really benefit from all we learn and see in your mini-documentaries. Each town you visit, document what “drives” the town. My home town, Matamata, New Zealand is driven by the dairy industry, tourism (Hobbiton) and horse breeding, training and racing. Very diverse. Finding out about each place you visit that keeps them viable would be vey interesting, sprinkled with a little bit of background history. Looking forward to your big adventure and future vlogs.

My now-husband and I visited Sichuan 12 years ago and one of my favourite experiences was going to 峨眉山 (Emei Mountain). It was so surreal and we stayed overnight at 万年寺 (Wannian Monastery). We were given an option to choose between cheaper and more expensive accommodations - we decided to "splurge" on the more expensive ones and it turned out more luxurious than we could've imagined! I felt a bit guilty that we were given these spacious rooms while the monks at the monastery must have had more cramped and simple spaces. It was such an experience to share dinner and breakfast with them at 5 AM.

Congratulations on your project. Even if it's not exactly on the areas you mentioned I would like to recommend the Wulingyuan rural area close by one of the entrances to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The traditional wood houses are lovely and the illuminated bridge over the river at night is beautiful. Not to mention the park, if you are in the area definitely worth a visit.
