NEW and FRESH Paint -CPKC's New Paint Scheme!-

- Over a year after CP and KCS merged to form CPKC, the new paint scheme has finally been applied to two locomotives! The first locomotive to wear these new colors was CP 9375, and the second one was KCS 4805. We'll get up close, and see the 9375 on display, and leading a train out of the Twin Cities!
Starting over at Saint Paul, we'll see the 9375 over at Saint Paul Yard, resting at the diesel shops. After this, we'll see it up close over at Union Depot for Train Days. Once the event was over, we'll catch it heading west in the last light of the day on train 243. Power is only ever this clean ONCE, and its certainly a different from the normal CP and KCS dress on locomotives.

It’s funny how right now we are all exited about this paint scheme, but in a few years we will get angry when all we see is this. And will be so exited when we see a CP or KCS unit.
Sort of like how if you see pair of H2 C44-9Ws on the BNSF these days! Its amazing how time can do that. Got to enjoy them while they are fresh and new! Thanks for the comment, and watching!
I miss the Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe!
When are the brand new CPKC WABTEC units coming? Reportedly there are 60 of them to be delivered this year. They are to be a mix of tier 4 and credit user units.
CN 2.0.
It would be inclined to agree with you on this; its almost like CN's scheme, but backwards.
It looks pretty bad honestly, at least the back half
Yeah, I'm not a fan of this. So much potential for a better scheme. :/
Tbh, I think it’s miles better than the CP scheme. Granted the KCS scheme was better than the this one.
Remove the*
They should have put Sanders face on there. Colonels Pride Kentucky Chicken.
Ha ha ha, now that is one I haven't heard of before. Thanks for watching!
I am not entirely a fan of the scheme, but I find the three flags cool. I also hope they keep the old reporting marks under the number even after CPKC gets approved.
CN must be smiling right about now and thinking of the statement, "Imitation is the finest form of flattery." The design concept is basically a mirror image of CN aka CN 2.0. To me it looks like a singed hotdog with a mustard stain and is no tribute to KCS. But to each their own I guess.
I have the same views as you on this, and would agree that the flags are a nice addition. I guess we'll see what happens with the reporting marks!
My opinion: nothing special...and actually, uninspiring. It's not ugly, or tasteless, though. Looks a bit like Canadian National.
It reminds me of a reverse CN scheme, but with different colors. IMO, so much more could have been done with it.
CN 2.0.
Looks more like a singed hotdog with a mustard stain. Some tribute to KCS. And the yellow logo up against a white background? The two colors clash. IMO this livery is a joke and no tribute to KCS.
Nice video Douglas! It looks real nice now, give it a couple months of neglect and it will look as grimy as the rest of CP’s power.
Thanks Gordy! Sad truth there...get them while they are clean and fresh.
Very good video premiere. I like all of CP RAIL. Great to see The Ex Milwaukee Road colors with the SOO LINE patch below the window cab. & Of course the red & white SOO LINE. The current scheme is beautiful . This video: 👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🏆 🔴🟡⚪⚫
Thank you very much, and glad you enjoyed the video! I want to catch two of these repaints back to back sometime.
@@SD457500 May I add I have a lot of these scale models of these in HO scale as shown, except for the CPKC scheme not yet. 😃
The 3 flags is a nice touch. I still perfer the all red CP paint
I would agree; or all CP red with the lettering and logo on the side. We'll have to wait and see how many units get this paint, and how slow/fast they are going to repaint power.
almost Unstoppable paint scheme
Facts there! However, the scheme in the movie looks better then this, in my opinion.
Not a big fan of it but not the worst paint scheme, could have been worse

But in all seriousness the shine and new condition is what makes it hard to hate, but it COULD have been better
This new color scheme of the 4805 looks more like a copy of the Canadian National with a yellow stripe or a Belgian flag. Sorry 😳
Sincerly Juergen
To bad they will be filthy in a month, great scheme CPKC
Facts; they're only this clean once, and get them while you can. Thank you for watching!
More like in a month the units will look like they have a singed rear end from an engine fire.
I have an old cpkc railroad spike from smith falls Ontario Canada
Awesome Paint job
VERY NICE
Nice but missing Orange to be true to both.
Awesome video.
Thanks for the visit, and glad you enjoyed it!
The only good thing about it is that the paint is fresh . Nothing special , too much CP and no KCS it would probably look better with black at the top with gold stripe and red under the gold🥱
I think that so much more could have been done with these colors...
It should be noted that both of these locomotives were painted at Mid-America Car, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri.
Nobody said anything about the bnsf SD9
Thatll be in another video! :)
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching!
KCS always looks dirty and old, and they operate in the desert, come on.
Great video Douglas! :)
Great to hear you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching. :D
Awesome
Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for the comment!
