Matt, you know I'm a newer subscriber and I'm catching up on your previous videos. I can figure out what you do for a living, but you seem to have a lot of knowledge on engines, heavy equipment, welding and a vision for building things such as the container you built for someone. I'm wondering about your background and how you learned your many skills. I think others might think the same. Maybe you can do a short video telling about how you learned so much for a young fellow. My Grandfather was a heavy equipment driver back in the 1950's and 60's in Florida and learned by doing. I Guess that's why I like your videos. You take time to explain and actually show your viewers how it's done.👍
Howdyyawl from the land down under. Not too shabby for a one man band. Its reasonably easy to lay the sheet when its not windy or raining. Reverse spreading is not easy. Your doing a good job at it. Thanks for sharing .😊

There is something very satisfying about a straight line cut through trees, and woodland edge, of which two have now been created is amongst the best habitat for all sorts of critters, as opposed to dense woodland - or open pasture. And it makes for great access too. Looking at these trees either this land was cropped regular for timber, or more likely it was open pasture not so long ago, and this is just regrowth? I've done my share of clearing derelict woodland and it benefits the trees to have clear air around them - long term. Not sure how these specimens will react - I guess some won't make it, but some will grow on into fine trees. And we need the timber for now. The binge watch continues.
I do but it’s still a ton of work, makes me wonder how our forefathers ever managed to clear fields the way they did! Thanks for watching, hope you subscribe!

They came with shovels in hand, a wagon and a team of horses and spent several days digging around that stump, to get the "good wood" for gun stocks. You are also missing that indoor farm's reduce oxygen, and increase carbon dioxide by 3 time's.
It's all about how high these gases get into the atmosphere. There are benefits to a little bit of everything in life... But a lot of a few causes huge issues.
Don't forget that trees also store all sorts of nasty things dissolved in water.
The argument isn't about just one thing, it's numinous, this man has contact with hundreds of tree's and his answer is always to burn. He is wrong, very wrong... That volume has local and global issues. There are other ways, and different ways of making money. Other people in his field on TH-cam show them and make money doing it. About time numb nuts here, got with the program and leave his 40yr old opinions back in history.
You also need to learn about the several natural systems that rely on dead wood, for marring, food, soil matrix, water retention, being just a few sub headings.
Modern forestry do not burn trees, its a waste of a major resource.
@@tomwaters86 methane that is trapped in huge quantities is a problem, slow release isn't. The worst issue and a major concern / time bomb, is Siberia. Ice has kept a lid on it for a few hundred years. Sure you have seen the ignition of ice bubbles, mystery of massive holes appearing hundreds of miles away from man... The structure of soil is 5 to 10 metres of rotting vegetation, frozen in time. Bottom of lakes so deep methane is compressed and trapped as a solid. The number's are mind blowing, and will cause a global threat to life if released together... Or just that one huge lake, open flame and BOOM.
I hope they are work on the problem, but in this climate who knows right.
There is a global event that will kill us all, about 20 odd. All we can do is not add to it, and hopefully there is wiggle room because people recycled, used methane from rubbish dumps to make electricity and so on.
China isn't doing it, so why should l... That's isn't an argument, not anymore.
Why have you junk and machinery at so many different places ....? Wouldn't be better to concentrate everything ....? Get your workshop fully organized and made bigger by extending the roofs ...? what do you say dear friend ...?
My preschool grandkids love the channel but I prefer to have them watch Andrew Camarata because he never uses potty words. Rarely a few slip out with you. Letsdig18 slips a few in when frustrated as well. We still watch both of you when the kids grandkids aren't here.
I would love to tell you what you are doing wrong, but I'm not a real youtuber. Lol. Best of luck!
Edited to add...please be very careful with that chainsaw. We want you to be able to put out more videos.
Haha thank you for your support! Subscribing helps keep the videos coming
