@@Andrew-wo7ng not that it’s a big difference but he hit .243. Yanks have been screwing around Peraza for awhile now. When he first came up to replace IKF, he hit .306 and stabilized the SS position. But management loves Volpe and asserted him starter after a good spring training. IMO, Volpe should have started off AAA and Peraza the starting SS. Peraza is a good player when given the opportunity, the way Volpe was given
@Andrew-wo7ng The yabkees keep tampering with Perazas swing. He's gone from leg kick to toe tap and back and forth. Since the last adjacent hes made going with the toe tap hes been killing im the minors. Even came up and homered in the majors. His defense is really good. I hope the yankees finally give him a shot.
True, these guys are just going by projected numbers stat system. But when he was paying at beginning of the season he was hot. Then you bench him. So of course he will get cold. I don't understand the logic of some people.
I agree with the ppl saying let Peraza play. Defensively he n Volpe are pretty much equal and offensively Volpe has done nothing in the Majors. I rather have Peraza at 3B than any of the trade proposals. If they’re willing to spend more $$$ then I agree with getting Kim.
Great channel guys. Too bad Yankees did not get Pete Alonso at first base. Because you would have had your big hitter to help Judge. then Peraza could have been your third base possibly or Cabrera. I would try to get Bregman or Bohm at third base. Both can hit and played well in play-offs. Bohm could even lead-off if you want. Bohm is a .280 hitter with 16 homers a year. I love Dj Lemahieu but time to let him go! Dj is only good now as a backup first baseman. Yankees STILL do not have a good leadoff hitter and Jazz strikes out too much to be a good one!
Offer the Royals 300-350 million in cash and Volpe for Witt. That would solve the issue of replacing Soto's offense and provide the Yankees with a plus defender at Short Stop
I don’t think we draft well position wise We are always heavy-handed with catchers relief, pitchers, short stops and second base we do not do a good job drafting third base first base and outfield. Now back to the topic how come we will not give someone on the farm a chance at second base or at the very least bring in the best one that we have pro ready on the farm and at least bring him in as a back up so he will be ready to go next year
I did not know Jaz, was our 2nd baseman last year....I thought he was our third baseman. So....this really is his first move as a yankee. Is it really an issue?
ALEC BOHM … I just don’t get why you guys aren’t hot on Bohm. A Gold glove 3rd basemen who hits 280- would’ve hit 20 hr’s at Yankee stadium, plays 150+ games and only strikes out 85 times … has a great eye on the plate- he would be a great leadoff or 2nd bat in the lineup. He’ll also be under team control for two years. Why not trade miller and maybe Perez for him? Ryan, I’m waiting for you to do a thorough breakdown on Bohm, I know you’ll love what you see. Alex, Ryan… come on. Lol
So pay the 30 million for LeMahieu and have him sit the bench. Look the Yanks are already 303 million this year.. Peraza Was passed over for the no hitting Volpe.. Boone will never give him a chance. Lemehieu is the only option at this point. Unless the Yanks can move Stroman. Torres is gone goodbye.. these guys have no idea what they are talking about..
..I tell you I love the Yankees but if Yankees go with Goldschmidt at first base and Dj Lemahieu as our third base, we are punting the 2025 season my fellow Yankees fans!
@NelsonCruz-u3q bro did you say he has no power?! Bro the game is about moving the runners over. Fundamentals. You can not tell me Cabrera wasn't doing that when he was batting .323 for 4 months before sitting him down. You know nothing friend lol 😂
I don't know why you guys keep saying that Donovan is unavailable. Don't you think if the Yankees would send over Warren, Arias, Riggio or Serna, and Stroman plus 8 million bucks, It would be hard for the Cardinals to say no?
@firesideyankees He's the only one who really moves the needle at this point. If we had gotten Tucker, Kim would be great. But if the "Plan B" strategy offensively is to improve incrementally at several positions and lengthen the lineup, we cannot afford to have anyone in the infield who may be a sub 100 OPS plus guy. Donovan is the only one out there who can play Superior defense at several positions, including the outfield, and get on base at an above average rate, and comes with a team friendly contract.
Trade for Arraez, platoon him defensively & at dh when Stanton needs a day off or gets hurt. He's been among the best hitters in bb avg wise in the last 3-5 years. Let's do this!!
If the mets get Bregman and then trade Mcneil to the yankees then the Steinbrenners would complete their Wilpon transformation. They might as well just sell the team at that point because that would be fucking embarrassing. The optics of that trade would be atrocious and i get that you guys are coming from a rational pov by suggesting him as a trade option but man that would be horrible especially after letting Soto leave to that same team that's trading you their scraps and is your cross-town rival.
DJ was hurt last year. He's two years removed from a serious injury maybe if he's healthy he has a huge year? Pinstripe Bowl tomorrow are you guys watching it? I watched the Armed forces Bowl today I was rooting for NAVY I was born in Great Kills Staten Island when I was 6 I moved to The Washington DC Baltimore area but I always root for ARMY In the ARMY NAVY Game Because both grandfather's and my sister are ARMY Veterans! 😊💜
For your information, John Bird is a free agent to sign him for $3 million for one year. He only made 1,000,000 1/2 with the Yankees last year. You guys misunderstood me I knew he wasn’t with the Yankees. He was a free agent, but when he was healthy, he played good. He plays the whole infield and outfield, and he has a good glove.
The only guy I could think of that I would love the Yankee should go after very hard Donovan from the St. Louis Cardinals lead off batter good bat good glove and still has three years left arbitration
Let Peraza get the volpe treatment and see how good he actually is.
Yes!
He hit like 220 in the minors last year….

Oswald Peraza will get a harder look this season, albeit to see if he has a future in NY or just showcase for a trade at the deadline
Oswaldo did not get consistent at bats so calling him sub-average is not fair assessment.

Love the show! Ryan, PLEASE slow your speech down, especially at the end of a sentence. Keep up the great work.
Listening to Ryan Garcia be in his thoughts reminds me of how I was walking in a Toys R Us store in the eighties
that's a compliment haha
We judge Will Warren in 20 innings not because he looked rattled... But, because his stuff did NOT look special at all!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the Friday video. 👍🏾

James, Nice idea. But Bobby Whitt Jr is the face of the Royals. Not likely Yankees will get him unless in free agency.
It's FRIDAY bro 😏
Yes Arraez would be a perfect leadoff hitter. I'm not w putting that type of pressure on Dominguez in his full big league career.
my brother, its friday
Jazz strikes out too to be leadoff. Arraez is the obvious choice.
I agree. I do not want Jazz leading off! Maybe third baseman Alec Bohm? Bohm hits .280 with 16 homers a year!
I say go out and get a new 2B . Jazz did great at 3B

the fact that they select DJ to play 3B is an indication that the Yankees have minimal $$$ to spend. That's just great🤬
Wrong
Detroit tigers good luck with Torres and all his errors at second base
I did not know Jaz, was our 2nd baseman last year....I thought he was our third baseman. So....this really is his first move as a yankee. Is it really an issue?
He is a second baseman outfielder. But he started at 3rd for us when DJ died and wasn't producing. Were you not watching this season?
Whoever we go get we need run production we have not replaced the runs we have lost although I believe we have got better defensively
Jazz at 2b lets gooooo

It's cool that you rarely speak about trading Jones! He's 500 plus homers for a career.
We don’t want to trade him unless it’s for a massive upgrade somewhere
Why didn't you mention Oswald Peraza as an option... He is their best option on their roster right now!!!

Why? lol Cabrera has earned it. Everytime he got hot last year Boone would sit him for someone that was cold as ice
