Vulkan ended the beast's threat, for a time, then it came back, and there were 5 others. The war of the beast was weird.

The War of the Beast was an interesting idea and started well. However; I think that, among other things, they were overwhelmed by the rule of cool and added things that sounded good on paper, but not so good in reality.
Ended up not sounding so good on paper, too, given that 40k's reality *is* on paper.

Gork and Mork don't give things for free? They just handed Gazgul a space hulk full of demons to crump. That's only a trial for *other* species. For orks, that's a *bonus.*
Also, saying he pulled an Abaddon is a bit unfair. While calling it a "win" is a stretch, Gazgul *did* get valuable intel and a tactical retreat to regroup for a second round is a legitimate strategy. Rather more thinky than expected from an ork, but legitimate. And totally different from Abaddon going "I meant to do that" when his temper tantrum managed to break the galaxy in half.

11:15 to be fair, Ghazghul and the orks (unlike chaos and Abbadon) see losing as a chance to try again, so it doesn’t really count.

Our ork player was an old 70’s punk that had over 20 years sober at the time with eldar tattoos and biomechanics up both arms
1) I thought Ragnar was a chapter master equivalent, considering the Space Wolves non-codex organization
2) Helbrecht is also Ghazghkull’s rival and he’s also a chapter master equivalent. Actually, considering that the Black Templars are at least triple the size of a regular chapter, that makes being the High Marshal an even bigger deal.
I wonder if Vulkork is part of the ragnarork.

He may not yet be at Krork level, but Ghazghkull is approaching that level. His growth will accelerate the growth of more Orks, both nearby and across the Galaxy. More Orks will grow large, form warbands and try to take on Ghazghkull, only to get beaten down. These large Orks would join him, making him grow larger and they in turn, and expanding the potency of the Galaxy wide influence. Ad infinitum, and you will one day have the return of the Krorks.
And the Krorks are a deadly threat, one because they are literally Space Marine Orks of the Old Ones, two because they are sophisticated enough to potentially build make organised empires and invent on their own initiative. The Eldar, at their prime and with the unwitting usefulness of the Enslaver Plague leaching at psychic energies, took such measures to break the back of the Krorks due to jealousy and the threat their disowned sibling species presented to their own Galactic dominance. You could say that the Eldar, and perhaps the Necrontyr/Necrons before them, are the origin of all this species hate and genocide.
Between him and the orks "stuck" in constant battle with a tyranid hive fleet (thanks, Kryptman), the galaxy is set up to be a fungal fantasy.
@@brigidtheirish Admittedly, being checked by a Hive Fleet would keep the Orks in line and slow down the Hive Fleet. Irony is, its two creations of the Old Ones beating each other over the head until the end of time. That is, unless Ghazghkull obtains enough strength to sweep in and destroy the Hive Fleet before assimilating the massively expanding Orks in the area with the breathing room allowed. So if it comes down to it, I think Kryptman is a lesser evil in the face of Eldrad Fucking Ulthran.
@@darkinnovator2479 Assuming the Old Ones made the nids. And *eventually* one is going to wipe out the other. Kryptman only delayed a problem while also making it *worse.*
@@brigidtheirish Its a popular theory, and one I prefer to them just coming from elsewhere because it asks far too many questions. And sadly, that is how the Imperium is at the time. It doesn't wipe out problems; it is constantly in a proportionate response, kick the problem down the road, kinda deal.
Kryptman was punished for the excessive way he got this delayed situation, that otherwise would have been acceptable losses if they had been significantly lesser. But the clear madness and radicalism probably did get some moderate and puritan Inquisitors thinking.
And I gotta pass the buck up, because I have to. The Imperium is the way it is after Ten Thousand years because Guilliman usurped the Emperor's seat and the Eternal Bastion philosophy that Dorn had in play, to push his own more passive ideals rather than go to an extreme that was absolutely necessary. And because he broke up the Legions in their entirety, not even having crusading proto-legion formations, he turned what was once the mighty Power Hammer of Astartes might into a pickaxe. His return and despair has ironically been changing his perspective on his old decisions.
As for the Second War of Armageddon, tbf for the Orks, there really is no loss for them

Oh, I noticed Majorkill didn't mention the bit of Lore where the Emdar "helped" Gazghkull ascend to Warchief status. Is it stil Canon or just propaganda? ;/
I am going to sound like a hater,why yarrick why a normal as human for someone like well a chapter master not that i hate him is just that i doesn't match (in my opinion)
