By far the best review iv seen for the z632
Just to let you all know, the speaker with the amplifier goes on the left hand side. I couldn't work out why my music was sounding funny so I checked the balance and sure enough left was right and right was left. What I did to fix it was I just swapped the speakers over and the music sounds great. Hope this helps someone.

Got my Z625 last week - holy crap they are amazing for what they are. Unfortunately I live in an apartment and really can't stretch the legs on it (the bass is incredible), but I was pretty blown away with how good this little setup is.

Wow, I had to re-watch your Klipsch video and hear the difference over the net. I agree with you about the energy usage 100%. In full disclosure, you need to know I have been using the Klipsch 5 to one system for at least 20 years, though it has been off for the last 5 years because I have given up on having the electronics in the sub-woofer repaired every time I turn around. I realize I am not explaining myself as clearly as I could but I would need to write pages of variations I have used to keep the Klipsch system running. To give you an idea, I've run the system through an extremely expensive and powerful UPS system trying to keep the Klipsch from blowing out, and every scheme I have attempted to use failed and it was a shame because the 5 to 1 Klipsch system put all the other computer audio systems down, no compromise. The problem with the Klipsch 5 to 1 system was keeping it from blowing out. There is a fellow on eBay who has dedicated his whole existence to repairing the sub-woofers electronics for $100 a pop. Today, I can't find him any longer. So, but, if you re-watch your own video and mind you, you didn't even set the system up properly. The sub-woofer NEEDS to be on the floor, preferably in a corner for the system to sound properly. Then the satellite speakers will sound right. Please by the THX system again. Set it as you know it should be and I am sure you will be blown away. Klipsch makes a certain sub-woofer that is what they call BASH. Amazon also sells another 2.1 THX Klipsch computer system for $239.99, this system will be using a BASH type of sub-woofer. You are getting me excited all over again and if it was me trying to do this again? I would attempt to put a small pre-amp or small amp on the two satellite speakers. Hmm, I'm thinking of ways I could get away with spending all this money without the wifey getting all bent out of shape on me. But yeah I am sure you would be impressed. Talk to me tell me what you think. the glorious sound you got in the other video is gone in this one.
Yeah, i saw the mentioned Klipsch video. He didn't have a proper setup of the speakers by placing the sub where it needs to be ...on the floor. Even for this Logitech video. I did a agree the Klispch needs an auto-shotoff, and not just guzzling energy when its unused. I don't own the Klipsch, but do remember the days of seeing them in the early 2000s in CompUSA.
I have had my Z5500 for a long time now. The Logitech z5500 is the best PC speaker system. the sub from that system is a monster.

Listening the sound of z265 through a Klipsch Promedia 2.0 (coz mine the sub is broken). Damn, after more than a decade this Klipsch Promedia 2.1 still sounds great and I think this Logitech z265 is the closest choice for replacing it

Don't have the 625's but have the 623's. Identical but no optical input. Used exclusively for my desktop setup. Music and movies. I've had this setup for 4 years, bought on sale for 120.00 CDN. I have to add to the chorus here as imho, there is ZERO out there for anywhere close to the full retail price point which offers the sound and value these do. I got itchy to look at upgrading, and went with a 5 1/4 inch bookshelf setup, integrated with a 10" sub = total kit. My humble 623's sound to my ears just as good. Just incredible value here = I have no understanding of how Logitech pulled this off, but the designers for these things deserve huge kudo's. There is a reason these are still around and doing great. Long may they reign. Quick note on the Klipsch, never tried those as you can only do an aux cable in. I've got a DAC which gives me the USB output to RCA, and sounds fantastic on it's own. Never tried them for that reason as it was a deal breaker. Sazzad, thanks for sharing your thoughts on these, really well done. :-)
I heard this at Best buy and I really did kind of dig it for what it is and for the price and I was thinking maybe I should just go with that to hook up my little bookshelves system or computer or mp3 player and so forth .. I decided to just go with something else but... Maybe in the future I'll get it just for my computer.
With a good sound card this will sound even better.
I just bought these Speakers have volume on like 55% and switching between 15% to 32% on PC with Keyboard scroll that's perfect. Bass on speakers is on about 60% just bought them so don't wanna stress it too much to soon. And using FXsound Software on Gaming sound :)

DAAAAAAMN! I just picked this up from Best Buy, installed it and am glad I did not spend $200+ dollars on some monitors/desk-speakers (without) the amp. This here is a MAJOR upgrade from my Bose speakers. I really do feel the low end in my chair and under my feet. The mid and treble is perfectly balanced. No humming sound what-so-ever coming from these speakers. To those of you who claim this, try to not let your wires in the back touch other wires. This was an easy fix with some other speakers I use to have. But these speakers are perfect. Real talk, and I got them for just $130.00. WOW My Itunes music is like I'm in a studio. Cant wait to play a good movie like Transformers or some other FX film. This is what U need for your PC guys.

When trying to use the optical connection on my tv all I hear is a beeping sound every few seconds but no actual audio from the tv. Any tips/ideas on how to fix this? Aux connection works fine
I've got these speakers connected to my Mac Mini M1. These things are amazing. Love the bass. Play the THX sound clip from the movie theater and you'll be blown away.

box goes through shipping with other packages. and through a warehouse with other packages.... just cause the box is scratched up doesn't mean its damaged or used.... your package isn't the only package in the world being shipped to you. its tossed in with the rest of the stuff people buy and some times thrown into the truck.

Great video. I'm listening on my brand new Edifier r1700bts which sound great but I'm thinking of returning because there's hardly any bass and I don't want to spend another $200 on subwoofer. I like that the Edifier has a remote however. Thanks for the energy comparison compared to Klipsch. A bit concerned about the lack of tweeter.

I think if ur looking for 2.1 setup, then logitech z625 make sense and it's at a good price range, energy efficient, and gives lots of power!

They are awesome speakers but be careful because when I had mine at high bass and volume, it didn’t take long for the sub to get smelly. This happened on mine and my buds. I guess the amp pushes to much power? Maybe?

What Analog/Optical? They have the Logitech Z623 with Analog only. Is the optical cable something that plugs into the computer or is it something audio people use?
Ya if ur computer has optical output then u could use it to connect ur speakers if your speakers also has optical input

If i use a sound card decent on my pc instead of using pc's built in realtek hd audio from gigabyte h81m motherboard, can i get a better sound quality music playback while using logitech z623 ?
The trick is that when you use OPTICAL your sound goes in as digital form, so if you have optical output on your Realtek audio chip, it will sound exactly the same. This is the beauty of going all-digital - even cheap sound card will produce excellent sound on Z625, but you must use optical.

So I currently own the z623 for about 5 years, I think I may have blown the left speaker. I came across the Klipsch ProMedia but from your video that's a no. However, I also saw the Edifier M3600D that's also THX certified like the other two. Can you review? I may just end up buying back the Z623.
Did you notice any smell from the sub? What volume and bass was ur z623's at? Myne is around 70% volume and 75% and then i smell a little like burning so i turn it down and it seems fine, got them 2 days ago.

Yep, gotta get up every time.. tv remote won't work when using optical.. but with rca connection you can ;) - your tv may have an option for 'variable' audio output
Oh man that sucks! I have the z623 so when I saw this has an optical I was just HOPING vol control would sync. I guess I’ll have to wait, I love Logitech sound it would be amazing if they come out with a sound bar with a wireless sub

What is the best format when connected to ps4 pro via optical toslink cable? PCM or bitstream aac? as these don't support bitstream dts or dolby 😢 if i choose PCM will that subwoofer work as i heard pcm only produce lossless 2 channel audio

Hi, thanks for the question. I didn't experience any electrical noise during my test. Sadly, I don't have these speakers anymore to tell you about long term usage. However, from long term experience with other Logitech speakers, I can say they make great products.
Noise only comes from 3.5mm analog cable. Just use optical cable and there will be perfect crisp audio.

When you connect using optical cable, u can't control volume using ur TV, but if you connect using RCA cable, and set ur tv to 'variable' then u can increase/decrease volume using tv remote

Having issues connecting my speakers to my Samsung TV. My tv is like new and there’s nothing wrong with it. Even when I go to settings to chance they output to optic/ speakers it doesn’t do nothing I just get a loud beep noise from the speakers

350db are a great 2.1 setup, although they cost twice as much... Hmmm 🤔 I'd still default to the Logitech Z625 because I wouldn't want to pay close to $400 on a 2.1 setup. I think the Logitechs will provide me with plenty of performance and satisfaction, plus that z623/625 sub is outstanding! Very strong!

had these for over a year now and all I have to say is they kick ass, I upgraded from the logitech z323 though, so a pretty unfair comparison but I dont regret it at all.
Did you use optical cable? If not try it and let us know for next video and did it more quality sound or still the same like not use optical cable. I think everyone want to know about this especially for those who want to buy this speaker
got this speaker pair today after viewing so many reviews to replace my 15 year old creative t6060 5.1 system. but I'm disappointed with the audio quality. this is no way near my old creative system when comparing the sound clarity. most of the highs and mids are missing when playing music
I think you are noticing the difference between 5.1 and 2.1, one had dedicated speakers for all the frequency range vs a simple 2.1 setup. Loved those good old Creative 5.1 setup, I use to have a set of Altec Lensing ;)
@@sazzad_hossain.s the creative front speakers have a separate tweeter. may be thats why the clarity. my 5.1 setup is working perfectly but thought of reducing some speakers to get some table space. now having some second thoughts.

But now I'm interested in being able to listen to my vinyls with a headphone. Do you have any amps you recommend? Like the bt20a but with a headphone jack? @@guillaumes9524 Hmmmm, something else would be, if you are using Analog Out (3.5mm) from your turntable then maybe you can split that into two with a Y splitter, one split can go to your current amp that powers your speakers, and the other can go to your headphone... but you have to make sure your headphones can play music directly from the turntable, if not, then you need a DAC... Amps with headphone out, check out Lepai LP1601S, Dayton Audio DTA-120BT2, Fosi Audio T20 Tube Amp

Yeah, ps5 will carry audio via hdmi to ur monitor, then connect the speakers using 3.5mm cable to ur monitor output 👍

Hmmm, I would go for the 1280dbs since it will let me hook up any subwoofer of my choice and wouldn't force me into using only one, I feel the 1280 are more balanced

Its easy to add wireless Bluetooth, just buy usb 3.5mm jack.. you're done..even my old creative Cambridge sound work speaker have Bluetooth now

Yes, Klipsch 2.1 are very harsh with tweeters. Z625 sounds very balanced and smooth.

These could be used as far superior sound bars for tv's in a living room if the satellites weren't such a cheap plastic pc speaker in a spare room design.
They would sell way more of them if they considered their use in other environments because their sound to price ratio blows 99% of everything else out of the water..

Z623 and Z625 are going to be very similar with exception to different connections in the back. Power and spesker wise, it's the same.

I'm thinking about buying this but have a 500w +80 power supply. Would this 400w sound system hurt my pc or handle it.
Just to help out , i know its an old comment, the speakers have a dedicated connection to ur wall socket, so the pc specs besides sound card dont matter😁

Place it under your desk facing the wall in the corner. Your bass will shake your house. Z625 are amazing.
the "THX" labels on the 2 satellite speakers are actually cleverly concealed front facing ports making the entire system "open air". Which is one of the things audiophiles like to see in systems. an interesting note on the plasticky feel and look on the satellite speakers is that with proper acoustic treatment and tuning from the factory, plastic or wood should be more of a superficial preference... we live in 2024... gone are the days of fisher speakers that run on 20 watts and somehow manage to get satisfyingly loud... gone are the days of needing to start the music low so u don't blow the speakers... "looks" cheap does not mean it "sounds" cheap... the audio industry has developed ways to make plastic and wood speakers sound almost exactly the same... but the stigma of plastic has become a self-fulfilling prophecy in a way... because of an ignorant consumer base(we're all ignorant about something, I'm not trying to sound like I'm not) that hates plastic because plastic = cheap, companies are forced to produce wood cabinets for their products, which 1: makes them cost more and 2: fuels the pretext that plastic = cheap and wood = luxury... we have the law of differences... plastic speakers would cost 150 to produce... premium wood speakers would cost 250 to produce... that's a 100 dollar difference.. and there's no guarantee one sounds better than the other...
It is a good speaker, however, I bought Altec Lansing with almost the same specification and RMS, but Altec is much cheaper than (almost half of) this Z625.
Play something low on the altec Lansing. You'll clearly notice that the altec Lansing struggles a lot

Just on pure audio, I would say yes.. having a dedicated sub does make a difference on how the low/mids/highs are distributed in a 2.1 setup.

When I search online about best computer speakers, tons of options were given like Edifier, studio monitors etc etc. My needs are, thumping bass, clear stereo separation for watching action movies on my computer. Do you recommend this z625 for me? Or is there any better options?
