Thank you Brian . Great video! I am on my second build 49 cc and you are helping me a lot! I am old man 64 years. I love riding a motorized motorized bicycle. I pull little trailer behind and don't like going fast on streets and sidewalks in Miami Florida
One of the best ways to improve overall performance that doesn't cost anything is to make sure the bicycle is assembled correctly. That means greasing and adjusting all the bearings, truing the wheels, making sure the wheels are in alignment. Then set up the motor with the same amount of care to ensure the drive sprockets are aligned correctly, and the electrical connections are clean and tight. Torque ALL the bolts on the engine, etc. You will be surprized at how much better the total bike performs just by doing a careful set-up. Takes nothing but time.

This is all the stuff I would normally do to "Hot Up" any engine. Rule of thumb, the better the engine can breath, the better it will run. Yup, I'm a Hot Rodder at heart, can't leave nothing stock. The Beach Cruiser I built and ride has a few little things added..... High Compression Head, Hotter Ignition, NGK #5 plug, reed valve, 4" extension on the intake. Finally, of course, A Tuned Exhaust Pipe. The engine might be putting out 1.5 more horsepower, big increase in bottom end. 32mph on the flat. This should improve with and bit more run time. We humans put out about 1/5th of a Horsepower and bikes are designed around this. When we start putting engines on these frames things like bearings, add High Temp High Pressure Wheel Bearing Grease, Up grade the break pads with fresh new ones regularly, then just make sure all your nuts and bolts are tight, are things besides the engine that we have to watch. We are riding," UltraLight Motorcycles" that handle like a bicycle. Diving into corners, at speed, is just fun. Finally, Tuning and Maintenance are just the two main things that these Motorized Bikes bring to us Hot Rodders. Now get out there, have fun and be safe.

2.7hp is being very generous. 2strokestuffing put a 66cc bike(pretty sure it was 66) on his Dyno and I'm pretty sure it pulled about half that even though they're sold as 2-5hp depending where you buy it. My guess is the stock 49cc is right around there as well
Hi Brian... thanks for the videos!! I have a question for ya that is driving me bonkers. So I did some minor porting the other day. All I did was take out some manufacturing imperfections to the transfer ports and roughened up the intake port just a tiny bit. I also took some off the raised ring on the head for higher compression. Oh I also put the piston at top dead center and trimmed the skirt so the intake port has clear flow. The problem now is that the motor dies as soon as I get off the gas. It runs like a bat out of hell once I'm scooting but just quits as soon as I get off the gas. If I pull the clutch and give it gas it will stay on. Do I need to jet up now??? Or maybe cheesed the porting?? Thanks man
yes sir jets is the answer") try this first on the main jet that is at the end of the throttle cale has four grooves at the top of the jet it should be at the second one down (stock) this is middle lean try moving the jet down on and see if that works first. it you still have the same results then you need to get the next bigger jets all of them because all of them need to be changed. should be 2 of them for most standard carbs that come with these engine kits. I have the NT SPEED carb and it worked really good out of the box so i just experimented with the setting on the main until i got it right and left it there. watch this video and you get the drift") th-cam.com/video/0F-Vyv5WmO8/w-d-xo.html thanks for watching you got more questions i got more answers my friend")
What do you think about an 80cc motor? Is what I will be buying but want to make sure it will do what I want. I would like to travel like 10 miles a day. (From work and home) but I'm not old enough to have a license so I figured this would be a good idea. Anyways with a 80cc motor would it be able to do that every day for the summer? And about how long is a 10 mile ride with minor up and down hills. Thank You! also I love how you say " you know what I'm sayin."
took me about 45 minutes at 25mph riding across the city of phoenix into north Scottsdale. used about 1/4 gallon of fuel i would NOT use the 80cc for two reasons 1. it's not 80cc it's 66cc 2. most of the laws in the land say that anything above 49cc is illegal and the cops will give you a ticket that will cost you more that you will be saving if you just buy the 49cc kit")
Not true. If that was the case they wouldn’t make different temp, length, materials, electrodes, tips on spark plugs. I made a small gain from swapping from a standard to an iridium spark plug in my car. If you dump more fuel in, you need to be able to ignite it all, otherwise it’s a waste. More fuel needs more/better/hotter spark.

@@ravencruz7576 it is possible that you sexier the engine. Does it turn over just not starting? Or when you let the clutch out rolling it just skids to a stop?
Wow your city must be approximately 17.7482393493 miles by 17.7482393493 miles lol I'm just joking man but cool vid and some very useful tips brother 👍🙏
I wouldn't go with a longer intake because the engine has to work harder to get the air through that so if you have that like 3 inch intake right there and you were to blow through that and then you go to a 6 inch air intake and blow through that the 6 inch air intake you will have more resistance and if you want performance you want that fuel mixture to get into the motor as quick and fast as possible for the high revs
theory here is to get a bigger charge of air/fuel mix and by increasing the intake runner it does this just by having that extra 10% in the tube all the time. if you go to long like you have said then you are running into a different set of problems that include flooding and excessive oil in the cylinder because you have to much air/fuel mix in the intake all the time this is why I recommend in the video to try to stay inside of the 3 inch length that I have on my engine. this allows the air/fuel mix to stay constant and it doesn't make the little piston work so hard sucking in the air/fuel mix. Plus if you add the expansion chamber and skirt the piston to increase the flow from the interior ports then the whole thing works together to increase the power of the little engine. I only eluded to 6 inches if you were to do all the extras like porting and adding the cylinder head and that stuff. thanks for your comments that put some more light on this subject and just might help someone out that needs a wider explanation") thanks for watching

didn't get it? if you put a bigger sprocket on the back (more teeth say 48 or 50) you will change the gear to a lower set up-- on the other hand if you drop the teeth count (say to 38 or 36) you will bring the gear set up higher and tat means more speed over the rev range") get it now?

A daisy on my wrist and hawk on the back of my hand
love your videos your videos help me the most !!!!!!!!!!!!! you are a hero
Julian Santiago thanks but I left my cape at the dry cleaners") thanks for watching
2.7hp is being very generous. 2strokestuffing put a 66cc bike(pretty sure it was 66) on his Dyno and I'm pretty sure it pulled about half that even though they're sold as 2-5hp depending where you buy it. My guess is the stock 49cc is right around there as well
just watched his vid today, 1.78- 2.45 was his best results
Great video my man wish I lived there I got 2 of them and I didn’t put them together yet cause this video lol
Hi Brian... thanks for the videos!!
Brian which gear tooth ratio do you think is better? 40 or 50' something? I don't want to go fast. Thank you for your help young man!!!
Try 41 best for stock set up")
Great you know what I'm saying
Yes I do little brother")
would it increase speed if you use a lawnmower spark plug?
What do you think about an 80cc motor? Is what I will be buying but want to make sure it will do what I want. I would like to travel like 10 miles a day. (From work and home) but I'm not old enough to have a license so I figured this would be a good idea. Anyways with a 80cc motor would it be able to do that every day for the summer? And about how long is a 10 mile ride with minor up and down hills. Thank You! also I love how you say " you know what I'm sayin."
i did 28 miles a day with the 49cc engine for 4 months every day and never had any problems in fact the gas milage numbers got better
brian noel do you know about how long the ride was? Like time wise
took me about 45 minutes at 25mph riding across the city of phoenix into north Scottsdale. used about 1/4 gallon of fuel i would NOT use the 80cc for two reasons
1. it's not 80cc it's 66cc
2. most of the laws in the land say that anything above 49cc is illegal and the cops will give you a ticket that will cost you more that you will be saving if you just buy the 49cc kit")
Once you ignite the fuel mixture it is same new sparkplug does not add anythink up.
Thanks for watching "/
Thanks for the tip
Do you know what the fuck im saying haha 😄🤣😂🤪😅 this is funny
you talking about Fred in Tucson?
Guero Robles no Fred the dude that makes speed parts on youtube
oh OK... I have a question.. have you ever experienced back firing on a 2 stroke through the carburetor? and loss of power.
This was really helpful. Thanks! 👍
Any tips for chain tensioner bending in to spokes? Messed up two tensioners and rims from chain getting loose, had tensioner tight both times.
JackTheRiffer masked guitarist yes change the stock tensioner out for the hub adapter set up from MMBIKEPARTS.COM it cost a little bit more than the cheaper versions but well worth it. I bought 4 for various builds and had custom gears cut . They use high quality aluminum billet and bro you want safety and performance look them up") thanks for watching
brian noel thanks for advice i have already ordered a engine mount tensioner from amazon but wont arrive till friday they said, plus sprocket and adapter cant wait.
Right on...
Thank you for the help!
welcome Jesse knowledge is the power that needs to be shared and I am always willing if i have it") thanks please come again a visit")
Use a pop can as a gasket for the head gasket a lot thinner and it won’t leak.

Watch this video or more information on this subject") thanks for watching
Also putting a pit bike carb on the motor will help
bigger carburetor always helps bro")
How do you like that spring chain tensioner? I bought one and haven't had time to install it yet
Great tips Brian, !
thanks please watch the rest of the playseries and let me know what you think. Here's the link: th-cam.com/play/PLKRmdCKcaPeYSFCSNZZptYctH8lIokW8F.html

You're welcome
Any advice on how to bend the stock muffler.
i am going to be bending mine here soon couple days -- yes i make the video it's not that complicated but can be stressful if you get the head pipe to hot in one spot! stay tuned i post the video soon")thanks for watching
I got it done... worked great. I attached it to a post and heated the stem with a benzamatic torch. The build is done and so incredibly fun.
cool see this stuff isn't hard just takes a minute to fit all the pieces together and make the one that don't")
Can you put togeather a gatherinf
Probably but then all the motorheads will be jealous and start hating first me then you once they figure out you gave me the idea unless you want to pay for it in that case it's $1000 up front for parts and labor -- $350 for aggervation and idiocy issues -- $250 for incendental expenses for beer and tacos from del taco -- $50 per call for support and troubleshooting the electrical system -- $500 for speciality tools and diagrams of the prototype engine -- $70 for new work boots -- and you cover the paint / powder coating up to $175.
After all that is paid I draw up the plans and start building the whatchamacallit for the altanator and I send you couple pictures next week of the progress on the 24pak of Miller's
Brian I've spend all night putting my bike together, 4rd time it fire up drove it for about 5minutes came to a stop sign, and it die have spend Half and hour and it won't fire up. Any suggestions bro. thank you.
Well brand new engine right? Mixed the oil an gas right? Set the gap on the plug correct? Turn on the gas? All the wire connections are good right?
@@Brian136 yes it just won't crank!
@@ravencruz7576 it is possible that you sexier the engine. Does it turn over just not starting? Or when you let the clutch out rolling it just skids to a stop?
@@Brian136 i peddle it holding down the clutch let go and skids skids and comes to a stop.
@@ravencruz7576 yup seized it. Either buy new engine or rebuild the one you got")
You're great bro, God bless!
How can you tell a 50 from a 80cc. I have motor but doesn't specify on the CC's. like most 2 stroke motors.
Challenge. Take a shot every time he says “you know what I’m saying “ you drunk?
Is that a 20 inch bike frame??
Spicoli! Fast times ! All i need are some tasty waves ! Ha Ha good to see you got a job ! Great Vids Dude ! I DO know what you sayin !
now that's a new one ") thanks bro i got some girl scout cookies...
my chain tensioner bolt broke an my chain comes off every time I peddle any advice
Really now you correcting grammar also dude???
Thanks for the video, gotta new sub
You sound like a man with a lot of wisdom! You need to keep making videos!

Wow your city must be approximately 17.7482393493 miles by 17.7482393493 miles lol I'm just joking man but cool vid and some very useful tips brother 👍🙏
i have HD 2 KAWASAKI 2 stroke contact point motorbike and I WANT TO CONVERT it to CDI...what should i do?
there is a kit that you can get from Kawaski that will change this over in a snap
The # on your spark plug is the heat range not more or less spark......know what I'm SAY'N ?
As far as the CDI when you get it unscrew each end and cut about a quarter inch off each end then re screw it back in
Thanks a lot 4 the info u no what i saying!
+brian noel thanks for making it clear I've never bought any mods for my motor I've always made them and right now my two-stroke motor bike is pushing around 13 hp and I've got a expansion chamber that I made and right now I'm building a custom head for it
you my new friend are the reason I do all of this stuff") guys like you that take what it is and do more with it are the corner stones of the whole motorized bike world. I am only a small book of knowledge that deals with the stock engine that everybody starts with") why haven't you made any videos of your bike? sounds like a ripper that needs to see the light on youtube")thanks for you input it matters
+brian noel I've just been to busy with with work I'm 16 and I own my own lawn care business's Plus I race my friends out there and I haven't told anyone the mods I do on the inside of the engine anything like that because I'm the fastest one out there and I want to keep it that way
+brian noel you should look up the two-stroke tuner book it will help you a lot you can buy it or you can look it up on the Internet but it's definitely worth it if you want to fine tune your engine
where does the motorized push bike Kill Switch go
ok I'll bite "it doesn't because it stops the enging from Running?" no serouisly i like to put thenm in front of the throttle grip for quick thumb action in case of emergencey activation. Thanks for watching")
here does the motorized push bike Kill Switch go
what do u mean by change the gearing
didn't get it? if you put a bigger sprocket on the back (more teeth say 48 or 50) you will change the gear to a lower set up-- on the other hand if you drop the teeth count (say to 38 or 36) you will bring the gear set up higher and tat means more speed over the rev range") get it now?
You are the Carl Spackler of motorized bicycles.
hey at least he got the fucking gopher dude")thanks for watching
I'm glad you have a sense of humor.
why wouldn't i? it's all in good fun beside how do you know if i'm saying it right")
great video 👍
great vid brother new sub
thanks at least you got the point of the video what most don't know is this is one of my first speeder bike videos and i was still getting used to being on camera. if u watch the rest you can see how i got better over time once comfortable with what i was doing") thanks for watching
brian noel yeah its all good im new to the videos too check out mine
I suggest taking the exhaust cap off, feels like a different engine.
I got a motorised push bike I got no brakes but need a kill switch
D
gff Copssf
Michael Edmaiston you got me????
Dgff Copssf you didn't get one in the kit? use a button from home depot wire it into the main wire loom put it on the bars kill switch...
Change out the china spark plug cable. I went with a universal 8mm automotive one. Its a tight squeeze into the CDI. Got a HUGE acceleration increase!
Yea, I know what you're saying, bro :^)
how do you set it up ?
i know what you,re saying bro. good job.
I ALWAYS!!! Know what your saying..
so higher the clip leaner and clip lower is richer
