The lead singer is original, but he replaced the rest if the band in 2017. The rest of the original members have a separate band named "The Kings of Disco"
At least they're performing with a live band. Other than that, it falls flat. While I'm happy for Victor Willis for getting his royalties and the rights to the group back, I think his recasting of replacements for the originals leaves much to be desired. You don't need to have muscle-bound Chippendales rejects backing you up. They're himbos. Part of the original guys' appeal was that they were relatively "normal" in terms of bodies (In shape? Definitely. Bodybuilders? Not quite.) That's part of the irony of the song "Macho Man." There are obviously other factors involved in that song's irony, but they were definitely making fun of gym culture. These guys here are the ones they were singing about...
