None of the players you showed are small in my mind? 5 foot 8 or 9 inches is not small. I remember Bobby Lalonde who was 5 foot 4 inches and a really good player. Just saying!
Came here to say this! Maybe it’s because I’m 5’4 and wanted to see smaller guys on this list, but yeah most of this video was 5’9 and that’s not much smaller than average. In the real world obviously, not average in NHL. But still haha
koivu did nothing. whats his records........ no cup and he spend years in french quebec and he learn to say merci and bonjour. what a waste of time. at the end is greatest exploit is his battle for whatever disease he had. in montreal they always overated their players like that always wounded carey price. no hall of fame for him and even less for koivu
@@claudemarchand1196 no hall of fame for Price? while playing for the Canadian men's team, against the best stacked teams in the world, he has never lost a game! I'll bet that no other goalie in history can say that! When NHL forwards and defensemen were asked which goaltender they would choose to back stop an elite team, everyone of them said Carey Price! No other goalie got a vote! More wins in a single season than any Habs goalie before him, while playing on a sad sack team! 2 more wins than Plante and Dryden, and they were playing behind the 2 greatest dynasties ever!!!!! It is ok if you don't like him, but saying dumb crap like that makes you look less than intelligent.
Ray Ferraro was told he was too small to play in the WHL. He set scoring records there. They said he was too small to play in the NHL. He played there for 21 years. And he played well.
The Wild having two of these guys as their main contributors is one of the reasons they cannot get out of the first round. Love Spurge and Lizard but the playoffs are a different animal.
Everyone was surprised at Gaudreau signing with those struggling CBJs but that was actually a really smart move as their prospect pool is absolutely insane ! For each & everyone of all their interesting prospects that made it into the NHL for them this year, with encouraging numbers to boot, there's at least one other guy in their system that has an even higher potential, it's crazy. On top of that they will select the 3rd, the 22nd and the 34th draft picks this year, most likely another top 10 (if not top 5) pick and the 36th next year. DET & CHI have even more picks but they come from so much further in building their pool, the CBJ are already all set. Finally, Laine will come back from IR, Texier from his stint in Switzerland (if things go well might get easily extended on the cheap as he is very grateful with what they allowed him to do to save his mental health on this family matter while knowing he cannot pretend to a huge contract) and both of them will be detrimental to help grow into the league some of those upcoming prospects. Gaudreau will have so much fun leading that offense to PO contention in just 2 to 3 years. Very smart choice.
if you want name from the past think of henri richard. no small players will ever achieve his eleven stanley cup and a 20 + years career. take that fleury!!!
You did Caufield so dirty in the thumbnail
Fr he’s 5’8 not even that small
My height 😢
Love how when you mention Theo Fleury in the intro picture is Wade Reddan
The one advantage to smaller players is the
Larger goals they get to play with!

Bobby LaLonde was so good
DeBrincat was missed here. He’s a boon to every team he’s on and a solid scorer.
So are we going to forget Alex debrincat ? I’m pretty sure he is like 5 ft 6 and he is a great player.
He’s realistically 5’6” but listed 5’8”
“Like Martin St. Louis or Theo Fleury”….
Shows picture of Wade Redden
Saku Koivu 177cm or 5"10.
I remember everybody said that he were too short to become what he became.

When Saku became captain, a friend of mine said that Montreal would never win the cup while Saku was captain! How right he was!!!!!!
Marchessault

Then he was a staple in the nhl video games
@@LeshallBallProductions he’s done well for him self.
Bruh Ray Ferraro wasn’t even small he was 5’10” 😂😂😂😂
@@xxxnyb but he WAS told that by coaches and scouts. Before both major Jr. and the NHL.
Bobby LaLonde was 5’5” and one of the best players in the NHL during his peak…
This is more of a topic of 5 years ago, what’s next is more players like Tage Thompson, big players that move like little players
Kuch, Kane and DeBrincat are small asf too
Kaner is a solid 5’9 maybe
Minnesota has gained so much from our small players.

Smallest player in the past was Nathan Gerbe fr. guy was 5'4 😂
You forgot Alex DeBrincat.
Caufield is so good
Good video, but bullshit thumbnail gets a thumbs down. Nobody in that video was 5'4"

Wait a sec, you mentioned St. Louis as a coach but NOT as a player? I guess it's current players :(
Yanni Gourde is so good
Rip Johnny
where's messi
Mats Naslund was pretty short, just as his nickname "Le Petit Viking" hint at ". Edit: missed it was about current playersXD
No debrincat?
Was that Theo?
That was my cousin (Wade Redden) that you used as the photo for Theo Fleury lol... i know that face anywhere and it sure ain't Theo.
Facts Tim I was about to say the same exact thing.
Just posted that
Debrincat?
Hell yeah!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤😻😻😻
Umm, the Lightning are not a dynasty…
It's OK. This YT channel is just created by AI.
Dude! Where was the 5’4 NHL player you listed on your thumbnail? The tallest player on your vid was 5’7. Let me guess click bait
Wasn’t Nathan Gerbe 5’4?
He said current players only
5’3 or 5’4 max yes
Pageau got robbed
Rangers fans overrated zuccarello so much
Na dude zucc is nasty always has been plus he’s like 5’6”
