Just imagine being one the actors that get to wear the suit. Such a childhood dream to be in a futuristic armor/suit while feeling awesome and cool arrghhhh I WANT ONE!
My only issue with that movie is that Cherno Alpha and Crimson died waaay to fast and easy. I was expecting Cherno to literally smash atleast 2 Kaijus before going down fighting.
@@pierodaniel8530 true cerno alpha major strength was its armor but the burned through it and crimsion Tyhppon was his head body was extremely well armored but still get his he is defenseless striker eureka was EMP which Is good counter measure for jaggers
In the original, each Jager was unique right down to the suits. Uprising, lets make each Jager a different color but have a unique weapon. Oh and child size suits.
Why did it take me so long to find this channel?! Friggin loved this movie and I can't wait to see if Legacy Effects will have in store for Legendary Picture's 2014 Godzilla re-boot :-DDD
The sequel suits look decent in my opinion, they just don't have that distinction and different styles like the 1st movie. I was worried that they would look like plasticky Halloween costumes, and I was wrong actually, they do have a finished metal look to them, but not done in the same way as the 1st movie like I said.
I'm so enamored with the complexity of the armor alone... This special fabric for the flex areas, was it actually suitable as a conductor (such as this conductive silver material from a google search) or did you folks bust out something totally unique and proprietary? \ I love and envy what you all have done here... Can only dream of being on a crew like that.
I thought so too.. but it didn't seem linked to anything.. I mean its a unique piece, it doesn't look like it has any spot to be linked to Gipsy Danger's system. I don't think they had "cables" or anything else attacched to their spine during the film.
God I want to work for legacy so bad. Or just something like that...practical effects are such a lost art nowdays...and seeing the engineering insanity they did with Pacific Rim and the cockpits is just...it's the ultimate nerd gasm.
The Cherno Alpha Suits clearly dont look anything like steampunk...it rather fits in the Cyberpunk setting considering what Gibson said about early russian cyberware

I can't imagine it was super comfortable but yes much badass
@@cabnbeeschurgr you can get it on eBay
The spine was a practical effect? Well, color me impressed!
IKR! I had no idea either.
I'll be dammed. This movie is truly masterpiece
this made me adore the entirety of Pacific Rim 1 more than i used to.

I concur.

Cherno Alpha is my favorite :(
the feature is the "MatchMaker" brush. It allows you to conform the current sub-tool to the contour of the objects underneath.
Thank you! i have been wondering this for years
Imagine wearing this while riding a freakin motorcycle that would be so AWESOME!!!!!!
+Paul Ramos You'd look like a souped up Power Ranger lol
Superstanz UN
Or in a fitness studio
You mean like the last Robocop? DUH...
The suits were unfortunately downgraded in Uprising.
Unlike uprising, The 1st movie matches the Jaeger as well as Age,
Uprising made the suits more lighter and more flexible and less complex
Yup
@@nobpyxl5389 and lamer
uprising downgraded everything
I would love to have one of those suits
MAN, THOSE SUITS ARE JUST AS BEAUTIFUL AS THE JEAGERS THEMSELVES
That is some beautiful practical effects work and it looked amazing in the film.
Wow who would have thought it's not CGI!?Amazing job!
Attention to details in del Toro movies is just unmatchable.
that spine is really amazing!
WOW,, I thought that the spine was cg,,, because it looks so amazing,, this is awesome!!!
Nice to see that there is a lot of craftsman`s work and not all is a CG in the actual movies.
I want to have my own suit. I was thinking that was the coolest looking sci-fi movie armor in years.
OMG OMG, this is amazing! Awesome! The suits are beautiful!
I really love that Shark ranger-ish black helmet behind him in the background.
These really are beautiful sculptures.
Really impressive stuff,
I really respect the work you guys put in this movie :)
I want a real life working jaeger
If only kaiju sized animal exist :(

The spine is really cool, but in the end what do they need it for? Does it have a purpose? Like helping the drift or anything?
Amazing work! Congratulations!
GREAT JOB LEGACY EFFECTS
Pacific rim suits: Proper body armour and futuristic tech.
Uprising suits: Pyjamas

I hope they get inspiration from the American remake, it was decent (godzilla parts) thet actors and their parts weren't so nice
i think it helped link the suit up with the Jaegar
Nice, cheers. Grats on the effects. Pacific Rim is how a giant monster and robot film SHOULD be done. Take note Mr Bay
I love the 'spine'.
the sequel suits look like trash
Rhys Clark Film & Media atleast the uprising's suits are better than those of DCEU's Flash costume

But i like uprising
The helmets are awesome
now I want one!
We waiting PACIFIC RIM 3
Actually those are not all the materials used. There are many other technologies and beta materials that were utilized in our RP technology.
Cool!
So much work for a good movie

Great job, amazing.
He suit that they had Marshal wear was very similar to the Crysis nanosuits.
o man...this is the best movie i've seen..the suits & special effects was pretty amazing...its look real...i hate Kaiju..lol..
epic! what a epic costume.
The Jaeger cockpit is the most brutal and amazing visceral experience unfortunately the uprising version ruined it
most awesome job in the world, How come people said art major is hard to get a job?
We used sub-micro hobby servos
they got the concept from the old 80's movie" Robot Jox" but with aliens this time as opponents!
Where would I be able to find shots of the lower back of the Kaidanovskys' suits?
0:28 that needs to be a halo suit
I didn't know Legacy Effects has a TH-cam account! Well, time to subscribe! Weeee!
I know, so I! One more reason to love this film.
because crimson typhoon was my absoulute favorite
This is amazing!!!
Awesome!
How interesting.
Indeed.
I want a suit .... very cool
I want one of these suits!!!
I want all of them!
SO damn COOL!!!
Matchmaker
The suit design in Uprising is a *massive* downgrade! Just like everything else in it
I don't necessarily agree with that, but uprising does not have the same things as the original movie, it still worked in my opinion though

What Zbrush brush is that at 0:30? it looks so useful
At the 30 sec mark. Does anyone how how the emblem of the eagle is curved to the shoulder piece?
Eric Ruffalo I would like to know this too. First time I saw this video about a year ago Aswell I started to seek for this tool... plus uno.
Some very familiar with the manufacturing process
What feature was used to conform the wing design to the shoulderplate?
What kind of fabric did the suits use?
What was the light blue colour mould (liquid) you showed at 1:05 ? Any brand available for personal or scientific use ?
Super. I want to work in legasy Effects!
Out of curiosity, what did you use then?
most of guillermo's films were mixed practical effects and cgi
like pan's labyrinth and hell boy
How very perceptive, Watson :)
mi sueño es trabajar aquí!! esto es fabuloso!! :)
Did you use real carbon fiber in the american suits?
If so what type of lay up did you use? infusion or prepreg?
FUCKING AMAZING!!!
The pilot suit in this movie look like real armor. The suit in second movie look like spandex with plastic on it
you guys have th best jobb! im so yelly =)
it looked like they were using xsi and zbrush
See above what? I'd also like to know about this technique, thanks
Were the suits created in 3ds Max then opened in zbrush?
how much does it cost or order one of these?
We didn't use carbon fiber on the suits.
Cool cool cool cool cool! SO cool! ;)

above where? I am looking for the brush name
I would pay $80000 for the Australian suit

Makes me think of HALO armor.
I cant find the White Et's vídeo. The one at the "Subscribe to Our TH-cam Channel" window at the end of the vídeo. Can You help me?
How much did the Russian suit cost to fabricate? I've been searching everywhere on having one made.
How much those it cost to make a suite?
Can you make Pacific Rim 2 Movie?
