Same, I found Falcom from randomly browsing recommended on Steam and seeing Ys Oirigin. I asked a friend about it and they said they played it on a friend's computer and LOVED it, so I bought it. I liked it so much for the first time on Steam I looked into the publisher's other games and found Trails in the Sky FC. And it barreled from there. xD
Honestly these kind of tracks let me have hope for the non-turnbased games that will be coming in the future, if these are the kinda tracks that will be accompanying me on that journey, then any game will be fine.

get over the barrier is the best title for a video game song ever. i love this games premise to death and it's main battle theme perfectly encompasses it. this song feels like a love letter to all of that. it's beautiful
Amazing usage of song when things come full swing in Ao. You hear bits and pieces of get over the barrier in different renditions, and then THAT fight happens and it's full force. Amazing amazing time.

Doubt it. The localization for Sky was way too late, the Crossbell arc is way past and now XSEED will focus on getting CS3 next year, and hopefully CS4 later. It'd make 0 sense to go back to Zero & Ao after that.
I agree with you Spectrea, but with the schedule being too delayed by the time they tackled Sky, XSEED probably had no choice but to focus on Cold Steel. I played fan translation and really wished to get that great quality as well, but I'll just take what's given to me without complaining too much. Looking forward to CS3 announcement next year.
you can either wait for ages or simply play the Fan TL that is not on par with xseed quality yet perfectly understandable, i actully didn't give a damn since english is a foreign language to me
Geofront's Ao will finally be here today. I hope all the people who have yet to play that masterpiece are ready to face every in their way! I believe that you all won't give up until you see the truth with your own eyes.
Absolutely something to be said about Geofront's translations but you can't argue the quality of life improvements and the ease of access. Regardless, Ao is very special to me and one of my all time favourite JRPGs so I'm just glad more people can enjoy it.
You can get the game Translate if you search you don`t have to wait for it to get localized. just get an emulator and the Rom where the Englisch Patch is in the game. I got it this way. :) (sry for my bad english)
This music really fits against Arios since the very beginning SSS real goal was to surpass Arios which is the major barrier that they must overcome... really I like the Zero/Ao Cast better..
Its the 4th game in the Trails/Kiseki series. If you're into JRPGs I highly reccomend giving the series a shot. I'd reccomend starting with Trails in the Sky though, which is on steam (along with most of the other games) The story and characters are phenomenal and the soundtrack to every game is great.

I guess it's due to Lloyd's burning heart effect, rather than an actual battle aura. In a way, one could say that Lloyd's is an imitation of what real battle auras are like in this series, like Sara's which has no drawbacks, nor requires her to constantly chug CP to prevent them.
Vs. Ario MacLaine The Divine Blade of Wind & the Zero Car Chase was fantastic use of this song! Now I just wait for this song to be used in Lloyd Bannings possible Smas6 Trailer.

How's the Ao no Kiseki experience? Did the plot twists make your mouth agape in shock? Did you waste 120+ hours playing it and 80% of that time was talking to NPCs?
@Tráng Đinh Công Can't deny the plot was pretty good, I just finished Ao. Well, about a couple hours ago. However some points were a little bit predictable... Might also be that I beat both Sen no Kiseki games first and I'm waiting for the Third to be ported to PCs, so I was already aware of some parts of the plot. Not too many of them though... *Pats Renne in the background...*

Now I love the entire Kiseki series as a whole, though I remain conflicted about which I'd rather be: Crossbellan like Lloyd, or Erebonian like Rean. I'll gladly wait a bit longer for Sen 3, but the wait is killing me.
Call me crazy, but this song has a stronger impact when it plays in Trails of Zero than when it does in Trails of Azure (Yeah I'm being vague to avoid the spoilers, just in case)
Yeah, you’re crazy. It had a bigger impact in Ao, especially when you fight you know who on nightmare mode. And without the evade trick and no new game+. 😵

I'm not saying that it doesn't make sense for it to play in Ao in the part that it does. In fact, I think it was a very clever decision from the devs to use it in that specific moment of Ao, but it just didn't feel the same for me as when the scene from Zero started playing with that song. The hype wasn't the same. I didn't get the same feeling I got when, say, you fight a certain someone in Sky SC and Silver Will starts playing. But again, it's probably just me

The SSS just has an insane level of cohesion that the other casts can’t compete against. 4 people, with one unit, one cause, and one barrier to overcome

Since A is the barrier the SSS wanted to overcome since the beginning of the Crossbell arc, it's impact is much stronger in Azure
