Randy Orton is one of WWE's most legendary superstars of all time and 20 years later, he's still entertaining us with his larger than life presence. Probably cause of how he was behind the scenes early on in his career and a few feuds here and there that flopped. He's at least top 10 of all time though, all time favorite for sure.
Man Randy is such a character that you could never replicate what he brought when he was there. The creepy feeling the fear that someone could legit die. My favorite character by far.
I would say Randy’s prime was when he single handedly destroyed CM Punks Nexus. He kept his heel character, but the crowd loved him because everyone hated the nexus at the time. Essentially he did it for himself. For his own ambitions, but it felt like he was doing it for the people. An absolute legend nonetheless no matter what era you remember him from.
Randy Orton being a completely different person from everyone in the industry was what made me fall in love with his character in the first place, absolute icon.
My theory is Randy Orton started being a menace to society when he started having voices in his head as the Undertaker the played mind games with him if anything this made Randy become more dangerous after this.
Are we not gonna talk how iconic RKO outta nowhere is? Such a simple finisher but with excellent execution. Also... Randy vs Rey Mysterio was very entertaining
I think after 09 he's still shown what a madman he can be and that's what makes him such a great character. He's also been successful as a face, like when he turned on The Authority and especially now with Matt Riddle. As a matter of fact this is the most babyface Randy Orton we've ever seen but I can't help to think The Viper will strike again at some point, probably soon, and I'm here for it
He’s improved a lot last couple of years. It felt like he was coasting and not enjoying himself, but with Matt Riddle he seems to be having fun and enjoying his later years in ring. It’s good to see honestly.
I started watching WWE in late 2007 so I missed out on a lot, but damn I can never forget 08 & 09 Randy, that was pure savagery and wherever he landed the punt kick I instantly thought "Damn, we ain't gonna see the poor guy in months now."
Im just gonna say it hands down, Randy was the embodiment of the word "Heel", John was probably also the embodiment of the word "Face", truly one of the greatest rivalry of all time
One of my favorite things about Randy was the reactions he had when he did terrible things. Like he was actually shocked that he would do something like that. My favorite came in his reaction when he punted Vince McMahon. Made him seem like he was actually an insane person with actual voices in his head telling him to do things
This was also the time when Orton pulled off that sick RKO outta nowhere on Evan Bourne when he went to hit the Shooting Star Press. That was a thing of beauty.
I used to hate Randy Orton when I was a little kid but as I got older he started to become my favorite wrestler then I met him in person and he was a really cool dude honestly
This era of wrestling was one of the last eras i watched religiously before stepping back and only really coming back every once in awhile. When i think of classic wrestling typically i think of attitude and ruthless aggression type era. Thanks for reminding me there was still a lot of great things going on around this time period too. I love the previous eras looking back and watching them online, but late 2006-2011 was the time i was watching it the most and keeping up with things, and not just hearing about it through cousins and friends. So it's good to see some good things from my time period to. Cheers.
Damn! Finally someone on TH-cam acknowledge 09 randy orton, for me that's the best character work for a heel in wrestling history no triple h no edge no mjf(how can you even compare?) like you said he was not a heel at this point, straight up monster. The greatest heel run of all time imo, and greatest heel of all time imo. Too bad he lost th hhh at mania 25. Thank you for a great video!
I genuinely forgot about Randy driving Eddie’s low rider a week after he died…Randy was a true menace bro, when he said that line to Rey Mysterio they may have crossed a line or two considering the backlash. But everything else Randy did from 2005-2008 was gold
The bald, psycho, unstable side is my all time favorite version of Orton. When he had voices theme debut and that slow walk on the ramp is one of my favorite entrances of all time til this day.
Randy orton is undoubtedly one of the best heel wrestler of all time he was always charismatic, sad and unpredictable at the same time once you meet him in the ring you know eventually he'll pull off an rko outta nowhere I love legend killer randy
I honestly can't see how people forgot that Randy was this savage as a heel. I remember watching all of these things in the 2008-2009 era that Randy did and saying oh my God this dude is nuts. That Randy Orton was a god in the wrestling world. The whole storyline where Randy used the ied excuse for why he was punting Vince was absolute genius
For me, his best moment was when he won the World Heavyweight Title at Summerslam 2004 beating Chris Benoit, clean. I stayed up late to watch that match live and I was so hyped when he won and knew this guy would become something special and he definitely has. GOAT
I was so pissed when that happened. When evolution kicked him out and gave him the beat down of a lifetime I was so happy. My favorite raw moment ever.
*Randy Orton is the GOAT! He is the reason I started watching wrestling in 07! He is from stl just like me and when I saw someone from my hometown when I was 7 on tv I was hooked. Then fell Iove with WWE! Also him with the spinner title looked so cool!*
He's my most favorite heel of all time. Has the perfect look, the most menacing moveset, the most fitting intro song and an uncanny ability to look mean. I was legit scared of him and really believed he was like that in person too.
What a time this was to be in to wrestling. From 2005-2010 that was PEAK wrestling as I remember it. Of course, I wish I was able to enjoy it at a little older of an age. I was 5 years old in 2005.
Randy is always gonna be on top position as just a superstar he’s got longevity but also he’s amazing at storytelling. 2009 was so good for the next few years they’d auto set default characters picks in SVR to cena vs randy for multiple games
08-10 Viper Orton is in my top 3 heels of all time. Absolutely goated. He had the look, the physique, the entrance, the mannerisms, and his RKO which could be hit on anyone at anytime. I miss the way he'd coil and pound his fists into the mat like a maniac to set up the RKO compared to the watered down version he does now.
Randy Orton now is just having fun being paired with Riddle and not taking anything seriously because he's done it all and has nothing left to prove. Randy Orton has been at the top since 2004 and remained one of the best if not the best heels in WWE history 👏
Man i think what makes this so good is how enthusiastic you are about going back and looking at this. At the time i was on of those smarks thinking "oh god Orton and Cena again they're so bad ugh." but man in hindsight you're right. Orton's arc from 07 to the start of 2010 was straight up insane. One of the single most evil characters in wrestling. GOATED.
This is why I loved watching WWE back then 2006-2011, because of Randy Orton he was just honestly my favourite character he just did stuff that kept us wanting to tune in every week!! and yes Pav there wont be another superstar/wrestler like him ever WWE just has potential but most of them get released!! A sad era we live in now.
When Randy Orton first debut I was like why they got this man out here. Now seen him you can say he did it all. Randy is one of my top 5 wrestlers of all time. It will NEVER be another Randy Orton.
Randy Orton was so cold and he's probably one of the scariest heels ever in wrestling history! He played his character perfectly and I actually believed he was a psychopath with that cold menacing glare. That punt kick to John Cena's father looked so real!
It's amazing to think Randy didn't even like wrestling, in OVW he openly said he was there for the money. Somewhere down the line everything clicked, and now he's probably the last properly trained wrestler that the company made and didn't seemed forced on us, which is why he's still so entertaining even now.
Just listening to you, I can tell you're genuinely hyped and having fun with this whole thing and I love to see that. It was very entertaining listening to you, felt like I was listening to a friend who is ecstatic to tell me about thing he just saw. Good job, great video.
This video is so awesome, I want to be more like Randy Orton one day. Orton from 2007-09 was extremely entertaining at times. He is an awesome heel and an amazing anti hero as well. The way he handled the McMahons from 2009 was one of my favorite moments
totally agree. Randy Orton is one of my top 5 greatest of all time and he never gets enough recognition nowadays. There is no Super Cena without him in my opinion and he should get every bit as much credit for carrying the company through the PG Era as Cena does. a living breathing walking legend.
If you thought Edge from 05 to 09 was evil then you haven’t met 2009 Randy Orton!! Punted the fuck outta Vince, kills Shane and RKO the ever loving shit outta Stephane! And the build up to mania 25 with the house brawl, Randy going through the window, HHH Vince and Shane fighting the security and AC/DC playing was beautiful!! 😍😍😍
Randy Orton is undoubtedly one of the top 10 greatest heels of all time. I remember hating this man so much in 2009 I was terrified when I saw that I Quit match.
Randy wasn’t a menace to society, he was THE MENACE TO SOCIETY! I hated that man at first then as I got older and understood his role, I couldn’t help but love him at the same time. One of the greatest heels of our generation.

@@austinwalker2000 I really think Wwe was good until about 2014 then It just fell of bad, cause In 2014 you still had the Shield, Wyatt Family, Bryan, Punk, Cena etc…
It’s a menace that this guy doesn’t get as much recognition as he deserves
no he gets what he deserve now.
WWE is not really doing anything with him anymore. But I have a feeling we are going to see beat the living doo doo out of Riddle. That I can guarantee.
Probably cause of how he was behind the scenes early on in his career and a few feuds here and there that flopped. He's at least top 10 of all time though, all time favorite for sure.
Randy is one of the most pushed Wrestlers ever what are you talking about
@@sezanmahmudshuvo2546 talking about pav
That Taker and Orton beef is one of the best beefs I’ve seen in the WWE, the casket match was legendary
Man Randy is such a character that you could never replicate what he brought when he was there. The creepy feeling the fear that someone could legit die. My favorite character by far.
The Randy Orton - Triple H feud is what solidified him as a proper legend in my book.
His literally did that his whole career 😂
In 2011 against nexus, Randy Orton was a face
randy was a face in 2011.
@@kukunase1686also for most of 2010
Prime randy Orton was in 2009, 2010 and 2011
Randy Orton being a completely different person from everyone in the industry was what made me fall in love with his character in the first place, absolute icon.
My theory is Randy Orton started being a menace to society when he started having voices in his head as the Undertaker the played mind games with him if anything this made Randy become more dangerous after this.
Never thought abt that, but the thought if it is awesome
Lol nah I like this plot
Like babadi with vegeta lol
Arguably the greatest finishing move in the game! The RKO 🐐
Arguably? you mean undoubtedly
@@EmbraceTheVision
Sweet chin music
@@goyonman9655😂 Everybody is doing a cheap knock off super kick that looks exactly the same so that kinda kills the iconic thing it as
Yeah you can do an rko anywhere it’s the move versatile move, easy set up it’s awesome
Are we not gonna talk how iconic RKO outta nowhere is?
Such a simple finisher but with excellent execution.
Also... Randy vs Rey Mysterio was very entertaining
A lot of us forget how dangerous this guy was and is. Definitely one of the best in the game
I sure did forget how insane his character got
Yo the delivery of the line calling randy a terrorist had me dying lmao
I think after 09 he's still shown what a madman he can be and that's what makes him such a great character. He's also been successful as a face, like when he turned on The Authority and especially now with Matt Riddle. As a matter of fact this is the most babyface Randy Orton we've ever seen but I can't help to think The Viper will strike again at some point, probably soon, and I'm here for it
I love rkbro and baby orton soooooo much. But when he goes viper again it’s going to be GOOD
he def has sum up his sleazy sleeve never trust the viper
Bruh the kiss WAS WIIILLDDD!!
I remember watching this in Grade 3 and getting kicked out of class the next day LMAO
One minute, he’s a legend killer
Next thing you know, he’s a legend
Bro became the thing he swore to destroy
@@zxbyxbro frrrrr😂😂😂😭😭
Randy's been HOF bound for a while now. Probably the best heel of that Era and still holds it down
Sadly not a heel anymore tho
He’s improved a lot last couple of years. It felt like he was coasting and not enjoying himself, but with Matt Riddle he seems to be having fun and enjoying his later years in ring. It’s good to see honestly.
He did burn a dude alive, to be fair.
This man was wildin back then NO ONE was safe from Orton
Monsters create monsters.. his interaction with The Dead Man really birthed some darkness in him 👏
Randy orton with that fade he wasn’t a villain he was *THE ANTAGONIST*
We really had 09 Orton, Edge and Perc Angle exist all in the same year.
😂😂😂
Damn
Perc Angle was already winding down by 2009, it was SCARY how skinny he had gotten.
Don't forget suit & tie Jericho
@@foosdontcry man one of if not jerichos best heel runs ever
Randy was a straight up menace in the 2000s. He's pretty much one of the best heels of that decade.
I started watching WWE in late 2007 so I missed out on a lot, but damn I can never forget 08 & 09 Randy, that was pure savagery and wherever he landed the punt kick I instantly thought "Damn, we ain't gonna see the poor guy in months now."
Probably the best heel of his generation. He had the old school fans sick, during the Legend Killer era.
Im just gonna say it hands down, Randy was the embodiment of the word "Heel", John was probably also the embodiment of the word "Face", truly one of the greatest rivalry of all time
I remember in 2009 randy orton just punting people in the head like almost every week
Man had more punts then nfl kickers that year
One of my favorite things about Randy was the reactions he had when he did terrible things. Like he was actually shocked that he would do something like that. My favorite came in his reaction when he punted Vince McMahon. Made him seem like he was actually an insane person with actual voices in his head telling him to do things
Randy with the white wrist tape will always be my favourite. That man was SMOOOOOOTH in that ring!
This was also the time when Orton pulled off that sick RKO outta nowhere on Evan Bourne when he went to hit the Shooting Star Press. That was a thing of beauty.
He was the Freiza of wwe of that time.
We Can All Agree Whenever Randy Orton A Heel he’s goated right, like face he’s good, but when a heel, HE SO DAMN FUCKING GOATED
My favorite wrestler of all time
His face run is so good rn with riddle, his energy in the ring is just different
@@ColinStarr67 same
I used to hate Randy Orton when I was a little kid but as I got older he started to become my favorite wrestler then I met him in person and he was a really cool dude honestly
Cheers.
Randy Orton it's really different breed. Most of WWE Superstars choose to play safe all the time. He goes way up and beyond and everyone loves him
7:34 “Shane O’Mac comes back and what does Randy do? He beats his ass too! Somebody get Linda” I’m fucking dead hahaha
Randy Orton: The McMahon Killer 😂
Same. I wonder why he got so buffed after that
Excuse me mr McMahon I think there’s another apology in order
Nah. HHH in 99 was super savage!!! The whole him and Stephanie storyline at the beginning before you realize she was in on it, that was insane!
I saw evil Randy as a kid, and that moment with Stephanie scarred me for life 😂
I genuinely forgot about Randy driving Eddie’s low rider a week after he died…Randy was a true menace bro, when he said that line to Rey Mysterio they may have crossed a line or two considering the backlash. But everything else Randy did from 2005-2008 was gold
I was there 14 years ago when he took on Cena at breaking point that was such a crazy night I’ll never forget💯
9:45 *BERSERK LITE EDITION*
I can't believe I grew up watching the crazy shit Randy Orton did in his prime.
10:48 dragging his body like he was playing hitman is the wildest most accurate description you could’ve given
1:19 That's just gnarly. Good lord. 😂
Shut up^
Relatable
*Randy Orton is the GOAT! He is the reason I started watching wrestling in 07! He is from stl just like me and when I saw someone from my hometown when I was 7 on tv I was hooked. Then fell Iove with WWE! Also him with the spinner title looked so cool!*
Not sure you know what the goat is sir
The Greatest Heel Ever ''Randy Orton'' ...
I haven't seen linda for a while... 😈😈😈
He's my most favorite heel of all time. Has the perfect look, the most menacing moveset, the most fitting intro song and an uncanny ability to look mean. I was legit scared of him and really believed he was like that in person too.
Randy orton is hall of fame menace 😭😭. This video was hilarious 🤣
Randy Orton 2009 was just evil & unstoppable 🔥🔥🔥
What a time this was to be in to wrestling. From 2005-2010 that was PEAK wrestling as I remember it. Of course, I wish I was able to enjoy it at a little older of an age. I was 5 years old in 2005.
This video got me crying. Randy was wildin LMAOOOO
he quickly became one of my favourite wrestlers of all time, the setup and execution of the RKO is EPIC
“I hear voices in my head” makes sense now
Vaas: Did I ever tell you the definition... of Insanity?
Randy Orton: Yes.... Me! (RKO)
Randy is always gonna be on top position as just a superstar he’s got longevity but also he’s amazing at storytelling. 2009 was so good for the next few years they’d auto set default characters picks in SVR to cena vs randy for multiple games
You just had to be there watching. That year was gold especially with taker vs Shawn
Randy Orton is still going strong. His promos are fire af these days. Him and Cena will always be my GOATS
Just listening to you, I can tell you're genuinely hyped and having fun with this whole thing and I love to see that. It was very entertaining listening to you, felt like I was listening to a friend who is ecstatic to tell me about thing he just saw. Good job, great video.
Bald Orton was radiating Black Air Force Energy 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤣
You forgot that Randy kiss Stephane after the RKO 😂 Randy was well still a savage but now he calm down just a little bit

Randy Orton is undoubtedly one of the top 10 greatest heels of all time. I remember hating this man so much in 2009 I was terrified when I saw that I Quit match.
In my list he's No 1

Randy Orton is undoubtedly one of the best heels ever in WWE History thanks to him being a complete savage every time. Long live The Legend Killer Randy Orton 🔥🔥🔥
