Thinking week is a concept I just came across through the book Deep Work. It is something that I have planned for this year. Glad you enjoyed yours. The videography is awesome. Keep doing good work!

I cant thank you enough for this kind of videos, please keep on doing them. I commented in the past that i feel like you are the future me with very similar thoughts i have.
I am questioning myself for years why I have problems doing the things I like (also planning a big App like you).
I tried meditation, cold showering, yoga, healthy eating, sports, nature walks, digital detox, reading very much. I think all together plus your content is getting me where i want to be someday.
When i dont do it, I am feeling guilty and a bit worthless.
Keep up the awesome videos, i love them.

The need for information detox is real. In times of Social Media we're transformed into input-junkies without us even realizing it. How many people would be willing to put their smartphone down for a day, two days or even a week? Heck, how many people can spend some alone time with nothing but their thoughts and a book. We already are information addicts.
*Interesting:* Those ppl who take a break find it hard for the first couple of hours. After that they start feeling better, because of all the noise they've shut out.
*Premise:* Know how to be alone.

I also disconnect from everything once in a year and go on trek in the mountains where there are no network, no phone calls, no internet just me and the nature. And seriously it give me strength and balance my mind and it gives me a mental peace.

This was fascinating, I also want to read more. What did you record this on? Were you distracted by that?
I recorded on a canon eos r. And yes it was a little distracting but I limited the shooting of the video to just two days which meant the rest of the week was without it :)
Kalle Hallden im glad to hear it wasn’t too distracting. I did a somewhat partial weekend detaching. I finished two books and watched movies and limited my phone time

I watched that documentary but for some reason missed this very cool “Thinking Week” segment. Perhaps I was distracted or my memory failing me at the moment.

Funny saw the documentary 2 years or so ago and been thinking about bill at the lodge, reading his book drinking his cola lol and just reading. Wish I could switch off like that.
Relating back to your bot trading video, what would happen if you had unlimited API calls per minute? Would you make more money?
I've been thinking about this since it came out...
It's an advantage to be faster. You could use web sockets
Since that video, I'm building a Trading Bot. And I don't even know if Kalle truly traded. The alpha advantage is not trustworthy in terms of data, so I intercepted the data that comes from the stockbroker I have an account, and then I was able to make Unlimited calls from several stocks and test with past data and working with a strategy to make it work. For now, I'm using the Doji technique from the article that Kalle shared, and tweaking in order to find better approaches.

Fun Fact: Not everybody has a "Voice inside the Head", it's called Inner Monologue. People that don't have it usually tend to move their lips while reading and speak while are forming an idea. To test if you have it or not just read / write something if you can listen to your voice without reading / writing then you have inner monologue.

This is really nice. I like to go to the mountains during hunting season to watch nature and that is when I found the secret to deer season. Nature naps are amazing. Nobody around to wake you, nor anything around to disturb your inner peace. Just you and nature. Plus if anyone does come by and wonder why you are out in the woods with a gun you can always say its hunting season. lol Never gotten a deer, but a lot of sleep and relaxation.

I really like this idea but now I’m interested in what you did once you came back home. I finde my self catching up on things I didn’t do or watch. For example on TH-cam I will still watch most of the videos of channels I’m subscribed to. So I feel like I can’t stop but instead just delay my media consumption! I know it’s not all about media consumption but I think it’s a big part of such an experience.

Yes I do, but I don’t know enough about it to suggest any good resources unfortunately. I pretty much just unvest in Index funds.
I do 70-20-10
70% on safe index funds 20% on higher risk funds and 10% on individual stocks
