thank you for saying ‘misunderstood’ when speaking of Mexico. as a mexican it saddened me hearing how many people are afraid (for good reasons) but there truly are amazing and friendly people there!

As someone who grew up on the border I've never understood it, as his friend said in the video *every* country has more dangerous and more safe areas. Mexico is a gorgeous country with amazing food, it's ridiculous to paint it with such a broad brush.

This Pokémon is fairly easy to catch if you take yearly trips to Mexico. I’ve caught about 5! Marcactus is also another regional that can be caught here.

I’ve been following your journeys for a while now and the way you deliver not only the best of Pokémon Go, but the coolest parts of traveling and having fun is so amazing. I gotta say that the storytelling in your videos are pure quality.
And now coming here to my country and showing a huge part of the culture and history of Mexico for others to see in such a honoring and respectful way is so cool dude. I appreciate it so much. Glad you had fun!

Just found it after looking at some Pokémon Go videos and I can’t believe how profoundly affected I was by the heart and quality on display by everyone involved. Mexico looks mesmerizing and the people seem to be on a whole different level when it comes to hospitality and kindness. Thank you, thank you for putting this into the world.

Fun fact: I’m sure I have one of the rarest Hawlucha’s out there. I was going to Mexico, and moments before I lost connection (and more importantly, the game didn’t register me in Mexico) there was a Hawlucha. So I have a Hawlucha under “Ajo, Az, United States”. Correct me if that’s not rare.
Edit: This was earlier this year during the summer, with my family.

As someone who's never been to their home country of Mexico for reasons, I just started bawling seeing how beautiful my country is, and how much fun it looks. Obviously when I visit I'm going to catch myself a Hawlucha but I think the first thing I'm going to do is take everything in and just be thankful. Thank you for this video, you have no idea how much this means to myself and others.

The one thing I've learned being with my boyfriend who's Mexican-American is that the culture is so beautiful and vibrant. There are SO many amazing UNESCO sites in Mexico that I want to visit (specifically the Monarch butterfly bioreserve and Veracruz for the OG vanilla), but your video really surprised me in the parallels between how Dia de los Muertos is celebrated and how my people celebrate Lunar New Year. Visiting my motherland to experience LNY has always been on my bucketlist, but I see myself also wanting to experience this part of my partner's culture straight from the motherland as well.

Great video. A couple of things to mention.
First, I also made a trip of a lifetime to the Dominican Republic in Sept. While there I had a similar experience. The Paldean event started and I only caught a maractus and saw a corsola once on the nearby. Disappointing.
Also, I can understand how people think an area is dangerous. I used it live in Ecuador and I remember a guy saying "I would never visit the USA. Did you hear about all those mass shootings?" He's not wrong but it all depends on where you go and if you know someone local looking out for you. Imagine a tourist landing at LAX and look at a map of the LA area and go "let's go over to East LA. Looks cool". Might not be a good idea.
Also, Nick. You kinda look like a local for Mexico. I doubt you were getting called a gringo.

I think the only reason why they it’s dangerous to go get the Pokemon in Mexico is because they think they finna get swiped by the Mexican cartel

    Is it safe?
Yeah, my dad’s only been robbed twice …
    So - like New York?

This has to be one of my favorite, if not my favorite video you ever made, not just because youre visiting my country México, but on just how you depicted our culture, our traditions, and respectfully gave your opinion on how people think we live in a constant crime war and narco culture scene, we are a loving country with loving people, amazing food and amazing places to visit, and you showed the world this ...
Thank you nick for all your fun videos, you had us laughing all the time, i dont consider myself a top pokemon Go player or even care about PVP, but this videos are what make me travel and want to catch em all.
GRACIAS NICK ! as a mexican i really really LOVE ! what youve done ... !

I think it's worth mentioning the wrestling promotion they saw, CMLL, is the oldest still-existing pro wrestling company in the world. It just celebrated its 90th anniversary in September.

I live 20 miles from the Mexican border and I get these all the time. Didn’t realize they were regional until I saw this video. For reference you can get them somewhere south of Tucson.

Videos like this are some of my favorites. I felt this way when you were looking for duskull last year. In addition to sharing the cultural experiences (which alone is so great), your search for hawlucha and cubone evoked the feeling of excitement that doesn't happen often any more to those who have been playing since the start -- chasing shadows on the map to get an exciting new pokemon. Thanks for the awesome video. It is so appreciated 💚

I think I speak for several people when I say that we would listen to your content even if you weren't playing Pokemon go.

Awesome video Nick. Really enjoy the POGO/travel combo vlogs. Giggled at the Daxi shout out. I had a similar shiny Sableye run during the Hoenn Tour this year, caught 3 in 2 days including 2 in back to back field research tasks on Day 2.
