Not really, but Invictus games are, because no one dies, I was so surprised because normally all the beginners die instantly, which is not the case here, because all of them can play tetris

As the game gets faster it takes less time to drop. Once you get to max speed (20G) the pieces drop 20 lines per frame. Given there are only 20 lines in the playing field, this effectively means they drop instantaneously to already placed pieces.

It's not actually a theme but a new gamemode. You can only play in it if you've won an online match before. So you know your opponents are good Tetris players. And as you saw in the top 10, the speed is much higher than in a normal game.

It seems like regular mode slowed down it's gravity at the top 15 to me, and it looks like Invictus is a lot faster than it was before

You can play it only if you won a game before
basically you have to get first place, i.e., Tetris Maximus in tetris 99 to play this mode, called Tetris Invictus.
It's a bit faster to the point where you can't even see the pieces falling late game
