- In this video I'll go over the latest updates in the second batch of Talaria XXX's from Luna Cycle. I'm new to the moto-e-bike game but give my thoughts and review from a dirt and street motorcycle background.

Plan on getting a Talaria XXX either later this year or next year. Wish i lived closer to these major e-bike locations - East coast guy here.

I got one of them and the red edition which is the newest one and have a DNM rear shock and goes insanely fast with great torque
My daughter twisted the throttle and mine shot out from between my legs and hit a tree. Definitely did some damage to mine as well.
Scary when that happens!

Does cutting the wire change the torque from a stop? Worried about my girl popping unexpected wheelies on this so I'm wondering if maybe Id leave it in tact for her
i use a dirt helmet on mine and i definitely am concerned that it attracts more attention from cops. i actually avoid wearing a helmet when i'm going local (eco mode only) to reduce heat.
I wear a bell cyclist helmet to look incognito, like a bicycle, especially cuz i’m in California. Group rides where i go high speed def an MX helmet
I agree with the things you dont like about it, i wish it were quieter. Do you find it got louder after you cut the speed limiter ?
Yeah, probably more noticeable because you accelerate longer to hit max speed.

I know you can upgrade the batteries on the other two, but not the xxx
Did you decide I was stuck on X but now I think the stinger is the brother choice with the price hike from the X in taxes and fee

Chi just came out with a battery for the Talaria X3. I have a Talaria X and the range is awesome. I also had a sting r and I feel the range is more on the Talaria X

is it okay to place it on its side in the trunk while taking it home from luna? im planning on doing this too but was everything in perfect condition when you unboxed it? thank you :)
Yeah, no problems having the box on its side.
I’ve been treating it opposite of most riders, I haven’t clipped the wire and mainly cruise in eco mode. I ride through my neighborhood only and a lot of my neighbors walk around and prefer the sound that it makes so they are aware someone is coming. Also, cars and motorcycles aren’t driving through my neighborhood above 20 mph so either do I. It’s be different if I was off road, I’d clip the wire and rip it!

What an absolute waste of money. Just clip the damn cable dude. It’s not a ninja H2 or a Hayabusa lmfao
Don’t listen to these people. Your bike is your bike and you bought it for your reasons. But if you do go off-roading and decide to clip it, you can install a switch that puts the limiter back on for when you ride in town, new rider, etc.
About how long did it take to ship?
I picked mine up from Luna Cycle but it seems like they shipped out the bikes before they allowed for the pickup orders. Should be about 1 week after purchase.
@@TylerTownsendTravelhey there, you’re the first person I’ve seen pick these up at the actual store. When you checkout online does it give you a shipping or pick up at store option? If so, how much is shipping? I want to know if it’ll cost me less. Thanks in advance
@@bitchimightbe3773 shipping was $300 so you could definitely save some money by picking it up if you live in So Cal. They only allow pickup m-f business hours and it has to be the buyer with their ID (can’t have a friend pick it up for you).

This is why I don't like twist throttle ebikes. I have a twist bike that did the same thing to me. I got home and conveted it to a thumb throttle which is much safer in my opinion

So it’s technically not street legal bc of the watt of the battery?
No it’s not street legal because of the speed, basically for high powered e-bikes to be legal you have to go through the same legalization process as a dirtbike. However what I’ve seen some do is that they add mirrors to it and then if they get pulled over they claim it’s a moped, since technically in most states mopeds don’t require registration or plates. As long as you have either a M1 license or a regular drivers license you are allowed to ride mopeds. Obviously if a cop catches you shooting around at 45mph and actually clocks you then it becomes hard to fake them out.

the rear subframes are still folding on these bikes. this is why aftermarket companies are making reinforced subframes for them, because they suck. overall these bikes are not that great.

Why nobody talks about the problems you will have with this ilegal dirtbike , police can impound your bike, why luna cycles don't talk about all this?

@@DiegoJimenez-ed6ni it depends were u live and how the cops are most cops don't care enough if ur just riding in the bike lane but they don't like wheeling plus you can add a pedal kit most cops won't mess with u
