When composers put their entire heart into a track, you get bangers like this. Protecting KeA and the IBC while being outnumbered, and finally earning the respect of Grace and Cao was one of my favorite moments in Trails games. You really feel like everything is at stake. Love it
This playing while your defending the bank going up against waves of enemies while other npcs are watching and giving encouragement and then randy getting pissed and powering up was just so awesome.
"I promise you this, Special Support Section, I'll make this the best scoop in history. Please, LIVE through this so you can see the fruits of your efforts!" Man, i nearly teared up with Grace's encouragement, and fired me up even more. That whole sequence was phenomenal beyond words
I went into Zero no Kiseki just thinking, I'll play these because I really like the series. This SSS seems weird (played Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 first). Over the course of the game I grew to like Randy more and more, and then this song and this event at IBC made me just love these characters so much more than I thought I would.
"I don't think anything will come close to Silver Will or Overdosing Heavenly Bliss..." *Inevitable Struggle hook hits* "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YES"
That fight in Mishelam for KeA with this song on the background is just fantastic! I can't describe how motivated and nervous I felt during that fight because I really felt my life was in risk
The moment this first started playing during my first playthrough of Zero, I realised something; Falcom music is truly special. What a glorious track. Words fail to describe just how much of a masterpiece this track is. It's something that you truly have to experience in-game to realise how special it is. And even after all the times the theme has been arranged, nothing even comes close to the original, just like Silver Will. This is a track that has that "legendary" status so many songs try to capture, and will go down in history as one of Falcom's finest.
Just started on this game recently and the music in this game is amazing! I'm at chapter 4 and I have searched up the OST so many times to listen to while doing work already.
That IBC raid has to be one of the best moments in Trails games, and a lot of it has to do with this track. Charged me up real good and made me feel like I was right there with the SSS.
@@ectjr Even then CS3 is inferior and only get good in it's last part, CS4 is pretty good tough. Honnestly I think it's pretty telling when it takes CS, 3 all games to really get me invested (altough I did like CS2 and CS3's ending) while with Zero I was invest in the story and characters almost right away (and I started the series by Cold Steel just so we are clear). Zero is I feel the best first game among the 3 arcs, it introduce the character and setting well but still has a good story and good character development that are just more well paced (not perfect mind you), compare to Cold Steel 1 and Sky 1 which are games that bored me to death and that I never want to suffer through them again, I actually wouldn't mind playing Zero again.
too bad it got ruined by the fact that if you're playing anything but easy or normal, you have to shamelessly backtrack to your cell to get healed after every fight, they really needed to just full heal you after every fight, it woul've made that segment way better.
@@applewind9318 My first playthrough was on hard and i had to do the walk of shame after thinking i could just brute force 1 extra fight. Regret indeed.
Inevitable Struggle is definitely one of the most emotional tracks in Trails- or really any piece of media I have consumed. It really drives home the *struggle* S.S.S has to go through in order to achieve the results that they strive so hard for. This track plays around three times, against Garcia, defending IBC against nearly the entire Crossbell army, and against Joachim. Each instance is incredibly powerful, each signify the significance and urgency of the situation at hand.
1:05 finishing off "yin" with a tiger charge with starting that S-craft here, it's such a badass feel when you time hits fitting the specific moment of these tracks
I was fortunate enough to have played these already but it's a little sad that while OST videos for Trails in the Sky and Cold Steel are filled with English comments, Zero and Ao ones get no love (yet). Hoping they get localised soon so I can have more English-speaking friends to discuss the game with. :)
Well there is a leaked english patch for Zero and a spreadsheet for Ao translating the full main story with some sidequests. In another other words both games are playable in english now...not the best quality but its something.
If there's one thing I sorely missed from Zero while playing Azure, it was the impactful sense of desperation throughout 1:05 - 1:55. The fact that it was dumbed down and basically left completely nonexistant in the arrange really took away from those tight moments during the major bosses compared to the times it played in Zero.
