there are several families like this in India which have their rich royal temples. they are rich but they run vedic shalas, hospitals and charitable foundations. but sadly all rich temples of the north were considered archeological and taken under govt control. now they don't do anything and only do accounts and take salaries. but still hindus go there even today to pray to their god and also pay thousands of crores of charity but all is gulped by the government and given straight to minority madarsas and Dargahs who all teach so beautiful ideology and are so well run as we all know. meanwhile hindus ledt to fend for themselves with their own poor tribals in remote areas and backward class. FREEDOM FOR TEMPLE BOARDS!!!

The person who made the video kept referring to the deity as 'PadmanabhESHWAR Swamy'. He doesn't even have the knowledge to understand that the word ESHWAR refers to Shiva, while the deity is Mahavishnu. The correct name of the deity is 'PADMANAABHASWAMY' or 'ANANTHA PADMANABHASWAMY'. the name of the place also is 'THIRU ANANTHA PURAM' which when pronounced fast becomes 'Thiruvananthapuram'. thiru means revered, Puram means the place.... So the meaning translates to the place where the revered worshipped deity Ananthapadmanabhaswamy is......
