  • Today we take a look at Makita, 7 Hortonwood 7, Telford TF1 7YX.
We have a chat to the gatehouse who didnt have his SIA Licence on show and then go back to the public footpath to take the drone around.
We are then approached by a few members of staff, one of which flys a drone but is unaware of the rules surronding 249g drones.
We mention the guys on the roof and question whether it was safe but nobody wanted to talk about this.
    Enjoy!

@@eliz9369Of course, all religion is social control by the haves to control the have nots.
There'll always be more have nots than haves so the only way to stop them taking your stuff whilst getting them to work like dogs for you is religion.
If you read the ten commandments in that light it all falls into place. From the point of view of the haves "Thou shalt not kill, steal etc."
Religion solves the thoughtcrime problem. How do you reach inside people's heads, under their duvets? Easy, you invent the omnipresent watcher. How do you get people to work like dogs for next to nothing? Simple, you tell them that if they work until they drop them all their rewards come after their death.
I think the last one is the most heinous con trick ever played on humans.
But, religion is fast becoming an old person's hobby and it'll fade as the congregations age and die.
They'll try, of course. Having all that control must've been nice and it won't be relinquished without a fight.
But it's nothing like the force it once was...

The chap in the green waistcoat (Nigel) made a fool of himself and the company. He seemed too arrogant and self assured, despite being inept - walking away rudely when DJ was being very polite and informing him of the situation. His attitude towards the staff on the roof that DJ pointed out was concerning for such a large company. The back up guy (Richard?) in the blue shirt liked to hear himself talk. They simply had no idea as to the drone laws but seemed to try to get DJ to back off, unsuccessfully. DJ definitely 'won them over' and they will be licking their wounds if they watch the video - a massive own goal and missed opportunity. Fantastic - textbook material 10/10

Mark Smith - Nigel came out, believing He actually could intimidate D.J. With some B.S. drone talk, which made absolute nonsense, however, when D.J. set Him straight, and showed Him, exactly what the rules, regulations, and restrictions were, He still, argued 🤔
So D,J., had little other recourse than too tell Him, that He had also caught several SAFETY VIOLATIONS, with the guys not having harness’ on, and the SECURITY GUARD, breaking the LAW, by NOT WEARING, and readily displaying His SECURITY GUARD I.D. 😅👍🏼
This Company was DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE, AND CONDESCENDING.

it _is_ crazy that on the same day, in the same hour you can get someone yelling and calling the cops, but a hundred yards down the road they invite you and do a tour. i've said this before i've been to japan a couple of times and anyone you encounter would die of shame if they couldn't help, especially a company rep. it seems the only way to change people's attitudes is to argue with them until they embarrass themselves.

I wonder more and more often what would ACAS say about that? no respect for people, no respect for their families. the employee is unfortunately a slave and property of this company. why Makita has a problem with people? because Makita doesn't ask questions. Makita doesn't listen to people. sometimes it is enough to be human to another person and treat them as yourself.
I'm glad he doesn't work there. there were some managers and supervisors who really showed interest. I admire these few people and feel sorry for them because they too are being ignored by Makita.
it is very trendy in this company to treat the employee as a thing. this company is breaking so many employee rights that I'm shocked myself
