My wife is mixed Chinese-Japanese-Filipino mixed. Her Mother is half Chinese-Filipino and father is half Japanese-Filipino and she can speak 8 languages and graduated several courses. I'm British-Syrian and we're living in the UK for almost 19 years of our lives. She's the most loving, patient and a very good cook better than mine. I worked as a Sous Chef, but when it comes for cooking, my wife cooks delicious meals all the time without recipes to follow. We're married for 12 years. I'm grateful to have her not just only my wife, companion and better half but best of all, she's my soul mate.❤❤❤

I remember what Gen. Mc Arthur say “Give me 10K Filipino Soldiers and I will conquer the World” . However its just a figure of speech , he just recognized the Filipinos worth in a battle. But when it comes to Filipino workers abroad whatever small job required for us as long as we can provide food in the table for our family we happily do our job, that's how we love our family so no matter what they say I am proud to be Pinoy

Gen. Douglas MacArthur left the Philippines when the USAFFE (composed of American and Filipino soldiers) was defeated by the Japanese Imperial Army in Bataan and Corregidor. He had more than 10K Filipino soldiers under his command at that time (more than 50K if I'm not mistaken) but failed to defend the Philippines from Japanese invasion. His "figure of speech" did not match his track record. But in fairness to him, He fulfilled his promise to return and defeated the Japanese Imperial Army with the help of Filipino guerrillas. But the decisive victory over the Empire of Japan had nothing to do with him and his "10K Filipino soldiers". It was the atomic bombs that did it. (I am proud of our soldiers but Gen. MacArthur should not have exaggerated his capabilities out of respect for our soldiers whom he left in Bataan and Corregidor and died in the Death March even if it was just a figure of speech).

Those 10 celebrities made me think that they are really insecure about our race because Filipinos have lots of good traits rather than them. How Susan Mayer said that, even though the writer wrote it, it's really almost the same with the education standard abroad? The writer needs lots of research. Filipinos are everywhere... There are lots of diplomats, professionals, and non-professionals abroad that make our country well and beautiful. That's why they need us Filipinos because they couldn't do what we can do... The brains of Filipinos have high IQs, we can make things possible from impossibility. We are a part of your country. We provide really nice and honest service... We help you with things you are weak at. Be thankful we are here. The disparities of people in my country make us think smartly and do things skillfully and perfectly without asking for help from you despite your rudeness. Be kind to us so you wouldn't feel insecure.

If you are dark in many Asian countries, particularly China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, and many others, you are considered poor or working on a farm with a low income, and people may look down on you (not much of a case in the Phils though, but there are still many who feel insulted.). This is why many Asians desire fairer skin. Unfortunately, this is true.
I recall how some people in Vietnam, Singapore, and Taiwan treated me even though I was a tourist in their countries. Someone literally yelled at me, "How's life on the farm?" But, to be honest, my skin color doesn't bother me because I enjoy outdoor activities and I am proud to be a Filipina.

Luis stayed here for a couple of months just to meet a friend, have a vacation amd vlog and things took off from there for him. since his reaction videos evolved from music to beauty pageants, he was fortunate enough to be included in the pageany world here in the Philippines until he himself became a contestant in one of them but it was held in another country. he had his training here and his suits were made here. he also started attending pageants as a judge and part of the media covering it and he also had several hosting stints, too. he came back to Canada but now he's back again for a longer period of time compared to his last visit which means he'll be celebrating Christmas here. he is currently in Vietnam attending Ms Earth 2023. Filipinos love Luis and he's learned quite a lot of Filipino words and expressions that he now uses comfortably in his conversations with Filipinos and in his vlogs.

I’m a very proud Filipino of mixed heritage of Spanish, Chinese and Malay race. Very proud of my color and our culture. We’re a very hospitable, friendly, hardworking trustworthy people on earth.

This said manager was advised by his co-manager who happened to work previously with the two candidates. His advice was to choose the Filipino over the other one (same Asian which I'd rather not disclose) because he said, same good workers but different work ethics. What Jay Leno said is a Filipino tradition during Holy Week where some people repent for their sins by carrying crosses he should first check what our culture is about.
Its sad just because we are a developing country we are undermined and judged poorly by richer countries. You're right when you said they should EXPERIENCE the country and its people first before making any judgements, don't judge a book by its cover

Why? Cause Filipinos are so versatile, Filipinos can speak English very well, they can easily change their accent depending on their environment, highly adapatable in every situations, Filipinos is really good at their jobs, their skin tone makes them possible to walk under the heat of the sun without being look like a tomatoes from being a raddish that is the skin color that most of the Western celebrities trying to achieve by sunbathing, and most of all Filipinos are highly educated despite of not so huge economy ...

Corruption also is a big issue in many first world countries not only in developing countries. Here in the USA corruption is also a big issue. So Mr. Roams corruption is everywhere whether you like it or not. Even in your homeland in Canada!
By the way Mr. Roams, the Philippines is now a Newly Industrialized country along with Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, Singapore and many more countries.
To Mr. Roams, please keep your subtitle in a positive tone with the absence of pretense.
Thanks Music Game News, you are an excellent reactor!

Lucy Liu may have been concerned about something else with getting too much sun, because one point a number of years ago she talked about having a lot of freckles which she hides with make up, and that is looked upon unfavorably in Chinese culture, maybe even her own family, I don't recall. Sunlight would darken her freckles also.
