He did quite a few things related to money to me, including some stuff tony did to meadows partners over the show. He screamed at me for trying to chip in for dinner. We went on a vacation and he was furious that I even attempted to rent us our own place instead of staying with him in his literal multi-floor condo. He pulled me to the side a few times to give me cash and tell me “forget where you thought you were gonna take her, take her some place nice”. He told me if he ever even saw my wallet awhile we were out as a family that he’d pop me in the mouth.
Starts out conning Tony. Then gets caught with another woman and then Tony catches him in two strip clubs culminating in Tony interrupting his private dance where he’s getting some “loving” and Tony tells him he “bottomed out” and kneeing him in the groin laying him out.
This show has so many little things going on in every scene. After Tony tells Paulie to get him the usual, Paulie stands there for a few seconds trying to remember what his usual is.
Actually later on in the series AJ definitely takes advantage of his dad's reputation. Starts hanging out with his crew, intimidating and beating people up. He even got excited when his friends burned off somebody's toes with acid.
This is great writing because if Jackie Jr actually did his school work, he would of found out that poe marrying his cousin is a myth. It shows tonys ignorance.
Jackie Jr could have been like Tony’s brother-in-law Tom. Just a normal guy with a good life all he has to do is stay OUT of trouble. This idiot got killed by the mob before joining the mob. Total debacle.
The tragedy of this show is that Tony was in many ways an admirable guy, who had good in him but as the show progressed that slowly got snuffed out and evil took its place. I admire the man he could have been, not what he ultimately became. It's sad.
